As for Candace, you can go 2p emblem 2p tenacity or something like that if you use her as a support... but why would anyone do that

It's really impressive how bad of a game designer one can be when looking at Dehya. They didn't just make bad design choices - they even made the objectively WRONG choice in making her not usable with her bestest bestie Candace (whom also suck but at least she's a 4-star). On top of that not a single POS at Hoyo will acknowledge they goofed up, say or do anything at all about it or share to their fans what their thoughts are. Just a big silent middle-finger to all of us.
Few things make me sadder than Dehya and Candace being so underpowered and oddly designed (gameplay-wise). Their character designs are both stunning and I would love to have a reason to use or chase constellations for Candace (I think mine is like c2). Part of me is always hoping I'll "fail" the 50/50 and get Dehya because I do want to use her.
I *NEED* to figure out a way to make Dehya, Candace and Beidou work on a team together...
i've used this team before, it's way easier tbh, you can just switch between overload and vape for each situation, there will alwways be a reaction going happening.

@@QuirrelSquad that's an interesting idea. I've actually used one of the new Fontaine sets to give her a big boost on her elemental skill and having been using that with sac gsword. It has been working fairly well but I'm sure it could get improved further.
Tip: Lynette swirls hydro first.
You can use Bennet E, swirl pyro with Lynette E for the vv res shred, then use Candace Q and E, burst with Lynette to keep swirling hydro, then use dehya
Since this build doesn't utilize dehya's burst much, you can also make dehya and candace wark flawslessly in a burgeon team, which on top of that requires less investment :> and will also have other sumeru characters like nahida/nilou to add even more RP to the great cause
Dehya has problems in a burgeon team, plus I think it is just less fun that big number ground pound dmg go lol (while also using her burst)

@@blackoctober9804 subjective, I myself have crowned lvl 90 thoma, and always requiring his burst to comfortably proc burgeons with his beefy ER requirements being solo pyro in the team, and sacrificing his shielding capabilities on top of that is not my cup of tea tbh, so I prefer Dehya

Yeah I really expected the team to work less well than expected. Not a super strong team, but one of the more fun ones to play for me at least

It seems like you actually got incredibly lucky in Dehya’s artifact domain! Could take some people years to get even one flower or goblet of any artifact type (nvr mind on-set for the flower) that good!
So good to see someone trying these two amazing characters. Sadly Hoyo doesn't want us to play them, even worst together. If only they had changed Dehya's burst to activate normal attacks triggers, she would be a whole different character.
I simply like to use the characters I like, so I build them instead of the meta way. I've been using Lynette (to farming friendship), Dehya, Candace, Rosaria in Fontaine. And it's doing pretty well.
-> I start with Rosaria's E + Q -> switch to Dehya's to E and basic atk -> then Candace's charged E + Q -> go for Lynette's E + Q -> and back to Rosaria for more basic attacks.
By the end of first rotation, you probably already have cd to do another skill rotation (since they're quick and Dehya has a second activation).
But I also use Sacrificial on Dehya, is the most useful choice in my opinion, you can have E all the time if you don't spam. Candace and Rosaria's skill are low cooldown and both works with Dehya's pyro infusion. Rosaria and Dehya also have the night and day walk faster passive. Lynette has a mobility skill as well, and she is that good anemo set that always help damage. I don't have problems with ER too, since most of them have low cd skills and Rosaria with Favonius it's chef kiss. Dehya can provide defense with her kit, but you might need to rely on foods, that's the only possible down side.

If you're building Dehya for a heavy skill reliant build, you could always build Dehya with the new artifact set coming out in Fontaine that heavily buffs skill damage. (Not sure if it'll be better than her max stacks set), but if you are unable to maintain max stacks it should be better (and it has the upside benefit of making her skill stronger off field)
what was hoyo really thinking to make dehya burst a single burst animation, while cyno has similar burst design but he can freely NA
it makes her burst hard to proc reaction which really frustrate me

I went a completely different route with Dehya as I looked at her kit when it was leaked (only character I wanted badly enough to see a leak) and my brain just clicked: I didn't see anything for optimal DPS. Not that she can't DPS but something told me it wasn't built for it. Then I saw the weapon's passive and the incoming artifacts for her and "click"; realized she was to tank damage for others while stunning enemies with her attacks and using her burst with added damage once her HP and stacks were built enough. Essentially; a tank-berzerker hybrid.
But still got her and use her on my team ever since she was released XP.
Paired her with Yelan, Eula and Ei... I know it doesn't optimize her but... they ironically compliment each other well;
Yelan for fast E attacks with bursts to lead up to Eula's basic attack plus her E and burst. Dehya's E to soak up damage for the team and deliver burst damage once more durable enemies are on the field and her base attacks to stun the bigger ones more easily... and Ei's coordinated E for electro application and energy regen for their bursts XP.
It's just a fun team XP.

it's so sad cause even with that build and all the effort to make her stronger, a Hu Tao charged attack is still significantly stronger. Hoyo really butchered our best girl

Like take Ayaka for example, her best support is Shenhe from Liyue who hasn’t even met Ayaka, and her best artifact is from Monstadt
As another dehya main who's spending too much resin I love to see this! My Candace isn't built yet so I can't test yet, but theoretically couldn't you make sure to swirl hydro in kazuha's burst for some reapplications before going to dehya and using your burst? I know you miss out on some pyro resistance shred, but im interested to try this.
I could do that, but hydro swirls dont do aoe damage (other swirled elements do), so realistically it would probably be a downgrade. If I want to make sure I see more consistent vapes on Dehya it could be worthwhile though. Particularly for Dehyas burst, I suppose. I hadnt considered using kazuhas burst for off field hydro during her burst

Sorry im late, i just found your video. Have you tried candice with the inazuma spear? It gives her an ult with two hits of her skill at R5 and gives her more EM.

When I get Dehya eventually I’m actually gonna build her purely physical - either 4-PC Shimenawa or 4-PC Gladiator
(depending on stats I’ll either use Redhorn or Gravestone, but Gravestone is most likely more useful)

She still kinda sucks, but she wont die

Finally someone else that knows the real problem with Deyha. My struggle is the same. I've spent months trying to make it work. BTW the Nymph Dream set is very very good on Candace, so that might open some windows for you. I also refuse to use XL.
I'm still on hopium that future updates and artifacts will make Candace absolute shredder lmao First I was loving Dori and was so disappointed when she actually came out. Then I fell in love with Candace and was again disappointed. I am afraid to like any character at this point
I wish Dori ult didnt have such an absurdly long cool down (and maybe longer range), but she's definitely more useable than Dehya at least lol

Or you can do what I do. Run Mega Tank Dehya with The Bell and Main Hydro DPS with HP/NA Focus Candace with Heart of Depth. This makes Candace a Vape Driver. Then throw Nahida on the team and you've just turned Candace into a Burgeon Driver. Throw Kokomi on the team to round it out for Hydro Resonance and you've just buffed both Dehya and Candace since they both scale off HP. So yeah, Main DPS Candace Burgeon Team, or as I like to call it: Wisdom's Wrath.
Full Transparency: C0 Dehya and C6 Candace. I don't currently run Vorukasha's Glow, but after seeing your Showcase, I might actually go farm it for Dehya.
Candace is currently my go-to Main Hydro DPS when I don't want to outright delete things with Ayato. But if something absolutely MUST die and I need Hydro, The Yashiro Commissioner makes his presence known.
A fun team I use is hyperburgeon. Sure there's better dendro teams, but it just overwhelms the enemies (and your screen) with numbers. Basically Nahida and kuki with their usual dendro team gear, Dehya in full EM with that wind festival weapon, and Candace there to apply hydro with her infused attacks, skill and her c6. With Dehya's slow coordinated attacks you can hyperbloom inbetween them where you get a mix of a lot of reactions. Damage is good enough, only issue is that smaller enemies get knocked the fuck around which can be annoying.

Took a lot of investment but they beat pretty much all content
I feel like Xingqiu would be a suitable replacement for Kazuha. His burst is really good for hydro application and he'd keep the healing up so Dehya has less opportunity to accidentally get pseudo one-shot. With 4-piece Nymph and high EM pieces and a hydro dmg cup, his infusion also does numbers. So where pyro falls short, the hydro dmg keeps up.
Though this setup kinda needs high ER for Xingqiu as well and is made much more efficient with the Sacrificial Sword, so it can be tricky to build. I might try this setup out though, I have C1 Dehya, C3 or 4 Candace, C4 Benny, and C1 Xingqiu.

It's funny how hoyoverse simply seems to don't want some related characters to work together: Kazuha and Gorou, Ayato and ayaka, Dehya and candace, Wanderer and nahida, Lyney and Lynette, Kaveh and Al Haitam. I might be missing some and i know there are some related characters that work together but it is really annoying that they keep doing this and i don't get why

I gues you should use dendro somehow to explode cores for the dehya artifat procs and some dmg. you may not be able to see big hit but far more hits i think. I do not have dehya but i play c6 diluc with yaoyao (ount as been hit) for his c2 to proc so it should work...

The atk sands I was using I got from abyss boxes, and getting it was the main thing that triggered my decision to farm the artifacts lol.
have you tried Dehya , candace and Nilou? candace for vaporize dehya E and Nilou for vaporize dehya ult + off field reverse vaporize from nilou. be cool if you showcase a nice rotation for them

As a fellow Dehya main i have been using her together with Candace since i got her. I use them together with Nahida and Raiden and it works relatively well.
Just got C1 Dehya from a 50/50 while rolling for C1 Wanderer & C6 Faruzan. At least I got 1 of them, but i have fun with Deyha so I don't count it as a loss.

One of the easy trick to "fix' dehya kit is by playing her in burgeon team. By using 4pc gilded/flower of paradise and sacrificial weapon(pre-C2) for 100% uptime skill, it's definitely more consistent in term of dmg and u just need the bare minimum of investment oh her and the team. Anyway, about ur second abyss team. Your sucrose barely swirl any electro cz u apply dendro first. ig u need to do more practice on the game mechanics

Yeah you can definitely spec Candace into more dmg this team. With C6 Candace it is actually probably stronger to do that lol

Great video! I've been using Dehya since release. I even leveled her talents to 9/9/9 to experiment with all kinds of team comps, until I eventually settled on full EM build for funny reaction damage teams (mostly Burgeon).
I don't have Candace yet, but I'll make sure to give this team a try as soon as I get her. Vape teams are not my favourite playstyle, but for Dehya I can experiment a bit more.
I just got Dehya and was looking around to see if she's worth leveling, the answer seems to be no which is a shame, because i'm still using all standard default characters and i'm desperate for a change.
Yeah, sadly Dehya is a character that enables very little and takes a lot to make feel good, but she can be useful in niche scenarios. For example, Neuvilette hyperbloom with Dehya as the flex slot give interruption resistance to him and enables occasional vape damage too
Can i see your other team's build?
If I recall, I used Fischl/Yae/Baizhu/Sucrose. Sucrose is on full EM VV with Wandering Evenstar (dont remember what refine, not R5 though), I think she has about 750 em. Baizhu is on a deepwood HP build, which is not relevant for that team, but I dont care to switch artifacts, and has about 46k HP with Prototype Amber. Fischl is on a skyward harp 2pc atk% 2pc electro%, something like 70:200 ratio (a strong Fischl build, for sure). Yae uses Kaguras and is my best built unit on 2pc EM 2pc atk%, 86:222 crit with a little under 2200 atk and about 150 em. Its a fairly single target focused Yae team, so it was a little more difficult to do the 1st chamber second half, but still more than capable.
It's definitely a strong and highly invested team, but not so strong that it made three starring with the Dehya team super easy. Both teams had relatively even clear times, but with the Dehya team being harder to get good clears on, of course. Will have to wait and see if a harder abyss cycle comes to test the limits of the Dehya team more

I have to tell you that i came back to the game after 2 years just because Dehya and Candance. Made a new acc and already got lucky with Dehya, just need to snipe Candance and i will be very happy. Bad or not i will play them even if i have to do physical
love seeing unique videos. In most gachas people just revolve around meta so seeing others willing to use who they love and make awkward and random teams work is great. A bit on the longer side but I can hear the love and enjoyment of the game so I understand and respect it. too bad it revolves around 3 months of farming :( wish artifacts were easier to work with!

If you want biggest number possible from skill yes, but this team does alternate rotations (optimally) between double skill and using Dehyas burst, so the burst dmg bonus and relevant 2pc effect on Vorukashas makes it better than the new one still. Plus it still functions in a normal mono pyro Dehya team, for example

For me personally, after hoyo "purposely" make dehya this bad because all of her skill wording feels like shit will so much limitation, i came to realize i'm thankful for that. I can play genshin with not much care anymore, i waited for months for her, end up all just waste. After beta leak on how bad her skill was, since then i never spent any $ in this game, and i feel much at ease because of that. And now since furina isn't that good(i hate her design), even daily isn't that important anymore lol. I guess leaving isn't that hard, even more harder to keep playing than leaving, donno i'm just mumbling, waiting for xiangling destroy 6.5 version abyss in the future because hoyo hate improving 😂

Yeah if I am trying to play the team fully optimally it is best to try to get a double swirl (for vv shred on both pyro and hydro). Infusing Kazuhas burst with hydro is not necessarily the best, but can make it easier to get vapes on Dehya.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate and point out that this only works because the team has Benny & Kazuha on it, two broken characters.
Almost all kinds of teams (outside Dendro and Freeze) will look good when you insert both of them.
So, can you make a Dehya team that can full-star the 12th floor without Benny & Kazuha? Now that would be really something.
I pointed out as much lol. The point is the fun of the team while also being competent, at the end of the day. That is all. There is literally no content in the game at this exact time (since abyss changes you can only evaluate with current cycles) that this team didnt work in, so it was as good as it needed to be, yes largely thanks to those two broken units. Personally, I dont care at all about trying to clear without Bennett and Kazuha, because I am going to do what is fun. I play the game to have fun, and I think OP units like Kazuha and Bennett shine best in making worse units like Dehya and Candace work, rather than shoving them into a already strong team to make them even stronger. The goal isn't to brag about my skills, the goal is to show how this games combat system does provide a creative framework to have fun in unconventional ways and it still works well enough to clear the content

Thanks for replying. I mostly played Dehya in a mono team, but will try working Candace in too.

Dehya only good for Burgeon teams with full EM build, her burst is only good for breaking elemental shields. I wish things would be different but it is what it is.
Dehya is kinda trash for burgeon lol, but yeah it works I guess. I just don’t think burgeon Dehya is a fun way to make use of her. Characters don’t need to be good to work.
The best part of Genshin is the creative freedom to have ideas like “alright, how can I make a team where Candace and Dehya work together and is fun.” Its not good relative to all of the absurd teams out there obviously, but why does that matter when I 36 starred anyways?
“Good” is relative, and only matters in context of whether or not you can clear content. This team isnt necessarily good enough to clear all abyss cycles by any means, but for how many people play genshin while largely ignoring abyss, this team is more than functional
@@Solunerra I actually get faster clears on Neuvillette/Nahida/EM Dehya burgeon team instead of Neuv/Nahida/EM Raiden Hypebloom team cuz you often get x3 vapes instead of x2 due to lots of EM buffs and that's a lot on already high dmg Neuvillette.
It's a real thing, you can break electro horse with this team super fast too.
Dehya is kinda like Kokomi in a sense that 80% of her kit, constellations and 5 star weapon are useless/misleading or "sub optimal". Yes you can run Deyha and Kokomi as main dps as their kit suggest, it looks nice but is it good? No... As long you can get all 36 stars it doesn't matter, I'm just Saying that Neuvi/Nahida/Dehya is a top tier team even if it'll be impossible without Neuvi and Nahida but at least she have her place in the game where she is actually good even if she is not the main dps people hoped for.
At least you do find them fun. For Dehya I understand but so many people have said how they don’t find Candace fun and idk I’m having a blast with her. Like maybe her skill makes it a bit slow or whatever but I genuinely enjoy her overall
Yeah, I've used Candace a lot since her release and she's great. Most of that time is with C6--my experience with pre-c6 Candace is much less positive. She feels designed to have C6, which is unfortunate. But at least not necessary for Dehya lol
@@Solunerra *Cries in C5 Candace* I did everything I could to have that last con I even paid for primos for the first time 😭 but well at least I got Kaveh and Fischl to c6 in that banner which I also love a lot. Just hope her last con isnt that far away but yeah I have fun even without it lol

the saddest thing about Dehya's own artifact set is that the new Fontaine set is better to do Dehya skill vape...
For the highest skill dmg specifically yes, but this team alternates rotations using skill and burst for Dehya, so her artifacts are still uniquely the best in this team. In general though yeah her artifacts are not great since emblem is very good and Dehya is energy hungry. The new crit rate artifacts could actually be a very interesting option on her as well, though.

I did, it is fairly normal for him so I dont care that much lol, I have him on 30% crit rate and over 150% cdmg so he gets so big numbers occasionally

Actually Dehya can run the bell since the substat is hp and dehya can benefit from it. More importantly The bell can absorb damage for Dehya even if Dehya is off-field so Dehya wont kill herself easily.
Lol, good luck doing any damage with Dehya on the bell. Dont let me stop you from building Dehya however you feel, but the goal of the video was to make Dehya deal damage together with Candace, not to make sure she never died
