MacGregor despite them, shall flourish for ever. We are Siol Alpin, Royal is my Race. Remember the Battle of Glen Fruin, 7th February 1603. The MacGregor's won the battle, but they lost the public support of their countrymen. As a result of MacGregor superior military tactics and routing a much larger force, King James VI proscribed the name MacGregor and all who bore it were under pain of death. The Campbell's hunted MacGregor's down like animals using bloodhounds. These were indeed dark days for the "children of the mist". Against all odds Clan Gregor survived against unjust genocide and today we can proudly cry Ard Choille!

My 5x Gr grandmother was Margaret McGregor, B: 1783 in Balqhidder, D: Nov 10 1858 in Trois Riviers Quebec, Canada. I’ve never been able to explain my love for Scotland. I’ve always believed I was born in the wrong country. This is a wonderful video and the music is enchanting. Boy am I late to the party. Lol.
