Hi! As far as I am aware senior citizens need not appear for interviews but have to be there for biometric. But please check on the ustraveldocs website as I am not very familiar with the process for elderly.
Ohh while you can keep checking on your own if it’s urgent you can contact a visa agent who help you book slots (but they charge exorbitant amount). Also there are paid telegram groups available that notify as soon as new slots open
Hi. My parents visited today for their Biometrics in Chennai, they also got a sticker on their passports but it only has the bar code and today's date i.e 27th March 9 am. Nothing was mentioned about the interview date in the sticker as explained in the video. What does it mean?

It is highly advisable to reach 15 mins early.. it’s alright to reach on time as well. Not sure what happens if you arrive late! Yes you can use locker … they are big enough to keep a small suitcase and laptop

Hey! As far as I am aware this is not entertained once the passports are submitted. But anyways they are quite quick with the processing and you’ll easily get your passport back within a week or so!

We did carry our educational certificates including marksheets just in case they ask for it. But they didn’t ask for anything! Lot of people I know also weren’t asked but always good to carry extra documents to be safe!

Hi, I filled out my DS 160 form yesterday and chose Chennai. Fortunately, I got an appointment for biometrics in Kolkata on the 27th and an interview on the 29th in Mumbai. Do I have to edit the ds160 form?
Our biometric was on 30th April. Interview on 11th May. Both processes in Chennai. We had booked our slots on 27th April. Received our passport by courier on 13th May in Bangalore.

Hey! They’ll scan the code on your DS-160 at the centre so you don’t have to inform them anything separately. I didn’t see translators at the biometric centre but I guess you shouldn’t have a problem finding someone who speaks your language as they are not Americans but Indian officials. Also you only have to tell them your name and date of birth for the process. Rest is biometric and photo capture

On the website you need to book appointment for both biometric & interview together. - First your biometric happens and then your interview. - There needs to be ATLEAST a 1-day gap between the two dates.

We stay at Guindy area. Lot of decent hotels here. For the patch/big , please ask at the biometric centre by showing your passport pic. They’ll be able to guide you best.

Hey, today I saw a video of a travel vlogger wherein he booked his interview slot in Europe, and at the US embassy itself, his biometrics was done on the day of the interview. So I think maybe it's in India only or in a few other countries where we need to book two separate appointments. Just sharing :)

How do you get a Translator there in the office?
When you’ll reach the interview booths room they’ll ask you if you need a translator and accordingly guide you to the right booth.
