Worth up to 20,000, but since it has a slight bend its worth 1,500🤔
Best I can do is fifty cents, it was worth a dollar; but it's got a crease.
Collectors pay 20k when it’s in full condition 1,500 would sell fast but it can be worth around 6k if it will be on the market for 5months and that’s too long for rick
Yeah.. How ridiculous can these reality shows be. Top of the line turns to 1500 in a second. Well I don't really feel sorry for the idiots who sell to these scammers because they got to be idiots..
I know right
The problem is this seller is a degenerate gambler In Vegas who just wants money to put it back in a slot machine...11 hundred dollars....wtf !!!!!!
*picks it up and bends it*
“Yeah, it’s bent”
Zeus Knobblewacker just bend it back
Not bent, folded. Like someone folded to put in their pocket, like most people do, then it sat in a book for a long. He didn't come anywhere near folding. This is why I'm coming to hate watching these clips. If it's not arm chair appraisers (who have exactly zero clues about what they're talking about), it's the even bigger idiots that think they're committing fraud on national TV.
This is crazy from 20k to 1500 .im sure the expert is gonna get a good commission check in the mail.
amrit hehar I’ve dealt in currency for a while (mostly US coin currency and can say this is true). Each grade for a coin matters just like a bill. In coins the scale goes from 1-70. Take a Morgan dollar as an example. Some Morgan’s from AU (almost uncirculated, grades 50-58) to MS(Mint State, grades 60-70) can range 10 to 20,000 dollars in price. Some jumps just from one grade like MS 64 to 65 can be double. This is how the currency market works. It’s all on population and desire that makes the bill or coin worth the most $$$.
@Ahmad Sheikh-Ali the experts are brought in by the history channel. Rick has nothing to do with the experts on the show
@@rickshiandmoku4128 and u know that because rick told u?????
Lol facts probs a scam
Obviously they’re his friends
He should've kept it and got it graded.
Ufohunter007 absolutely
Seriously and wait longer because it could be worth more if a woman does go on another bill.
True that
For sure. It would also gain value over time.
Customer : I want $ 1500
Rick: I have to make a living, I will offer you one left sock and a hand job from Corey
Customer: great
Rick: okay great, let's go around back and do some paper work
Lmao
Cee Bee lmfao
Customer bartered well on this one
Omg hahah
$1100 was a fair price. You want more, sell it on eBay and deal with those fees and hassles. If there is a problem, eBay will almost always side with the buyer.
The seller is Bryan Caraway, really good MMA fighter. Didn’t expect to see him here. Love it when two things I enjoy come together.
I don’t think most people noticed that, must be on hard times since Tate left him.
I noticed he was an mma fighter because of how his ears look
good eye...I noticed too
I guess this is the sort of the gig that MMA fighters do on the side to keep food on the table.
Pork Cutlet
Yeah cause they’re douchebags
Rick meets woman
Woman: wanna come back to my hotel
Rick: erm.. I dont know anything about this.. let me just call my buddy get him down to have a look
What type of grade doesnt wear gloves
????
Most, gloves tend to increase the risk of damaging paper. Clean hands are all you need.
@@HankenORIGINAL no they don't...
NGC and pcgs graders don't wear gloves while they handle coins
@@adam-uy6qg uh.. because they're coins. Not paper.
1: get it graded
2: take it to an auction, like Heritage
3: collect your money.
1. Don’t blow it.
2. Keep it simple.
3. Count your money.
Lose 10% or more in auction
1. Get it graded
2. Take it to pawnshop
3. Get your money with out commission.
Why does that expert think it's ok to put his DNA and oil from his hands all over that bill?
@NWAZ flatEarther r u a flat earthers
It's what i was thinking, bill that age is worth a lot more, anyways ..
first of all, that's not how DNA works. secondly, because 3 other people have already done the same thing. shut your trap idiot
NWAZ flatEarther no wonder u think the show is fake, you think that something we literally have pictures of being round, is flat.
@@downfall963 not to mention....out of the hundreds of trillions of planets out there, ours is literally the only one that's flat? Sure, Jan. Adjust your foil hat 🤣
Rick: "I need to make a living". DUDE you got a TV show, you own a pawn shop and low ball everybody that walks through the door. You are doing just fine man.
not to mention he's making money from these youtube videos
DUDE, it's *PAWN SHOP* you want too dollar find a buyer yourself, you want quick cash you take it to a pawn shop. That's how business works. No one thinks of the back end costs, like rent, or insurance.
@@glennhefel i doubt it, this is likely all going to the history, well 65% does, the rest goes to CZcams. OTOH, CZcams *has* started putting ads on non monetized channels, which means they could be getting nothing
0:58 pause there and you’ll see it
?
🍑
I saw It!
"I'm an expert... blah blah blah"
Picks up bill with no gloves exposing oils on the bill..
Why is he dropping prices like 30,000 and then he's like: sAdlY tHerE iS A cENTre fOlD sO iTS worTH 1500
Never lose sleep over the small stuff shut up you clown
I have a feeling they have the experts come in and offer them a percent so the shop can make a boat load of money!
I can't unsee his ear.
Is it me? Or do I feel like these experts often be slick about the “retail” price on these items.
Oh yeah, they're definitely risking jail time and their careers by committing fraud on national tv. Even though they've already negotiated the price with the show's staff before they ever walked in the door.
Dude's a fighter lol. Look at those ears!
Lmao I can’t believe nobody realize that’s Bryan caraway he’s a ufc fighter married to misha Tate .
Yeah I thought he might have been, I was gonna say something ab his cauliflower ear lol
Big Ugly Boy IV he’s so unrecognizable I guess he’s not really a well known fighter he’s not conor McGregor let’s just say .
Not married to anyone
Most people don't actually watch UFC fighting ya know.
Being married to her isn’t a good thing girls 😺 is everywhere
Rick: "best I can do is 1 potato"
I would love to hear him actually say that with a straight face haha
I'm no expert but shouldn't 'the expert' be wearing gloves when handling money.. ?
He call himself an expert?
"My friend, Martha Washington is in town. She knows everything there is to know about US currency. Mind if I call her to come check this out?"
The grader Rick called in just happened to estimate the value the owner mentioned. Hmm coincidence? 10-20K amost perfect---1500.
Grading is really specific and finicky, coins have 70 grades, and the difference between them can be massive
"I'm an expert in rare United States paper currency." Translation: I'm one guestimate away from homelessness.
Rick " Best thing i can do is, Give you Nothing, Not a Penny More!"
4:06 Corey desperate for that fatherly validation on his lame joke...
BFB-DanceySteve
4:04
rick seems to have a friend for everything
Let me call my friend to approve of this comment because I don’t know too much about this
That Bill would be worth 5 gees easy !
Lol
I know it's worth 1500 but I have too pee so I'll offer you an empty ramen noodle cup
Gotta love the people Rick hires to be his "experts". He will get it graded and sell it for $10K.
Brian Ex Cup Cake Tate...lol
people in the know, know what I'm talking about
JAY O lol our right. Ex-champs man
Facts lol
Is this a gooey muffin reference?
I was thinking it but had to check the comments to make sure lmao
He’s forever a champ in my eyes getting to beat those cheeks.
1:34 Rack in the back
Hey! It's MMA fighter Bryan Caraway. 😳🥊🥊
"hearing that it could be worth $10,000" he knows he won't be getting $10,000
I feel they probably called the guy and told him just say it’s worth $1500
Bs he said $20k!! They probably sold it for $10k
Victor Torres looks that way
Yup he got 1500 comission haha
That's Brian Caraway (UFC fighter)
That's why he has cauliflower 👂
@@cylentkills Yeah, his a really good fighter. And he's helped build champions.
It’s crazy to think that in a couple hundred years people will look at our money and say how amazing it is.
That guy wasn't a professional grader that bill looked mint .wonder what commission he got. On it
But he had a light.......
@@pipesmoker4238 he was bending the bill, putting his hands on it. clearly wasnt an expert
@@pipesmoker4238 he a jedi knight
Appraiser: This magnificent piece is worth about $250,000. Take care. 🚪 🚶
Rick: ...I’ll tell ya what I’ll give ya 20 grand an I ain’t going a penny more, I gotta make a livin’ here
Rick coming with the dad jokes level 1000.
”Let me get a friend down here.”
>calls scam artist
Rick will have this graded and made a small fortune on it
I love when rick reminded the seller that he found the bill and it cost him nothing.
So since it cost the seller nothing the seller should sell it to rick cheap!!!! Ricks always negotiating!!!!
The best part is chumlee used the bill in the soda machine 5 mins after this aired
Anthony Didomenico doubt it...it's a large size note. would not fit.
@@eyehatefarcebook11 it was sarcasm
Customer: *turns around*
Rick: *quickly folds the dollar*
Grader: it has a fold that’s not good
Rick: I’ll give you a hug
Customer: ok that will be good
Cory: ok come with me let’s do some paperwork
Now I’m trying to check out every book in the library trying to see if I get rich
He's a fighter basing myself on his ears and yet he's the nicest customer lol
I learn so much from watching this show
As soon as this so-called expert says “however” You know you’re about to get screwed.
I think rick already told peter that bryan asked for 1500$ and asked peter to tell it's retail price 1500$ and how could peter tell the same exact amount as bryan asked for??
Im actually considering this show is a scam. 20k to 1.5k and the "expert" doesn't wear gloves on a high grade bill.. nearly bends it himself..
its tv. it's all set up for entertainment
I'm in u.k and a mate of mine was sorting out charity shop books and found a old £50.
PaulioMaldinio Rick will give him 5 cents for it and he is taking a risk in doing that.
Rick always seems to have friends that just happen to be in town 🤔
Rick on phone with expert: tell him it's only worth 1500
Expert: could be worth 20 grand but since you already told rick you want 1500 this, this and that is wrong with it so its only worth 1500...😆
Alternate Universe :
Expert : Its has a centre fold so it must worth 50000 instead of 1000 .
I don't think Brain has ever held $10,000 before.
He has a friend for everything
Wow him handling it without gloves getting the oil from his hands all over it really tells you how careful he is in his job
You don’t use gloves with paper money
It’s not like gloves will prevent a tear
20k to 1100
You notice they always ask how much the customer wants before calling and tipping off the so called expert.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Expert: there is a center fold in the middle of the bill.
Rick buys it and then the expert comes back to say: Hey, I lied that there was a crease in it. You will definitely get $20k for it.
Wants to sell a piece of history...to get a hot tub. Welcome to America.
Rick: I have a friend.
Meaning: I keep people locked up in a closet and only let them out when I need them! But if they don't give a low price, THEN they get used for target practice!
00:57... more interesting than the conversation 😂
I was looking for a comment on that, lol that was nice😜
ALWAYS ... ALWAYS SOME EYE 👁 CANDY 🍭 AT SHOP..... LOVE IT!
Dan Vazquez thought I was the only one who noticed the background “models”
That expert is waiting around back too.
Makes me cringe when I see a so called professional handle delicate high value items this way. Even Cory offered him a tray.
The owner should've official graded it first, which puts it inside a sealed container, not walk into a shop saying I wanna sell. Could've easily got 10k for it.
They got that dudes hopes WAY up!
That seller is definitely into MMA. Look at those ears of his
Rick told him to say its worth 1500 😒😒😒 just so he wont have too pay the 20 grand 😡
Well that whole show in reality is fake
He still has that dollar bill. Walked in today😂😭
Jesus Rick must have a million friends he seems to know everyone
Good video
He is definitely a surfer he said gnarly and stocked
MMA Fighter
Get your hands off it!!!!
Anyone else notice his cauliflower ear??🤔
Johnny Canales he prob was a wrestler
It’s Bryan Caraway. He’s an MMA fighter, so...yeah.
They look like people making a honest living, if I had anything to sell like that I would do business with them. The day we live in it's hard to find this. My hats off to you.
Experts are in it for a percent for sure
Proof that Rick is way more honest than he is given credit for.
Hillbilly Trump not really. That dollar can easily be sold for 10k-20k but he bought it for 1100 because his “expert” said that little bend drops the price from 20k to 1.5k
Such BS
Shocking how he always has friends in town
See book on counter: Yes!! Rebecca is here!!
Open up the book: Awww.
Truth lol
4:17 to the left... mhhh... nice xD
Yeah I would have held on to it longer
Thats Bryan Carraway. UFC fighter
That's Brian Caraway, UFC Fighter. Former top 10 Lightweight.
If pawn stars was straight to the point and short like this then I'd probably watch it more on tv
Great con job
Cauliflower ear really popped out to me 😂
Cauliflower ears dude some sort of mma fighter
Guy is definitely a fighter.
Forget the bill, I would've got Rebecca in to appraise the book.
I'd walk and send it to get graded.
The pawn shop guy told his friend the man wanted 1500 so the man claimed it was only worth 1500 retail making sure they would buy it for less than 1500 but it was probably worth 10000
Definitely should have kept ahold of that.
These pawn guys are making a fortune
Rick: I can offer you $50 as I do have to get it graded. 😉🤣
so you are telling me now I can be smarter, look smarter and get money by just reading a book 😱😱
"So hearing that it could worth $10,000, I'm pretty stoked..." He must have never seen the show... Man, if I were this guy I would take it home and iron the heck out of it, it is only a slight crease. If it were a major crease then ironing wouldn't work, but because it is a slight crease you can make that thing disappear.
Used to buy old figurines for resale those small flaws can make something go for a fraction of mint. A pin Mark a slight Nick on the base it drops retail value ten fold or more. Just how the business runs.
I am 100% sure the buyer and his appraiser discussed 1500 on the phone and just agreed to explain it was worth only 1500 retail. They are ripping off people.
I bet that would grade in the nr mint 7-8 range. I bet its worth 4 times what he took
Rick: let me call a friend of mine who is an expert of calling a friend of mine.
