- Incredible day in Yogyakarta! We are going a little bit outside of the city. We ride for the first time in Indonesia a rickshaw to visit the beautiful temple of Plaosan. At night, we have a fabulous and extremely spicy dinner!

if you need some place with cold atmosphere ,you can visit Dieng Plateau in Wonosobo region central of java,maybe aproximately 3 hours drive from yogyakarta

Prambanan Temple is more big Hindu Temple near Yogyakarta. And Borobudur Temple is biggest Buddhis temple in the word, at Muntilan (about 50 km from Yogyakarta).

In Jogjakarta, you should try wet gudeg since you had a dry gudeg. You should try Mie Godog, javanese fried noodle, javanese fried rice Pele.

If you want to take a transportation in the city you can take transjogja bus or online taxi like (gojek/grab) but especially when in malioboro street you can take a âbecakâ or âandongâ you can negotiate the price if you feel a bit pricey đ sadly in Yogyakarta itâs rare to find a rent of bicycle.. have a good day

If you can dealt with the heat. Yogyakarta is wonderful.
It is dificult to rent bicyle (no one ride bicycle anymore). It is easier to rent motorbike there.
Yeah it's wonderful!! For the bicycle we believe it's because of the weather... not a lot people want to do it under the sun (may be only us haha) đ

I am very sad to see foreign tourists being given tickets many times the price of domestic tourists, even though the number of foreign tourists is small, or the currency is bigger than Indonesia, that's not the way to do it either. Hopefully there is a correction from the regional tourism office.
Saya sangat sedih melihat turis asing diberi tiket berkali-kali lipat dari harga turis domestik, walaupun jumlah turis asing sedikit, atau mata uang lebih besar dari Indonesia, ya gak gitu juga caranya. Semoga ada koreksi dari dinas pariwisata daerah.
Lah, harga turis kan emang harus lebih mahal dong.

@@FREDWALKERINDO Lah, ya memang haruslah, enak aja pake bilang ngga nyaman. Itu memang peraturan yang dibikin pemerintah. Kalo mau protes, protes ke Menteri Pariwisata. Emang itu salah satu cara untuk mendapatkan pemasukan dari sektor pariwisata. Ke Raja Ampat itu mahal buat turis lokal, tapi buat turis asing jauh lebih mahal. Bahkan, ada wacana untuk menaikkan lagi biaya untuk datengÂČ ke tempatÂČ yang memang daerahnya harus dijaga lingkungannya, misalnya Raja Ampat & Wakatobi, supaya ngga kebanjiran turis, yang berdampak ngga bagus buat lingkungannya.

Yea....budget travellers don't have to go to Prambanan and Borobudur, they are too expensive. Plaosan is good enough. This also applies to locals.
We hope next time to go to others temples but yeah we chose plaosan because of budget related and happy with it đ„°

I like mie gacoan at level 1 or 2 đ canât take another level of spicy. And my favorite side dish is Udang Keju (prawn dimsum with cheese inside)

Haha Lyn is same although she likes spicy but not too spicy. Level 1 is good for her. Level 4 can be really spicy for some people and it was also for me at some point. So I can't imagine level 8. đ€

As much as he may have jack up the price, but it would be really great if you could consider giving the full price to him as that may be his only source of income. And he is really old.
