  • I spent 3 weeks in the Czech Republic in search of the best places to visit. After featuring this awesome country in our Top 10 destinations for 2015 video, we needed to go and experience it for ourselves. The Czech Republic exceeded our expectations.
    Prague was great, as expected, but there's so much to discover outside the big the city!. The national parks and natural reserves are incredibly beautiful.

      You can find so many clips here in YT about Poland which can give you a clue. The places I would recommend are : Zakopane, Gdansk, salt mine in Wieliczka, Czestochowa, Zelazowa Wola, .....hm, hundreds other "must to see" ( oh, Mazury - lake district). But if you have a chance to spend Christmas with Polish family, especially highlanders -Gorale you'll have the real feeling and picture of the Poles and their spirit, friendliness and sharing attitude. Good luck. Don't hesitate to bother me. If only on YT will be gladly to your services.

      Firedrake I have been this summer twice in Czech Republic. Well, I live in Wroclaw so it is not far away. Two fast trips - once to Liberec, then Olomouc second time. Both lovely cities (with great architecture in Olomouc, but Liberec seemed little more "lively") Never been to Prague, but since it is so touristy, I prefer smaller cities. Next time Hradec Kralove and Brno (for bigger city feeling) Greetings! :-)

    • @l.m.7637
      @l.m.7637 Před 7 lety +5

      Thanks for asking, i hope that you'll like it here. About weather. November isn't the best month for visiting Czech republic. This month is cold, windy and rainy. Sometimes it can start snowing. Generally all winter months aren't good. Because of global warming is winter here unpredictable. I don't know why are you going to visit Czech republic but if you want ti visit some monuments, castles and so on, it's usually in November and during winter months closed, i think. At this moment is here nice weather. It's hot, sun is shining but it will change soon. So if you want to visit Czech republic, i would prefer summer months. Like May, Jun, July, August, September. But as i told you, climate here is every year different so i can't tell you exactly. What i told is just my opinion. So if you want to have nice trip and enjoy it here, come in the summer. This is my opinion. Any other questions? I would like to ask you, where are you from? :)

    Hearing non-Czech speaking people trying to speak Czech makes me feel very proud of our beautiful language. I don't judge that they cannot pronounce so many of Czech words, it's really not the easiest language in the world. But I really love speaking Czech and seeing peoples reactions. And I love trying to teach them some of our "spicy" words like "čtyři", "řeřicha" or "nejneobhospodařovávatelnějšími". And their most favourite of all sayings is usually "Tři sta třicet tři stříbrných..." and so on. It's also interesting how much I watch videos about Czech republic since I left. I come from a small quiet town called Roznov pod Radhostem. It`s situated in the very East of Czech Republic, about 20 km from the border to Slowakia. Although the town is very small, there is a large complex of 3 outdoor museams (called Skanzen) right next to the very centre of the town. Especially in summer, spring or early autumn, the museum (esp. the parts The wooden Town and The Wallachian Village) look like a freaking 17. century fairy tale. The museum is called Valasske Muzeum v Prirode and it`s the largest and oldest outdoor museum in Central Europe. Also, the museum technically has a 4. part that is situated on the top of the mountain Radhost, which is a famous pilgrim place. There are several houses in a wonderful architectural style, plus there is also the possibility to keep walking on top of the long hill past the statue of the Pagan god Radegast all the way to the wooden Chapel of Cyrill and Methodius. From there the views are just stunning. The mountain Radhost is about 1200 meters high.

You really totally picked up the most amazing places, for more I would recommend Karlovy Vary and Luhacovice. Both of them are spas, one in western Bohemia, second in south-eastern Moravia and have amazing architecture, cultural programme and atmosphere! :)

    Hard to tell, I'm from Brno so I'm familiar mostly with Moravia Region, and your choice seems pretty good to me. I never been to Lytomyšl and sadly Olomouc, but I believe there are several similar cities - Telč, Slavonice. Olomouc is worth to mention, Krkonoše or Šumava mountains (different mountains have different character, perhaps I prefer Jeseníky as well) and I know several locations that are as beatiful as national parks, but so tiny, that there are just for one day walk (Pálava just north of Mikulov, Bílé Karpaty close to Radějov and many others). But anyways your list seems pretty good, just some locations can be exchanged
