Elvis was able to fuse the Southern white church style and the Southern black church styles of singing with his beautiful style and voice. He still mesmerizes us all to this day, his truth and passion and talent performing this is so overpoweringly obvious. Elvis was able to bring people of all ethnicities together. Humanity misses his presence.
Goose bump still after all these years, he had the voice, the look, the ability to sing from the raspy rocks to the soulful gospels, etc. all in one. He gave his all to the fans, they always came first.
There's another clip of him singing this live just three years earlier on CZcams and he is in much better physical condition. Amazing though that he put every ounce of his being into this song. HIs health was almost gone, but his Spirit was strong.
