Something I just figured out from fixing my 2012 dodge journey. When replacing cam sensors or other sensors always use the Mopar parts. After market parts didn't work for I put three aftermarket cam sensors that would not work. Bought 2 Mopar sensors and bam no more problem.

I got one for you. We got a 09 dodge dakota in the shop that this customer brought us that he had at another shop that they couldn't figure out. When we got it the check engine light was on along with the red lightning bolt flashing. I pulled the codes there where 19 different codes. Someone put a new throttle body and accelerator pedal because the red lightning bolt light was flashing the vehicle would not rev and ran extremely rough and had extended cranking time. The one code that stood out to me was the p0652 for the 5 volt reference signal. I checked the volt reference on many different sensor and sometimes you would have the 5 volts then alot of the times you wont. You wont belive what i found wrong with it. Down on the driver side of the tranny the smaller black connector was soaked in tranny fliud and the insulation had pulled away from the wires causing the 5 volt reference wire to short to the tranny case. I fixed the wires and that was all that is wrong with it. We also fixed the leaking cooler line

From my experience, Ford dealerships are either incompetent or corrupt. They denied they could find the problem. I didn't know much about vehicles, but I did the diagnostic myself and found the problem. Then I found out that part of the engine was under warranty at the time. Crooks or incompetent people? You tell me. This is one of multiple bad experiences. I will never purchase another Ford and now I do all my own work on my vehicles.

Good luck finding a certified mechanic (not CZcams certified) in Panama. I’m a old school mechanic and thought: Well it can’t be that bad and if something comes up I fix it myself. Until I bought a used car. Some electrical issues. Got under the car…. WTF. All wires some mechanics replaced are black. All of them. I did even find a coffee maker cable (you know the one normally attached to a coffee maker 😂) going from one point to whatever point. So I must check out all damn wire to find the one what has the issue. After I asked my question here to a shop guy: WTF does this work? - Answer? “A certified mechanic!” 😅😂🎉

2.4 Mitsubishi. Had a p0300 multiple misfire code then It finally died. I got it back home and had that code plus the cam and crankshaft sensor codes stored. Car still starts up that runs really rough and barely refuses to accelerate. Help me out

took my charger to the dealer for a recall on a timing chain. got it back with a leak and didnt notice it right away they want to split the cost with me to fix it... its gonna be hard to go back to that dealership for any repairs.. dealers not always the best mechanic.

I left the codes set on the Chevy van at work. I'm not going to be the one working on it so their chosen shop needs to be able to see whatever is stored to fix it. It keeps dropping cylinder four under heavy loads, but runs fine when just driving it normally. I guess I should make sure the spark plug wire isn't loose, or the plug first.

Man I am going crazy I have a 3.6 2012 that goes into limp mode on a p0394 code at sustained highway speeds and i have replaced PCM, checked wiring, replaced the drivers and pass cam sensors, phaser actuators, and then it still threw a code. Now I've pulled the valve covers and I tested the phasers. They are not loose at all. What next? Do I just replace the phasers anyway?

Is there a flash update for the 06 dodge charger sxt 3.5 High output I change the throttlebody mass, airflow sensor, crank sensor, and the TCM my car cranks up run for a minute Dan cuts off. I have to crank it three or four times before it stays running unless I get it going, sometimes at a red light or a stop sign, the car randomly cuts off but will crank back up and while driving if I give it too much gas, it cuts off and cut back on all his own. No check engine light but I do have codes saying you 110B and you 100

I'm getting a crank position sensor intermitted code on my 2012 grand caravan. Hard to start sometimes. I want to take it to the shop to get diagnosed but I dont really trust the shop but I dont have any other choice. What if it just needs a flash update. I think this shop would still charge me to replace the part but not do anything. Reason being is that the last time I went there I had them to change one of my brake caliper and pads. From my understanding they were supposed to do both front ones for 800 something. Turns out they only did 1. and they are supposed to check all the fluids for free. And I paid for an oil change. It didn't appear that they changed the oil at all. I took another one of my cars there to get a replacement catalytic converter. They replaced the muffler and charged 1200. Meineke is a fucking nightmare. But they are the only shop close to me. They pissed me off so much I changed the other caliper and rotor myself for less than 300.
