Again astronomical clock... I realised that if you stare long enough at it you will see Janek and Honza somewhere nearby :D
Petition: more screentime for Honza!
Hamza is my favorite.
He's the pretty face ☺️

Love the tattoos!
@@garrysekelli6776 You just converted him into an Arab. :)
Potatos are finally getting the recognition they deserve!
Please make a video about how accessible (or inaccessible) Praha is for someone who is a wheelchair user. Love your content, stay awesome!
Praha isn't great for wheelchairs unfortunately as there are lots of cobbled streets and historic buildings that have steps and narrow doorways. That said, I have taken my mother in her wheelchair three times and everywhere we went people have been so helpful and accommodating.
Valerie from Real Prague Guides did a video for you, check it out. 😃
@@dgibelli Thank you for the suggestion! :)
Great suggestion 👍👌
Openstreetmap/wheelmap is pretty much up to date, so that should be accurate at least.
Most of the tram network isnt really wheelchair accessible, either the platforms are too small to roll on it or there are older trams around that have no lowered section that is easily accessible.
Some Metro stations have Lifts, but certainly not all...
Brambory is not entirely new place, it is actually there for quite some time, but their potatoes are still great. But if you are there during week I strongly recommend to make prior reservation. Otherwise you can get stuck in a queue as it's just overcrowded by people who work in the buildings nearby
exactly what I was thinking... definitly not a new place but it's amazing and I can only recommend making trip from city center there... it's within 10m from city center by metro
Funny is there is Vypečená matka café and before there were Café Betlém and it was the best café in Prague. It's a pity how it's now closed and I remember how I served coffee there to Janek as well. 😄 And tourists loved us because we did great coffee and food without big prices. Sorry I have to write it here, I miss these days so much. 😄 Of course Vypečená Matka has amazing cakes, unless I do not like their coffee that much I have to return for their sweets. 🤤
Is it odd that I am now planning a trip to Prague just for potatoes?
😆
No. Czech food is awesome and one of the many reasons I can't wait to return to Prague
Not at all, Brambory is now at the top of my list, when I return to Prague. 🥔😋
I'm going there this Friday. Looking forward to baby good potatoes
If you go before youtube dies, tell us about it!
@@onlyeveryone2253 cool! I’m heading there Friday too. I’ll be visiting Brambora too!
2:34 I Saw This New Fountain Yesterday Because I Went To Prague For Weekend Now I Came Back Few Hours Ago
Honza: "We've got to have cake."
Janek: "Why?"
Honza: "mrphlrg""we just do, shut up."
I have been in prague last week for 5 days.
I can't explain in the words how much this city is beautiful and clean also the people very helpful and friendly there.
Regarding the food it's another thing , the correct worrd is not only delicious but fantastic.
I watched all your videos and we visited all the places in public transport.
This was one of my best trips ever in my life.
In Prague you feel peace, love and security and you can't forget it after you leave, but it stays in your imagination foreve
Thank you for all the advice you gave and explained in all the videos.
Everyone who will visit Prague must try the Czech cousins, they are very tasty and suit all tastes because of their diversity
I’m heading to Prague in 2 days. I’m excited to visit the cool places and eateries you guys recommended. I’m exited to visit your beautiful city. Let’s go!
And how was it?
One of the great things I love about Praha is that there's so many great places to go that are often just a few steps away from the main tourist spots - so many folk just do the obvious things & miss out on the best bits.
As an Irishman the potato place really appeals to me. I'll have to revisit Prague!
Yes, actually Brambory means the "Potato Famine" is officially over now......🤪
I absolutely LOVE your videos - even though getting to Prague is still a dream! I would really *LOVE* to see videos of more *non-tourist* things too - like shopping for food with the locals at normal grocery stores and markets. Where do locals buy clothes, petrol, post offices, wine and beer to have at home, bread, fresh meat - all the normal flotsam and jetsam of life?! Hugs from Australia!!
Wine and beer are sold in all grocery stores where you get the best price
I will be next Week in Prauge so thank you for this and also for all These years :)
Fat Cat is an amazing place! Cheap beer
@@Sibbergaming I dont drink alkohol.
@@Sibbergaming : I do and will be in Prague in two weeks. Thanks for the tip.
Honest Guide: can you do a show on how to get basics - dry home goods and groceries? Like if you're there for a few days, weeks, months, year? Like a hairdryer, towels, underwear, socks, tshirts, toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, foldable clothes dryer rack, clothes hamper, etc? Kitchen basics, even thrift / used good / second hand stores.
Basically, what and where are the Walmarts, Targets, Dollar Stores, Walgreens / CVS pharmacies, Aldi grocery, etc - those types of stores of Prague especially around and near the downtown main city center area? Basic necessities shopping.
What a way to make a living! Sweets, coffee, beer! Living the boujee life!
A detailed map for the incompetent tourist would be great. Perhaps you could merchandise it. "Janek's and Honza's guide to Prague's culinary paradise".... I'd buy it!
VOTE 1 for JANEK and HONZA as Czech tourism Ministers!!! 🎉🎆🎉👍👍😆😆😆
I absolutely loved this episode!! Brilliant!!
I knew a Czech girl named Barbora - sounds like Brambora.
yeah some people make fun of it sometimes
Is a typical Czech name, which stands for Barbara in countries like Italy or UK.
The potato place looks absolutely delicious
Wow, every place you went too looked delicious! When you go to restaurants or cafe's it would be nice if you could give some idea of what their pricing is ($, $$, $$$ or whatever currency of your choice).
Janek-Nice Store!!! Those chocolates look good.
This episode spiked my blood sugar :D Amazing, as always!
Wonderful video!
Janacek (not the same spelling as the chocolatier I know) is a favorite composer.
I really love Janek's delivery, energy, and courage (facing down scammers). But it was nice to see a little more of Honza in this video. You're both adorable!
Janacek is Moravian's composer. He never liked Prague .
@@filipcinnamon5025 Okay, he was CZECH. His opera libretti are written in CZECH! The last time I checked, Prague was part of the CZECH REPUBLIC/CZECHIA.
What have his feelings about one city in CZECHIA have to do with that?
The last time I checked, Moravia was part of CZECHIA. The language still seems to be CZECH.
Janek and Honza have done videos in Moravia, which is part of CZECHIA!
So, what point are you trying to make.
I love how in very old cities, old buildings are preserved and repurposed. I absolutely hate seeing old buildings being pulled down!
'Brambory' in itself is a FAB word!
As with everyone here, I too love all your vlogs!
Why can't Sept 2024 be here already!!! Can't wait for my trip to Prague.
Dziękujemy.
Nailed it again, just amazing you two.
I can't get enough of your videos .love them
Aha Pankrac! Thanks guys, have been around the mall couple of times, but have not seen the Potatoes opened yet! I will definietaly try them!
Also if you are around Pankrac, at Vysehrad station there is a quite decent Asian place YamYam with the good view from viadukt, at Budejovicka: Jacob's Street food, only a small place but better burget than nearby in the luxury place Dock House and Botanic, altough Botanic also has some nice stuff, and there is a bagel place nearby forgot the name.. Not sure if its worth to come for them from city center but hey if you around check them out, also Brumlovka has Flaps Coffee and Dian. Though the area is pretty suburban-ish here not many thing to specificly see, maybe Hostivar is not so far away thats a plus and Brumlovka office place looks decent. Not as new as Karlin but at least floodfree. ;)
Very tempting and encouraging features offered in Prag, keep up the skillfull work revealng the appealing sites, wish I could visit them all
Wonderful video again, thank you so much👍🙏
Svižný díl, dobrý 🙂🙂
Fantastic episode !
I love how old buildings get reused. Also any plans with coffee & Artwork 💯❤
I have discover the channel today, I have seen almost all the videos, amazing job guys, thanks for your amazing job!!!!!
I had a nice trip in Prague, thank you for your suggestions
Looks good! Great places
Brambory is a TOP spot! Found it a month ago and I absolutely love it!
one suggestion, when promoting a restaurant/coffee place, let us know about the price of the items that you're having. most of them, after they get famous, they increase their prices and this way we could realize it.
they all have web sites
@@salerio61 hello Martin. That's not what I meant. The aim was to attract the attentions to the fact that most places take advantage of this free opportunity to deceive people later.
@@mahyarsh87 I'm local and I have never heard about any of the places and just googled several and they are definitely way too expensive even right now so maybe they are hoping to attract tourists.
3:34 I would have loved to see some price examples from this place.
I just checked their website, and one piece of the pastry ("věneček") costs 1,4 EUR (if you buy box of these pastries for a take away, its cheaper). Coffee is at 2,2 EUR.
@@zezimadidnothingwrong thank you. Not as expensive as i thought it would be 🙂
@@Temptation666 It is way too expensive if you are local.
@@qwe5qwe566 to expensive for me too and i am not local. But still not as expensive as i thought it would have been
I can’t wait to try all your suggestions, I’ll be there for 2 weeks in September 😋
All these places look delicious 😮❤❤❤
Back In Prague at the end of September, need to try these places especially Brambory! Can't wait to get back!
Rolled ice cream originated in Thailand, but it is good that it is catching on elsewhere and every place puts its own spin on it with local favorite flavors.
Also! Love the potato
Just met you today on the bridge love your videos and your best recommendation was to go to the passage with Pedro's and the canteen
The potato restaurant looks like such a joy.
My favourite place in Prague 8years ago was Praha Bakehouse. The potato omelette for breakfast was sensational! I hope they are still operating 😊
Finally we seen Honzaaa 😍
I’ll be there next month! 🤞🏻
Awesome TY for great info. Hoping to visit again and explore the passages and more bakeries and sweets. Can you share poppy seed fields pics?
Very useful, esoecially as I am back in Prague for 10 days in September 😁
Can you please make a guide for new students? Moving there in a week and can't wait! And thank you for your tips for what to see in the city! 😊
I really like your work guys! Would like to see similar videos for Bratislava. Keep up!
Delicious 😋!
At Brambury right now. Thanks for the recommendation. Love Prague!
Oh man! So good. Really appreciate the recommendation.
Hello Janek ,come to OSTRAVA and make a Honest guide's video there.
Was that an ice cream potato? Looks yummy. Being from Idaho we love our ice cream potatoes 🥔
When you talk about a place you should refer to the country too. We do not care if you are usaian and expect everybody to know your shitty ass state or city.
@@putalaweaconchatumare haha. I get where you are coming from, but Americans that do this aren't necessarily being haughty. They don't realize what they are doing and it might be the result of things that aren't necessarily in their power since the US has its own propaganda and poor school system.
But yes, not everyone is familiar with the US and its states so it helps to treat it like any other country when you introduce something from it.
Idaho is a state in the US that grows a lot of potatoes. It is such a point of pride that the license plate says "Famous Potatoes," I believe.
Hanza’s arms tattoos look really cool!
Ate here yesterday for early lunch! :) had the roast beef with beef tallow fried french fires !
Salivating 5000 miles away!
Lol @ 1:26 in the video. Guess that cake had some beans in it.
Sweet!
Love your vids guys!! Can you show us some famous (and not so famous) waterfalls in the area??
Thanks for your great videos!! You have super-enhanced both my interest in coming to, and my enjoyment of, Prague. But - how could you have waited until the end of my stay here to post about Janek Chocolate!! ;) So many chocolates, so little time. p.s. Were you just up the street from Janek Chocolates today (Aug 31)? Could have sworn it was you. Thanks again for all your great videos!!!
Chuchle 2022!
Brambory were checked yesterday. I can recommend it, all was tasty😋
There's a street called Pštrosova ! That made me laugh, Ostrich Street. 😄
5:23 A good vet could bring that cow back to life.
I wish you had done the Wenceslas dance on the square 🎅🏻
I’ve never cared about Prague, I’ve always loved Brno much more as it doesn’t feel like one big tourist trap, but this video tickles my sweet tooth so I will reconsider my opinion on Prague 😅
I'd like to add one place to this video, it is called Potrefena Husa. When I was in Prague I went there, it was really nice, portion sizes were pretty good, prices were not the lowest, but I'd say that they were ok and the staff was very nice. It is located on 1 Narodni trida 364/39. Nearby there also is a Lego museum, which I also visited and I recommend both of these places to others.
I love these videos, hope we meet in weekend when i came here first time! :) i will came to watch eurobasket tournament!
Hey Janek and Honza!!
Thanks for the nice videos 😄🙏
I have been to Prague several times and watched a lot on your channel.
I cant seem to find a video about tipping culture in Prague. How much do you tip your bartender, restaurant, hair cut, cab driver and so on. I would really like to watch it before my next visit.
And have you tried Portfolio restaurant? It is my absolute favorite and i go there every time in Prague. I would like your review very much. 🙏😄
Greetings from Denmark :-)
Shame on YOU WHY DIDN’T YOU UPLOAD THIS VIDEO LAST WEEK I WAS IN PRAGUE (love your vids)
you guys should explore the pankrac area more. i work there and there are a lot of really good/fancy places there
The potato place omg
I really don't like sweet food BUT that Ice cream LOOKS FANTASTIC!!🇬🇧👍
Found this channel when preparing for a Czech trip, its super helpful. On top of that Honza has good taste in watches Explorer 2?
Been in Prague this whole summer exploring new places, these are definitely going to my list! It’s a really long list already but the potato place is something else, that needs to be tried! 😆
nice
Going to prague end of October, Brambory is now on my list. Bur what was that dessert you had?
where can I find a backpack like the blue one you have? It seems waterproof
I watched a video on that rolled ice cream a few months ago. Looked really good but I dont think they have it I the states just yet but I'd give it some time and I'm sure it will appear.
I would lose myself in Brambory. Spud heaven.
Loved your video , wished if you could mention the prices
Potatoes are the most a versatile, they can be just a side dish or the star of the dish.
Haha Honza te Vole
Do you guys have advice for good parties (which are not tourist traps) during New Year's?
Could you do a video on the best places for wifi etc? Maybe a nice pub where you can get some time to relax with some good wifi in a cafe etc.? I am always wanting some rest time when exploring and some time on the computer putting my photos and videos into the computer.
3:24 Did you find a ring ? (American Pie)
WOW , I have never ever seen spagetti running through hotdogs.
I would pay BIG money for that.
You have to open up your own stand selling this, you can also call it "traditional" spagetti in hotdog.
0:15 I'm guessing "vypečená matka" means "a mother who cooks a lot", right? Usually the prefix "vy-" indicates the perfective aspect, but "well baked mother" wouldn't make sense here (now I'm just wondering if there's some kind of Czech horror movie/story that plays on that double meaning).
3:39 One more trivia: "věneček" (or "cruller" in English) literally means "little garland", because of the circular shape of the pastry (like a garland). Also, doesn't "Janeček" mean "little Janek"? Is that another place Janek "owns"? 😂
Vypečený means well baked, but also smart and can be used as deceived or tricked too.
@@Valkoinen_Kuolema I see. Thanks for the reply!
Hi there, we are in Prague now and I am amazing our party and all the great places that you have are recommended and knowledge including air condition trams and great places to eat. I’m not basis we are looking for a great place for an open sandwich today do you have any recommendations. Thank you in advance Tony from the UK
😍
I saw a video about street food in Poland before visiting there one year ago, and I hoped to find the rolled ice cream. But I didn't find it. So I have yet to try it. I assume the texture is different, but I imagine the flavor is all there. But that's all just speculation.
5:08 I actually went to a place before Janek and Honza?!
Saw and enjoyed the video. I understand that this is not a food Vlog but at 5:13 I was excited to see a nice spread of several dishes on the table. I was hoping that you will try them one by one and tell us how they taste like etc but alas it did not happen. ( I uderstand that you wanna keep the video short, but it takes only 5 sec for each dish) This investment will pay off as you will increase your viewers base.
The Czech word for potato can be both masculine ("brambor") and feminine ("brambora") based on whether you are a botanist (who says "brambor") or a consumer (who says "brambora").
Thanks! I’m trying to learn czech. Now I give up all hope!! 🤣😢
I say "with potatoes" as "s bramborem" instead of "s bramborami" it just sounds better idk.
man i remember you lol i watched your czech lessons in the past
