I swear they are just improving the machine to keep up with Jeremy Ellis at this point. This performance is nothing short of incredible.
I had the chance to see The Roots live last night, and Ellis helped change my understanding of the drum machine from a tool for production to an instrument for live performance. Seriously mind expanding sounds he was putting together. And it helped broaden my own musical understanding and awareness.

Keep in mind Ellis is a classically trained musician. His abilities on the piano have been endorsed by Stevie Wonder himself. The vast majority of 'electronic musicians' indeed have no talent... But then again, that could be said for 'musicians' in general, regardless of what devices (instruments) they make noise with.
liennto Just because a EDM producer can't sit down and play the piano doesn't mean they have no talent. They still understand most concepts of music. They have talent.

.the most important thing is having youre own style and sound, it has nothing to do with how good you are, being too good can destroy the purpose of what music is all about. And no im not defending anyone that uses iphone apps to make music. Some skilllevel is required.

Zedd and Deadmau5 are both classically trained EDM artists.
EDM is as much about understanding the art of mixing as it is about being versed in music theory or technically proficient on an instrument. Not saying those skills don't help of course, but if you can't mix like a boss it doesn't matter how interesting your melodies are in the track or how fast you can shred

I am new to this MASCHINE world and have just got the Komplete 9. This kat is amazing I am totally impressed. My only problem with this video comes with the notion that someone could actually thumbs down this video but then I realize to be truly successful you must have haters... Jeremy Ellis is the truth and the reason I am purchasing the MASCHINE Studio time to start finger exercises.
If someone find this demo a joke and don t like it is not necesserly a HATER , that is the all point of like or dont,some do,some dont! I am not a hater but this video is a joke ! finger drumming skill doesn t make you do good music,this video demonstrate that jeremie does good finger drumming but that this song suck bad ass!! First I do appreciate your response but that is not call fingering drumming or I wouldn't call it that if it is because he was able to proficiently play various instruments. I just give props were props is due and this strictly a demonstration of the MASCHINE period and he did just that...

Yea, It makes dj's at raves and clubs look like shit. Having to perform a song you create every time is something on a whole other level than just making a song once and playing it with slight variations. This looks like the future of DJ-ing to me.
