US version is so well done. Using licensed soundtracks for movies makes it feel special and distinct from the anime. Their choices of music fit very well, too. And the voice acting was incredible. Look at Broly screaming in pain as he transforms or Goku screaming for more power.
Technically, throughout the whole time they were fighting Broly, nobody could damage him or do anything close to being on the same level as him. Goku then having the power to fight Broly was actually when a "real fight" began
So what I've gathered from this is: goku focused all the new power he got into hitting his stomach, coincidentally where broly was stabbed as a child, causing him to burst like a balloon because his constantly overflowing ki just wouldn't stop trying to escape from that little hole goku put in him.
He only did this type of 1v1 against cell as the original plan is to let gohan deal with cell. He only wanted to test his own strength against cell and let gohan beat cell. That's why he did a 1v1

Broly is much stronger than Goku even with the energy that he received, but his energy was evenly distributed around his body, allowing Goku's fist to penetrate both his ki shield and his body like a blade. That's why Broly exploded: He was literally popped like a balloon.
Brolys body is basically a pressure vessel with all that power. When goku pierced his body, it basically allowed all that built up power inside to be released at once, which is why he explodes. Broly had immense power, but not even he could fully keep it under control.
Realized something: Broly/kale in this form are too strong and overpowering to be worn down in a battle and a one shot victory is the only way to get them. They don't take gradual damage and can keep fighting if their opponent doesn't have enough to best them in one blow. In a way broly could outlast everyone as well as kale unless their opponent one shots them. Other villains take damage. It's similar to kid buu they just don't really take damage
The old Broly will always be menacing and my favourite Broly the new one is good but just don’t like him as much as the old one he just fits the amount of power he really has

Goku's best bet was One-shotting Broly. Lets not forget that Broly was too arrogant to actually even entertain the thought of anyone exploiting his Weakness. And like I said, Goku did not engage in a long drawn up fight with Broly nor did he try to wear him down. He just focussed his energy into his fist and Punched Broly right in the gut.
With the new movie he got rewritten and in my opinion has a better character and motivation. I still like this Brolys brutality though because it fits with the rock music so well.
Great they defeated Brody and will be ready for anyone who happens to challenge them because they are the Z fighters and they always get stronger with each fight. Keep up the resilience and their will even be luck for u too Vegeta😌
