Hey thanks for having us! The panel is UV Printed in house so it won't peel up like a vinyl sticker would! And for all the DIYers out there we do just offer the case to build your own system in! Thanks again!
I'm out here trying to figure out how to make my own fancy panels and Ironside is out here releasing trade secrets. Appreciate you guys.
@G Money nothing its just a glorified sticker lol
Sounds like you guys have got this figured out and actually understand the difference between enthusiasts and normal people that want a mad pc
bruh what does shipping to the EU cost? if it's only the case?
lord of the rings. GONDOR VIBES.
I feel like if that side panel were actually genuine stained glass, it would add an extra like 1,000$ to the price.
Pretty soon no one will be able to make stained glass
@@lasthopelost9090 why?
@@lasthopelost9090 what are you talking about
For real. It’d be WAY more work to handcraft a stained glass side panel than it is to build that whole PC. The cost would probably go up by even more than that
@@brunoglopes Yeah. Stained glass is very heavy and fragile. you would never get it shipped safely. And I agree it would be very expensive. Each piece of glass has to be hand cut, hand beveled and then tinned/soldered together. much like those really cool tile mosaics you see.
Their CEO better be named Michael.
And like every other ceo, take millions in raises while firing and treating your employees like shit. Fuck republicans...i mean nazi's
Worse, Linus
Yeah, like that or Jeff or something.
Man, imagine if their name was plouffe
Gonna need Sam and Dean to deal with it then if so.
Would've been great if you guys showed what it looked like in the dark. I imagine that aesthetic was designed to stand out in a dark room.
Good to see that Ironside has QC testing *and* validation of the QC testing. GamersNexus showed us with Skytech that QC testing only works when you actually validate that the results are within expectations lol. Seeing that they did QC and then took action to replace parts when QC validation failed and even documented it for the customer to see is really impressive. Props to Ironside.
On one hand, yes it is good that they did that, but on the other hand they knew it was a PC going to LMG, so I wouldnt be judging their QC process based on this experience, as it no doubt had significantly more attention than a regular PC
I honestly would have preferred if they cut that kind of discussion from the video/script if they know its not an anonymous purchase, as its a somewhat misleading scenario
@@Estarvia well perhaps it was done as an anonymous purchase? But they don't go into detail about the purchase process so we have no way of knowing either way :(
@@poodlemeister22314 they sent them shirts with the computer. lol ironside definitely knew.
You know that could absolutely change lol, just like any company.
@@CRneu I mean origin does shit like that too
12:24 "I'm not Norse, I've never been to Denmark"
I like how the qualifier is with the southernmost Nordic country lol
and the flattest one
@@andreaskvisler And the best one ;)
But if you think about it, for "qualifiers", doesn't it then make sense to say, hey it has to be at least Denmark or it isn't norse!
And the only one without fjords 🤣🤣
I literally face palmed lol
The glass was printed on a UV Flatbed printer. Actually have done a stained glass made out of wood and individual glass pieces. There is probably a local print shop where you can take your side glass and have something like or basically anything else printed, should not cost too much. Also yes it prints white.
@G Money i used to work for them its usually got to be cost effective and able to be produced in enough amounts within a time frame they follow
@G Money i mean technically they are like within a margin of error i guess to put it of other computer builders we had a chart when we worked there at the time comparing pricing of the same spec pcs from other companys and ironside was slightly cheaper but i mean all prebuilt gaming rigs are going to be marked up
How dare they make money at their business. What scum! /s
are we not going to talk about how the glass panel was reinstalled backwards at 10:20?😂
My exact thoughts. Literally less vibrant on that side. Would of loved to see it installed correctly.
@@ChuckPappas I think that's only because it was a white background out of the box, the a black background once the foam was out. Seeing how its a clear vinyl sticker, I doubt orientation is going to matter much in how vibrant the colours are. Also on their own website, they have pictures of it both ways.
@@bunbunn404 at 10:22 you can clearly see when he holds the panel that other side have more colour , so yes he installed it backwards
@@bunbunn404 nah its backwards bro. go to 4:40 u can see how much brighter & less matte it is before he flips it.
I came here to say this. Glad it wasn’t just me
That logo is how you draw a hammer without it looking inappropriate
So next step is a video of a DIY stained glass case panel?
People have been doing it a long, long time. 2007- www.wired.com/2007/02/stainedglass-pc/ 2013- i.imgur.com/IXI1Dmi.jpg
they have a CNC, watching this video I'm kinda tempted to use mine to make a glass side now.
(for anyone thinking about it get a set of diamond coated steel burrs but avoid stainless if you can it work hardens and snaps. hold you glass down with a wax Arbor (or superglue, I'm not your supervisor) then build a dam out of plasticine around your part, put a few mm of water over the cut and it'll come out ok. if you're feeling fancy you can also get glass water jet cut. probably cheaper and much faster, my feed rate was like 10mm/minute but I hadn't pushed that much at all)
Don't clean this one with a dirty ass cloth Mr Plouffe! 😄
Keep up the awesome work, you rock! 😛👍
Props for the QC process.
This wasn't an anonymous purchase though, so take that with a grain of salt.
So nobody is gonna question how he placed the glass panel the wrong way when he put it back on. It was gloss when he first showed it and then it was matt putting it on
Hey your tips and insights were so helpful with some of my reference knowledge i misinterpreted, thanks alot man!
Looked a bit more colorful before you turned the panel around lol.
Edit: It's even backwards in the thumbnail! Jesus guys come on.
Was wondering what seemed so off about it at the end.
Right? how does nobody notice it? there's clearly several people in the studio filming it, and nobody tells him "dude you flipped it and put it on inside out" ?
Imagine hosting the video that is basically just a sponsored ad for a case with "painted" side panel, your only job is to showcase the panel and you manage to mess up even such a simple thing..
I swear these "new" hosts/writers will be the demise of LTT, the quality has decreased so much in the past months
I've been watching LTT for so much of my life, I appreciate how all the employees are just whole hearted lovely people and passionate about technology, please stay fluffy and happy everyone!
Loved the format of the overview in this video. It was fun and informative. I would have loved to have seen some low light shots of the PC showing the RGB through the panel and how the lighting lights up the internals of the system.
Ironside is legit. They have a computer called Nightfall and it is just so minimal and amazing :)
So nobody is gonna say how much that icon looks like a regular hammer? And not something else at all?
[deep fried Asmongold noises] lmao
Totally looks like a hammer and not other thing that could be assembled form the same shape configuration
I mean, if you’re gonna get something that expensive, I would imagine that you would have enough money to get the top tier graphics card. Still, it definitely looks nice.
Why still using 4 screws though? Tempered glass nowadays use hinges. My 5 year old Phanteks p400s use screws, it came out 1 year before I bought it.
You can also buy the case by itself
@@fynkozari9271 hinges are a point of failure
@@TheNpcNoob So are screws if people drop the side panels...
At that form factor? I wouldn't
i spent 3 days building my system, plus another two or so sourcing parts. its fun to do, saved some money. custom loop with custom cables, wall mount.
stained glass is held together with solder, and can be extremely heavy in comparison to plastic. . In the long run, you end up with a broken glass pane almost no matter what
I literally just bought this case by itself to build in it, what a perfect reference video!
You had me excited about that computer too! It's a really nice rig I can't think of anyone who wouldn't take a 5800x3d and a 3080 it's really nice. Ironside killed it on this build.
Haha lovely editing on the suspected speaking blunder :) GJ editor :) takes me back to my childhood seeing that rewind effect
Definitely getting this case for my next "norse" themed build
I love Ironside been rocking a pc from there for about 4-5 years now maybe
I'd say fragility and the low melting point of the lead that holds the multiple panes of glass together would be the biggest issues for a real stained glass side panel but also labour wise it would probably cost more than the pc in it (we replaced one in our house and a roughly 2'x4' window was just shy of £4000.00 GBP!) prices ramp up massively with the complexity of the image
Had an amazing experience with Ironside. Would reccomend 👍
one solution that stores here in Brazil have is that when you buy a pre built system they send the GPU not installed so you have to put it on yourself and they send some instructions on how to do it if you don't know, but the foam imo should be adopted everywhere even with it sticking to some things sometimes, but it's still a more secure way of shipping a pre built system
Checklist for pc build 👍 sweet!
Leaded and copper stained glass are both soldered. Leaded is soldered at the ends of each joint and copper is soldered around the entire edge of each piece of glass. Copper would be a good replacement if you wanted to put in the real thing. All the pieces are soldered, full edge to edge so it would hold up on its own.
But leaded tastes better
@@andrewmorris483 It does, but it is on the chonky side and will not replace the side panel as well as the original. Lead is also easier for beginners to assemble and repair if broken.
Its a real shame that you didn't do some broll in a dark room to see how the lights interacted with the vinyl stained glass colors
So true.
@ShortCircuit correction for you guys. its actually an msi motherboard. :) with msi antenas. the asus board orginaly didnt work.
I really like that case. Makes me wonder about stickers for my 400d side panel
That packaging is made to disolve in water so just grab a bag and fill it then pour into a sink slowly as they need a bit of aggitation
Thats pretty small thing but I really like that they put their background and website as homepage. Makes me feel like they are really making an effort.
Thanks for watching, hit me up ☝️☝️ to claim you gift
Just stumbleD on this unmade bed. Thanks for telling us what a system integrator is.
Great video as always guys. Quick feedback I want to share is maybe using Nerdforge built custom case as a t-shirt stand is not the best idea. I think it casts a shadow on how much that art piece was appreciated by LTT. Love what you do, have a great week!
LTT always treats their custom builds like shit after they've gotten content out of them, wouldn't be surprised if it had already been gutted and broken a few dozen times
We have the same kind of film at on front door. I'm thinking of putting it on my panel now
That power cable you refer to as a C13 - for some reason (probably kettle related), everyone I know refers to it as a 'jug plug'. Very pleasant to say!
I'd like to comission someone to try and make an actual stained glass side panel. Ironside has been around since forever so it's really awesome to see a SI still in business.
That looks very nice QC. For this video: I'd have loved to see the PC in the dark, and I think the panel might have been reinstalled backwards (iess vibrant).
I was so hoping you would fire up Valheim so you could have the world tree on the screen and on the case, that would be an epic machine to play Valheim on.
That PC was built to play Valheim
Nice Video again love you guys
stained glass is soldered together. i did a year of it as an elective in college, 10/10 would recommend.
This is certainly one of the best looking PCs that has ever been on LTT - if I had more money than sense and cared how my pc looked I might be tempted ^^
Really cool that they actually depict Niflheim and Muspelheim on the sides.
In the UK that C13 power cable gets called a "kettle lead". I have never seen an actual kettle use one of these, but I guess they did at some point.
IEC is the cable. C13 is the male connector at the end.
That whole video and you put the panel on backwards and never turn off the film lights to see how stained glass like it really looked.
Dude thank you guys so much I am such an idiot. I have just recently built my brand new PC this past weekend and its my first ever PC where the motherboard has built in WiFi (B650 Aorus Elite AX) and in the box there was that shark fin looking thing that I didn't know at the time was a WiFi extender. So these past couple days I've just been completely lost as to why my new PC has such slow internet compared to the rest of the house only to find out from this video that the shark fin looky thing is actually my WiFi extender that I'm supposed to install. Went from 2 bars on my WiFi to full 5. LMAO ty!
Nice tell me your experience lol.
Beautiful panel, would love to see more companies specializing in customizing panels. There's a lot of people out there willing to pay a little extra to not just have a default tempered glass panel.
Plouffe, those shirts were actually for me, but got delivered to the wrong address.....computer too actually. That box wasn't FROM Ironside, they were TO Ironside.
Bruh
@@Blaster_Unity_UB I know right. My name's pretty badass.
@@KevinIronside yup, maybe, idk
As an Australian a c13 is a kettle cable all old kettles used em so if ya forgot yours when taking ya PC somewhere always use to be a spare haha
As a German it is a Kaltgerätekabel. (= Cold device cable
same in the uk, although a kettle cable has a bigger fuse, 13A instead of 5A
Got my Black Lotus PC from them. Super cool looking pcs they make ❤
MOBO makers seem to be having issues with RGB support. I have a Gigabyte AeroG board, and I had to send it in 3 times, and then get 2 replacement boards from them to get the RGB working correctly.
It says MPG x570 gaming pro carbon Wifi on the board when you're looking at the m.2 slot :D
Which is the MSI board obviously
5800X3D is definitely the best you can get if you have an AM4 socket, but it was shown later in RTX 4090 reviews that with better GPU performance, Ryzen 7000 and especially Intel Raptor Lake take big wins against the 5800X3D when you have the GPU performance to match.
Exactly….
Last generation CPU
Last generation GPU
Last generation socket
Last generation RAM
Last generation OS
Lame.
@@codycast considering how mnny issues & overpriced current gen is for such ok performance gain... yeh no thanks i will take the "lame"
@@codycast you must buy via FOMO
@@whitekong316 uh I have a 1080ti with a 10 series (?) i7 CPU. I’m only commenting on a brand new $$$ computer. Should use newer tech.

@@codycast lol it was sarcasm I even thumbs up what you said.
Yeah I would definitely prefer it in black but the case looks really nice!
I like how that city PC in the background has already been relegated to makeshift shelf. Like it wasn't the hotness just a couple months ago.
4:39 As an owner of Corsair Crystal 570X, have no issues with glass or screws for a looong time.
that nerdforge pc is so sick
Would've like to see it with the studio lights turned off, but neat panel anyway!
A vertical mount RGB GPU could make some very interesting effects! A black case, black build with a "storm effect" lighting strips inside 🤔
About the yggdrasil in black thing: They also had a gothic version of that but it was some kind of limited edition.
3:40 Bless you Brandon!
They did have a Black version of the Yggdrasil, but it was a limited time only purchase
the holy grail of pc casing
The motherboard is indeed a MSI board. Looks like a MSI X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi to me, at least it looks pretty much identical to mine ;)
We just call C13 "Kettle Plug" cause it's used in 00's to early 10's kettles, though these days most kettles use a proprietary base, which is fair enough cause they're still cheap and many brands have replacements and long warranties.
I actually built a Zelda stained glass side panel with cnc cut acrylic glass and epoxy resin! :) @when geeks craft have some great videos on this method.
Never have I seen a pre-build I wanted to buy so much
I'd love to buy this as a case without the parts so i could built it myself here in Norway. It would look lovely at my desk.
I really wanted them to dim the lights so we could see it glow through
I have pretty much the highest version but built it myself. They are waaay more expensive. I haven't built in one go but upgraded over the years several times but overall my PC is worth about 2k, less than the tier below their highest offering.
the board in that machine: MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI 9:07
I wonder if you could order the side panel for a particular case done custom like that? I would love to have the Calvary scene in that stained glass effect on my PC.
Imagine working for LTT and being "uneasy" about undoing 4 screws.
I wish Plouffe had swapped the ram for RGB and that David and Belle had dimmed the studio lights for a minute.
It would have been too much to ask for an AIO swap for something with RGB. Maybe a follow up video?
The side panel is fantastic regardless.
This video is smalltalk that just keeps going.
It would be great if LTT started selling pseudo stained glass stickers for inside of pc side panels (I know it's not a sticker but it's close enough). I looked around and couldn't find anything on the market that would satisfy me design-wise(everything is made for kitchens or windows). But that yggdrasil design looks DOPE! Since i have no choice, I will probably try some arts&crafts after this, wish me luck :*
C13 = Kettle lead, because old kettles in the UK used the same socket/connector... Sold many of these in the past.
you should have shown it with the studio lights turned down to get the full effect
lol we call that three prong lead a kettle lead in the UK as old electric kettles used them.
Well, I know these PCs are cool, but you know the PC is going to come extra well done because it's for you. I want to see more PCs where they don't know it's you and we can see them for what they really are. Cause I doubt I'll get the same treatment you guys do for the money.
Stained glass is held together with lead strips that are soldered at the joints entirely by hand. It should have been obvious from the photos and the price you saw that they were using a film or decal. Still a very cool case though.
Ever since they did a custom for the diva of challenge runs Gamechamp, I've dreamt of commissioning Ironside for a custom, or just picking up one of their mass builts.
Really wanted a lights out shot... bummer. Guess I'll have to buy one...
The reason it's not real stained glass is a combination of price and weight. You have to solder in between all of the pieces so it wouldn't be a mosaic or it would be too heavy on one side. You could do it with larger pieces pretty easily but it would still be kind of expensive and fragile. The other issue is stained glass makers just aren't common although if anyone is in WI I know someone who could easily make you a cool stained glass side panel
Good luck finding any fjord in Denmark :P I wouldn't be surprised if they have building that is taller than their highest mountain (171 meters above the ocean)
the main reason nowadays for prebuilt is basically "refundability", building on your own , if something gets damaged it is usually your fault. but with a warranty, you can get your money back with prebuilts.
You're making me feel better about my recent 5800x3d purchase, after Anthony's video on the new Intels lol
Also I never really considered prebuilts before, but this seems really nice if I don't have time to build my own some day!
Need to show that in a dark room to really appreciate the side panel with the light behind it. With all the studio lights can't really see anything.
I love my 5800X3D, it pairs really well with the quiet and fast Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090. 32 gigs of 3600 ram and some 980 Pro NVMe drives? Fast and awesome!
Edit: That side panel makes me wonder if there are any LCD side panels, maybe ones without backlighting so RGB can light it? I can just imagine an animated screen panel but lit by the RGB in the computer ... might be neat.
See i get that C13 makes mcuh more sense... But that connector will always be a Kaltgerätestecker (ger. = Cold devices plug)
NerdForge bout to get on that stained glass build on the quick, watch..
The stained glass is beautiful. I'd consider it if I didn't have a nice, white, open-air Thermaltake glass/stainless steel case already. The real highlight of this video is the flawless calibration of the Dying Light settings at 13:21
C-13 cords in the "live audio" field are lovingly referred to as: "D-plugs" (just ask Radio Raheem)
The pattern on the Ironside logo is a Celtic knot, so yes it is a very Viking and Celtic design.
