Cars on the Road is the newest installment of the beloved Disney franchise, Cars. Cars on the Road is the first TV series to be added to the movie-filled franchise, and fans of the sprawling Cars universe are certainly in store to see more of the hilarious group of human-like vehicles that they’ve come to know and love. In this series, the titular cars are, as you may have guessed from the title, on a road trip. This series follows fan-favorite character, Mater on his journey to attend his sister’s wedding. If you’re a fan of Pixar and Disney, you know that there’s no way they’d make a new series without including tons of Easter eggs, inside jokes, and hidden references for eagle-eyed fans to uncover. Luckily, we’ve been hard at work searching for the best Easter eggs in this newest Disney+ series. From plenty of references to other animated favorites to major nods to movies you definitely wouldn’t expect to see in a kids’ series, cinephiles are sure to find themselves pointing at the screen plenty of times throughout this series. But, that’s not all Cars on the Road has to offer in the way of references. This series also has more than enough callbacks to the other movies and shorts in the Cars franchise. Fans of the Cars movies and expert Easter egg hunters, alike, will have more than their fair share of discoveries to make. Small reference I believe you left out - The clip where Mater has a bug in his windshield may also be a reference to the very first Cars Teaser where we see Mater get a bug in his windshield. Cool throwback that even some of the most dedicated cars fans might not notice at first.
I think it was a bee he got in his windshield in the first teaser,not a bug.
Actually the "Death Valley" scene isn't in death valley, but is actually based on the salt flats in Utah. Cars (like the ones shown in the series) test their fastest speed along the salt, because salt provides some really good grip.
That's exactly what I thought. As someone who lives in salt lake City UT near the salt flats it looked familiar to me in the show.

Yeah I thought that was reminiscent of Bonneville Salt Flats, which is a popular destination in the automotive world for drag racing and setting speed records

Based on the trailer, it looks like Mater is gonna have a big role in this show. I like that. Mater is my favorite Cars Character. That’s why I like Cars 2 so much. Because it was about him and it fleshed him out as a character. I can’t wait!
Sad cars 2 gets so much hate my favorite scene is when Finn jumps off the bridge to catch prof.Z in london because the time of the song and Finns engine reving
Mater’s definitely going to be important because the whole plot of the show his finding his sister, but I wouldn’t say he’s gonna be the MAIN character. Also yes, Cars 2 isn’t that bad.
Yeah! Cars 2 is an underrated gem. Finally people who agree with me. I just don’t see the hate for this movie.
I only wants lighting beat storm. There was a deleted scene where lighting joins dinoco and Cruz is 95, lighting wins the race even tho storm hits him again lighting was behind storm and says "Hey Jackson, storm is over" then goes forward fast and wins. The reason McQueen joined dinoco was because the CEO of 95 company idk his name he pulled lighting 95 number and put it into Cruz and lighting McQueen also teaches stuff to Cruz during race

I think the aliens with the huge brain scene is a nod to the Mars Attacks movie. The aliens in those have huge brain heads too
The T Rex car is called TyranaMissioSaurus Rex (Tyrana Rex), the even bigger Dino car is called “SpinoCrankShaftoRex”.
6, 7, 8, 10, 13, and 20 weren’t Easter eggs, 5 and 9 were Easter eggs for the wrong things (the bonaville salt flats and The Shinning respectively), and 3 is a double Easter egg. Yes there is stone henge in Europe but there’s an actual car henge in Kansas made with real cars
It's more likely referencing Carhenge than Stonehenge as they never actually leave the US since it's entirely a road trip

I’m so mad that they didn’t even make a reference to The Shining. That episode features the scary twins, the liquid pouring from the elevator doors (antifreeze instead of blood), even the carpet (which is also another Pixar reference as the same pattern was on the carpet in Sid’s house in the first Toy Story film). Completely overt references to one of the most iconic horror films ever and this channel raves about references to the Haunted Mansion ride and a not-Disney princess that went over most adults’ heads? Seriously? The disrespect

I also noticed that when maters custom bodykit fell apart he screamed the exact same way as a tokyo toilet mater that you could get at a comic con (i have one🤗)
The only Easter egg I saw in Cars On The Road is the Pizza Planet truck.

Mini review of episode 6
Musical episodes can go one way or another for me, but this episode easily became one of my favourite episodes
Agreed now that trucks song has caused Me to quietly chant trucks whenever I see trucks driving by or when they are parked!
I only saw one Easter egg. It was the part in episode 6, TRUCKS. I saw the pizza planet truck
Some of these are really far fetch and you completely left out the entire episode of the shining
the Pizza Planet Truck doesn't appear in The Incredibles.

The way the first film referenced stone henge with a hard to spot framed picture of cone henge was way better than car henge.
I know one you missed it the pizza planet truck in the episode "b movie" look in the background with the props
Car-ified references to The Shining like Racecar (Redrum), McQueen sees two cars that resemble the Grady daughters saying "Hello Lightning. Come drive with us." (reference to the scene where young Danny sees the twins and says "Hello Danny. Come play with us.), And who could ever forget the elevator scene when the elevator doors open to find a torrent of anti-freeze flooding across the hallway chasing McQueen (except in The Shining, its a torrent of blood that comes flooding across the hallway after little Danny.)
In the episode trucks we see a school bus that really looks like miss fritter
There might be an Easter egg in the third episode where at one point a tow truck tows a car that looks exactly like Fishtail from cars 3 as one of the thunder hollow racers.
