I finally got my Dragonball Z Fusion Reborn / Wrath of the Dragon (Double Feature) DVD. Which has both movies Digitally Remastered and 3 audios (Eng + Jap Music, Eng + Eng Music, Jap + Jap Music). So heres a great scene I thought I'd share with you guys, taken from Movie 12 Fusion Reborn, where Goku and Vegeta fuse to form Gogeta for the first time, and take out the villain Janemba.

This is the best version of Gogeta. He's already powered up to max level from the start. He's not coming in looking for fun or a challenge. Just straight to the point. Serious from the moment he's born. Gets the job done within seconds. Straight badass. No need to let the fight drag out or wait for his opponent to do something sneaky and catch him off guard
It is like Goku's character with seriousness of Vegeta.
Vegito however is proud as a Vegeta but dumb like a Goku XDD
To be fair it’s saiyan’s nature to have pleasure in fighting, it’s only logical for Gogeta to drag out the fight with broly for the fun of it, and he still got the job done. Plus it gives him more personality

when Gogeta Blue appears he promptly teleports to Broly and begins taking names
when Gogeta Red appears he has a win condition - he can't just overpower Omega, he has to force his hand before he can.
It’s scary to imagine that both Vegito and Gogeta could’ve possibly used SSJ2 and obliterate their opponents
I honestly agree this gogeta appeared for the shortest time of any gogeta but I loved every second of his appearance he had a serious take no shit demeanour and finished the fight with no hesitation and honestly I really liked how this contasted with vegitos personality who was cocky arrogant and liked to toy with their opponent but when it all came down to it he still came through when it counted it the vastly different personalities which still perfectly matched with goku and vegeta served to make them feel like two entirely separate people rather the the same two people combined by a different method honestly dbs gogeta just felt like a carbon copy of vegito and gt felt like a more exaggerated version of vegito and honestly it feels like a wasted opportunity to make these two characters feel like different characters although not that it matters much in the end since both characters almost never show up because the writers just decided GoKu AnD vEgEtA aRe ToO pRoUd To FuSe so we'll basically never see them again unless its in a non cannon fanservice series like dragon ball heroes not that Im complaining I like fanservice I just hate how everyone starts a big fight in comments whenever anything non cannon is brought up despite the fact that (IMO) all official content is valid regardless of cannon

No one realizes they're looking at the one and only best drawn and animated movie from the entire Dragon Ball franchise. Everything is on point, from the perspective, spatial dimension, quality of line down to the colors, perfect volume of the subjects, choreography and movements, you don't get this type of quality in today's hand-drawn animated shows. You just don't. That's the highest prowess of the 90s in television shows.

Gogeta's fight with Janemba, starting with his first attack at 1:50 to when Janemba hits him for the first and last time at 2:32 literally lasts less than 45 seconds. This man had 2 minutes of screen time in his own damn movie and he was still one of the most popular characters in the whole franchise.

It's crazy how Gogeta did so much with so little. The actual fighting was one melee combo and an energy blast.
And you can tell he could beat Janemba EVEN FASTER if he was actually trying. LOL. He's not putting that much effort in any of his movements. It just happens that his numbers are SO HIGH that even that small showing is enough to beat Janemba.

This is still the coldest scene in Dragon Ball history. No jokes, no gimmicks, and no stalling. Just a straight minute of Gogeta flexing on Janemba's skull and promptly ending his career.

I love how Vegito assumes he's "Goku+Vegeta", the combined mind and power of both and a complete result of a fusion, whereas Gogeta, even when assuming he's a fusion, as seen in his dialogue with Freeza, states that he's neither of them, but rather a completely new presence.

The fusion is so powerful they are already super Saiyan. His aura is everywhere, not just around him, and he beats janemba up with wind attacks. Plus, he doesn't even walk, he hovers. I don't know how they say vegito is the stronger fusion, based on presentation, and execution, you'd think gogeta was.
Also, his stardust breaker is probably the coolest finisher in dragon ball history.
Vegetto is more powerful because the Potara Earrings multiply power levels, while the Fusion Dance adds.
Fusion Dance - 10,000 + 10,000 = 20,000
Potara - 10,000 x 10,000 = 100,000,000
No, that's not how it works. Otherwise SSJ3 Gotenks would've been killed in one punch by Super Buu. The fusion dance is weaker, but it's not a flat addition.

That's such a cool detail. Gogeta doesn't need to 'ki dash' like most DBZ characters. His ki control is so absurd you can tell he's barely putting any effort and EVEN THEN his speed is so insane Janemba can't even react!

guess its just how i remember it vegito just always seemed to toy with his opponent (guessing thats down to vegeta been the dominant part of that fusion) but i remember watching fusion reborn for the first time years ago as a kid and watching in amazement as gogeta just got straight down to business and just destroyed janemba in under a minute in such a bad ass way like it wasn't even a challenge for him guess thats why i like gogeta more

One of the absolute best, if not the, best DBZ movies. Janemba is badass and has unique abilities, the story is decent, Pikkon is awesome, and Gogeta is the GOAT. Gorgeous animation too.

Rip legend. After coming from school used to watch dbz in TV when it aired. Then later watched Db dbz and dbs. Dbs used to watch in college and used to get up 9 am and watch weekly air episode on yt with friends.

This animation style will never be touched in my mind. By far the best. The look, the effects, the choreography, the attacks they made up, and the music. Super doesn’t hold a candle to this

One of the things in this fight that I love the most is pointed out the least, that Gogeta’s power is literally the anti-chaos to Janemba’s dimensional-level chaos brought upon by his very presence alone. Those heavy blows Gogeta landed on Janemba seemingly do something to the background because he’s so strong, each blow is literally affecting *everything* and can be felt across reality. Even Super hasn’t conjured up any antagonists this powerful (I know Hit exists but I believe his Time Skip to be a different case).

@Denzel Amaniampong this does. Just one tone the entire battle from start to finish. No games. No messing around. No transforming in the middle of a fight. Just straight up fully powered up Super Saiyan from the start of the battle and finished the guy off in seconds. He didn't have to wait and feel his opponent out or drag the fight. That's how it should always be done

K_B design The Z series didn’t have gogeta, right...? I’m comparing the design against dbs: broly and GT ssj4 gogeta.
The dbs gogeta animation was kinda bad in some scenes, it kinda looked like ep 36(one of those first eps of dbs, where some scenes where kinda rushed), I was so surprised that so many people liked it.
Also the design just looked goofy... idk how to explain it... it’s like a R34 vs a R35, with the nissan skyline gt-r r34 being janemba’s gogeta.
The r35 just looks weird and will never look as bad ass as the R34!

Since Gogeta is a fusion of Goku and Vegeta, I think that the Goku side of Gogeta wants the good in people to come out, while vegeta, having spent most of his life being a villain knows the difference between true good and true evil. So in a sense Soul Punisher literally punishes the soul of evil while simultaneously freeing the good in people. For instance, if you ever watched fusion reborn, the kid that appears after Janemba is defeated, is Innocent because he accidentally created Janemba and was the absorbed by Janemba. Another example of this is in the Broly movie, when Gogeta uses Soul Punisher on Broly, he smiles and laughs for a split second after the attack hit Broly, because he knows that the attack didn't hurt him because he's innocent, and was merely being manipulated by Frieza.
In the french version he say:
I'm not goku or vegeta and i don't need a name to stop you
So for us, french we didn't even know what his name was

That's because the french dub decided to follow the japanese dialogue more accurately than the american dub. In japanese, Gogeta says "I'm not Goku or Vegeta, I'm the one who's going to stop you". In my personal opinion it was an intelligent choice by the writer to not make him give away his name: Gogeta knew the fight would be over in 10 seconds, thus telling Janemba his name was pointless. This little detail makes him come across as even more of a cold blooded badass.

And I think I’m reading too much into that face, but Gogeta’s left side of his face kinda resembles the Vegeta half with the smaller iris and his right side be the Goku half since that iris is a bit bigger. It might just be an animation error, but normally Goku has slightly larger irises in his eyes than Vegeta to show his innocence I’m guessing, so it really plays into how Gogeta is half and half of both of them

I got this movie as a kid for my birthday from Toys R Us because if I remember correctly the English Dub dvd didn’t release until years after Budokai 3 so when I first saw screenshots of Gogeta on IGN, I thought it was adult Gotenks. So after playing Budokai 3 and finding out how cool Gogeta was, when I saw Fusion Reborn in Toys R Us (I wanna say it was 2006) I immediately told my mom I wanted it as one of my gifts (along with a Wrestlmania entrance ramp set) and while I enjoyed Fusion Reborn at that time, watching it back now as an adult made me realize just how good of a DBZ movie it was overall (compared to the other DBZ films) and I kinda wish it was still canon or considered apart of the series (yeah I know some of the events don’t match up timeline wise such as Goku and Vegeta being dead in other world at the same time) but I am glad that Gogeta is finally canon and has a base form

Gogeta here is probably his most badass appearance ever. He takes no shit, just comes in, wastes no time, and gets shit done. And that knee to the back of the neck is just brutal! One of the most painful looking hits I've seen in the series! He was still dope in GT of course, but he wasted too much time and split before he got the job done unlike here. And don't even get me started on DBS Gogeta...

Here is an interesting thought: Here we see Gogeta has a halo, obviously because Vegeta was dead, and so Gogeta was "born dead". In the Buu saga Goku talks directly about the bodily differences between being dead and alive, he was able to sustain and use SSJ3 much easier when he was in Other World. Now we know SSJ3 was the most "demanding" of the original super saiyan transformations, so this property is most prominent here, but it is also universal. This means Gogeta had the full benefit of being dead as far as his body and energy consumption properties, additionally, Vegeta is currently dead (Goku has been dead as well so that can add to this argument) so try to imagine the level of knowledge of the afterlife, the plane of existence they are on, etc..
Gogeta immediately says "Every force you create has an echo..." meaning he is born with instant, complete knowledge of hell and how to use it against a creature that was born of the very fabric of hell. Hell, Gogeta himself was born in hell. All of this culminates in Gogeta not only dominating Janemba, but literally, almost mathematically, he disassembles the very fabric of "reality" that Janemba is, and exists on/in. The very existence of Gogeta in this brief time essentially was on the scale of a god (I use the word "scale" carefully here, he is by no means a god, I speak relatively based on the short time span and realm of existence), and he should have immediately garnered the attention of the gods, etc.. Yeah yeah the movie isn't cannon but it's cool.
