- The minimap in WoWS is an absolute treasure trove of information on what the enemy is going to do, yet it has to be one of the most neglected parts of the game.

I wish players tried to make a habit of glancing on the minimap, it has so much useful information about both the enemy and your own team.

The CVs on legends just became ABSOLUTELY BROKEN. If you do play on there be careful.

I am surprised Wargaming hasn't removed the mini-map all together to protect carriers.

Using the minimap can be rlly useful for figuring out where ships can be and where they will go, it has a lot of information if you know how to use it.
maps are for dweebs
People keep the map the size of an ant or dont use any translucency on the map so they run into ships on their right side if it is large.
Hearing AL Dunkerque as the commander of Mogador got me thinking. When I first started watching Flamu, I didn't take him as the sort to be interested in anime. But with other AL commanders on other ships & even Kiara of Hololive on Elbing, I've been proven wrong time and time again.
I just wish we'd get the starter girls in. So Laffey, Javelin, Nimi, and Ayanami.
They're not busty though, so probably won't see it any time soon. Yukikaze and Shimakaze are the only more petite captains I think I've seen so far.

Shame the full screen view of the map in-game is so unresponsive. There would be no problem if it was a simple near-instant fade into a map overlay.
Good video. As I get better, I'm understanding the information you present better. Going from seeing the green and red dots on the mini-map to understanding the meaning of where those dots are takes quite a bit of experience with the various ships and maps in the game. I would have had my guns on the spot you indicated, btw.

It's one reason I like playing torpedo DDs: you have so much downtime you often end up spending a big part of your time reading the map, so much that it becomes automatic when playing more "involved" ships.
That, and I like reading maps.

🤷🏼♀️My last Kraken was with Cataluna in ranked last season , but I won't focus on getting it, my Kraken achievements are competing in rarity with my Solo Warrior( 6 vs 3 in 6K random, 6K+ ranked).

To be fair "the only logical choice" for the enemy ship is often not even obvious for the captain of said ship. And it is getting worse.
I mean of course if you win its fine because you want that to happen. Maybe i cant tell how much base xp the Malbo got from dealing full damage to your Ship but he saved his star and in my opinion a player that takes that kind of bad ship and plays to the border should not save his star. Maybe he would have saved his star anyway or he got the first place from dealing full damage to your ship.
Who cares? Get your damage, he'll fail his way to the top anyways.
Maybe one day the game will be worth playing again.

People use mini map?! Flamu, that's too hard for the average person to understand! People reading the mini map is almost non-existent like Legends playerbase trying to enjoy anything other than CVs right now. Legends Kaga can restore a plane every 12s(with restoration mod and Collab CV commander Iona w/ her base trait buffing resto). You send one squadron out. As soon as you return to the CV to launch another squadron. The one you lost is already restored.
For players who using minimap on active battlefield is too hard just go play city building games. At least if you fucked up your city planing you are at least not getting insta-kill by random object you missed on the map

One may assume that Flolo after years of playing WoWS understands that 80% of player base consists of potatoes. One would be wrong. Flolo has endless faith in humanity and player base. On the other hand, why woud potato listen to what some rando from his team has to say, from potatoe`s point of view you are a potato too.

Here's my take on it. You seem like a fairly neurotypical person. Not everybody is. My minimap has been at the maximum size since about 2019. I've tried for _years_ to train myself to look at the minimap, but I often get surprised by ships that have been spotted for minutes in the wide open 8 km from me. Why? Because I have pretty bad ADHD, and I'm not properly medicated for it at the moment because the American health care system _sucks._ I hyperfocus on things, which means my brain has no capacity to do anything but the one thing I'm doing (like aiming and shooting at a ship). Despite years of trying, I still can't force my brain to stop focusing on that one thing for a moment to do something else. It's like if one process is taking all of your system RAM, your computer isn't going to do anything else until that task is done. It frustrates me to no end because I can't seem to do anything about it. You're lucky; you don't have to fight your own brain to play this game.
Come on, everyone has ADHD now? You're exception here in the player base not using minimap, not the rule.
