Any long format videos in the process? I enjoyed them as a supplement to the actual pubs but the last long format was fm3 a year ago. I like using the videos, the lighting press smartbooks and the actual source material. 2nd question: Any chance of doing something like the smartbooks but in video format? Jw thanks for your hard work in these videos.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes - we just did a long format video on the new ADP 3-13, Information. You should see it at the top of our page. We're working on something new we call "Take 10" which will provide an overview of a single publication in roughly 10-minutes. It'll kind of be what you're describing as a video smartbook. If there's any knowledge gaps you're seeing from your foxhole that you'd like us to cover in the video shorts, let us know. We're always happy to get feedback.

FM 7-0 removed Unit Training Plans, and the new ADP left it out as well. Where is that material to be found? Leaving UTP out is a mistake, and it needs to be addressed.

We're talking to CAC-Training (the authors of ADP 7-0 and FM 7-0) about the UTP issue. We're awaiting a response.

The Unit Training Plan model has been replaced with the Training Management Cycle concept. The details for developing training plans and issuing annual training guidance are in Chapter 4: Training Management of ADP 7-0 and Chapter 3: Planning and Preparation of FM 7-0. However, as you’ve noted, the steps and terminology are different from the old Unit Training Plan. The new manuals focus on building Long-, Mid-, and Short-Range Training Plans, whereas the older manuals focused primarily on “Objective-T”. Thank you for the feedback on the manual. We have forwarded, your concerns to the doctrine authors who will certainly take your comments into consideration for future updates. If you’d like to send us a direct message with your email, we can also put you directly in touch with the authors for further discussion.
