Excellent... clear and concise. I did find that the 1/8" pin punch was too large diameter and using a 3/32" is correct size.

Great video I appreciate your time doing this for your customers one minor issue that it's hard to see with the camera angles is how you have to take the spring in the back of the firearm under the dust cover and rotate the spring retainer to the 6:00 position it's very hard to see you might want to change the camera angle to get that a little better shot of that process

I've purchased 3 Savage guns in the last 30 days. The a17 was the biggest letdown of any gun I've ever bought. After the first three shots the bolt kept slamming the rotary magazine. After I got the gun home I noticed from underneath where the magazine goes in there's a little metal rod coming out so I pushed it back in now the magazine goes in just fine and it Cycles just fine but now the both won't come out. I am very good with guns and I know what I'm doing. I think I got a lemon, it's going back to Scheels tomorrow

@@SavageAccuracy I couldn't get anywhere with your service team so I returned it to Scheels only to get a gun in worse condition! It looks like there's calcium buildup all over the inside of the action. I don't know what kind of guns are sending out of that factory but it's unacceptable! I will be returning this gun today again just like the last gun I purchased.

The A17 and A22 rifles CAN NOT be cleaned from the breach with a cleaning rod ( MAJOR DESIGN FLAW, designers became lazy when designing the rear plastic cover and metal tab protruding upward from the receiver to hold the cover from moving back ) if you use a cleaning rod it will have to be cleaned form the muzzle and risk damaging the crown AND LOSE ACCURACY.
You will have to use a bore snake to clean the bore from the breach.
Savage please design and sell a muzzle guide for USING a cleaning rod for the A17 AND A22.

This is the worst most unreliable gun I've ever bought.I thought I finally got it to shoot good and then the next time out it jammed at least 2 shots out of every mag.I had at least 20 jams last time out.The bullet only went half way out of the mag and jammed the action open but the firing pin still clicked when I pulled the trigger.I'm going to buy a Tikka bolt action and sell this lemon and never look back.I've only had 2 visits to the range where it didn't jam and wouldn't take this junk hunting because you can't count on it to work.

I had alot of problems with mine also. Failing to feed next round, not fully ejecting the casing, firing pin hitting soft, dented casings and some casings even split open. I sent mine off to savage and still having the same issues when I got it back. They sent me a few spent casings from when they supposedly shot it. Never got a clear answer what was done to the rifle. Just showed repairs were done on the sheet. When I called to send it back I found out it only cycles certain rounds. CCI 20 grain, Hornady 20 grain and CCI A17 ammo. It won't cycle 17 grain ammo. I tried the ammo they recommended and still couldn't make it through a 10 rd magazine without 5 or 6 issues. I was ready to sell or smash it I was that pissed with dealing with it. As a last resort I ended up buying a Butler creek 25 rd magazine and some oil a local gun shop recommended. Have probably ran 150+ rounds through it with no issues. Maybe one day when ammo is back available I plan on trying more.

Except if you have to clean the bore you have to clean from the muzzle end of the riffle. A traditional cleaning rod will not go down the bore from the rear of the firearm. The barrel is angled upwards to allow for proper feeding of the cartridge. The down side is, it puts it in. An angle that won't allow a cleaning rod to enter strait into the barrel. Thus rubbing on the upper side of the barrel eroding you chamber away. The only downfall to this rifle.
