    " I now depart from my parents country. If I don't win, I won't come back alive".
    So heartbreaking 💔 but prophetic. Far too many of the Japanese soldiers who served overseas in WWII never made it back home.
    In many cases, not even their ashes.

      Same with the sailors of the Arizona. Sunk in their bunks. Never to return home. On eternal patrol. Too many people forget Japan's role in starting the war.

      Uh, that's a difficult question. As I check way to call, this song is called “Nihon rikugun” on many sites but “Nippon rikugun” often used on CZcams. I cannot completely say either one is correct🙃

      "Nippon rikugun" is not a mistake but "Nihon rikugun" is the correct name.
      Anyway, it's an awesome translation. Thank you.

    • @reynaldoflores4522
      @reynaldoflores4522 Před 2 lety +12

      Both are correct. Japanese is partly a non-phonetic language. The kanjis 日本 stand for " Japan" and may be pronounced either " Nihon" ( にほん ) or" Nippon" ( にっぽん ).
      During WWII, the pronunciation officially approved by the Japanese Imperial government was " Nippon".
