But in all seriousness, I love this episode. It's the reason why Zebedee is my favorite of the Z-Stacks. And like you said, Johnny Cuba is a villain who presents an actual threat to Zebedee, and isn't just a joke. If I had to choose a favorite episode myself, it would have to be Up River, because it involves my personal favorite character, Warrior, risking his life to save an entire town. Warrior is just such a lovable guy, and I personally find this episode to be better than his spotlight episode.
High winds is my favorite TUGS episode because it's just so relatable to me now.
I 100% agree with you so much that I have actually made an entire video dedicated to this episode too I think you would like it although in my video I go over the behind-the-scenes stuff I do really enjoyed this video it was really good made and surprising to see tons of trackmasters in this.

This episode is incredibly unique when you look at the other tugs episodes. For one it’s focused on a Z-Stack, the only one in the series to focus on one of them and secondly because of Johnny Cuba, he is one of the only major characters I guess you could say? To appear in only one episode, and my he does really make this episode, this isn’t my personal favourite but it’s still a fantastic watch
High Winds is the episode I would want to see the 20 minute of the most. Featuring scenes with Captain Zero and fleshing out the story a lot more. This is definitely one of TUGS's best.
In my Tugs video, I said both this and Pirate are very character dark, with the main characters in both being blackmailed. I think it's more shocking these two were made in a kids show than Munitions, as yes, that's dark, but kids can appreciate explosions and in many ways like them, whereas this episode doesn't feel like kids would fully understand just how dark the situation is
You and Tons make a great duo! Would love to see more colabs, especially TUGS stuff.

The great thing about this episode is that it doesn't need explosions to create tension and a sense of real danger. The characters and story do that all on their own in this one
This. I almost feel it has more of a danger factor because of that - the threats seem more real. The audience of TUGS isn't likely to have to deal with an exploding naval tramper in their lives, but manipulative and threatening characters are very much a thing in the real world.
Ahh yes my favorite episode. Zebedee’s character and his heroic actions are just great.

High Winds deserves much more attention, it definitely adds a lot more depth to the series and its characters. Also it’s lovely to see Johnny Cuba finally get some love, he’s actually my favorite character in the entire show lol. Fantastic analysis!
I was always a sucker for great character growth episodes, and though I have never been one to watch TUGS regularly, never nowadays, I remember this episode SERVING in that regard.
Good analysis on Zeebee (/j) and his personal moral code I haven’t properly considered before.
High Winds has always been my favourite too! Great to see someone else who thinks so.

Personally this my least favorite Tugs episode, but I really respect your opinion and do agree that this is a very unique episode and that Zebedee’s character arc in this episode is indeed a great one. I just felt personally that this episode was really hurt by being cut down to 15 minutes, however I think it would be a much better episode if we had the full 20 minute version of it, but unfortunately we do not.

My favorite episode from tugs is pirate
Nice, I've seen all the Tugs episodes before a few years ago but I prefer Thomas over Tugs because it has more episodes, is more popular, came out long before Tugs (since it started as a book series and not just a TV series like Tugs did), and it's not as dark and scary as Tugs (compared to the later episodes of course). Maybe that's another reason why they didn't continue making Tugs because not only did the company go bankrupt but maybe the show was just much more darker than Thomas for kids to enjoy to continue on with the series.

I don’t understand how this kid can pump out good videos every week, obviously he does research, then writes a script and he has record his voice and gets snippets and clips from the show??? And to put the icing on the cake judging by his voice he is easily under the age of 18 (no offence if I’m wrong) and I’m 14 and can hardly put a video out once every second week!!! So what’s the magic, is it Jaffa cakes. Cause I know we don’t have those in New Zealand LMAO. Share your secret
