New to redstone - didn’t realize that the Repeaters have to be put in a certain direction.

Thank you so much! I found a similar tutorial but it didn’t work (think because it was for Java and I didn’t realize it) and this one works flawlessly now I can hide my base from my friends

What if you also want to open it from the inside?
Put redstone dust right behind the lever instead of the repeater then run that to a separate lever. If you want to get a bit more complex I recommend using a redstone clock or pulse extender and a button so it automatically closes when you are through. Also forgot levers when it comes to flush doors as you ultimately are probably trying to hide your base or a cool secret room. There are plenty of videos on CZcams to help with redstone. I'd recommend mumbo jumbo but sadly he doesn't play on bedrock edition but many of his redstone basics still apply and a few just need adapted for bedrock. I wish you luck on your journey it's a tough one sometimes but it's well worth it in the end.

I thought it didn't work because the door acted weird. Turns out I put a block where the restore torch was. It works and honestly a pretty easy tutorial to follow!
What was your problem, was your sticking positions not really sticking to each other

So I followed the tutorial but when I try to reopen it the 2 blocks and the pistons that are supposed to push them to like create the wall don’t reset the way they are supposed to, anyone know how to fix it?
Double check the redstone you may not place some of it

Hey this was really easy to follow and works in Switch/Bedrock edition 1.16. Many guides on youtube claim to work for all versions or for bedrock, and don't so you earned my subscribe and thumbs up. (PS. Made this as an enterance to my cave base where I have a zombie spawner farm, unfortunately the base is 1800 blocks from my main base, but iv'e connected it with a minecart track so i can just go upstairs and make a coffee and come back to it lol.)

If you place a lever on the same block the Redstone torch is on, you can shut the door

if you do use a button, to avoid a timing issue all you need is a comperator circuit aka pulse extender

_ Claire_Voyance _ a pulse extender is two comparators next to each other, facing opposite directions with four redstone dust connecting them, you put it right behind the button before the rest of the circuit and it basically just makes the buttons pulse last longer, if you’re on xbox i can show you if you want

You don’t need to have that much of a tick delay, instead of 4, 2 or 3 red stone ticks on the repeaters powering the side pistons should work and make it look a lot smoother.

He doesn’t have a lot of tick delay. He only had it where he needs it which is when they go to the side pistons. The initial 3 repeaters are just so that the redstone doesn’t prematurely activate redstone on top of the blocks that are attached to the side pistons.

How would you go about making another switch to open and close it from the other side?
Use a pulse extender with a button on either side. If you need put a redstone torch so always on.
I just put Redstone wiring to other side and put a lever works great I didn’t have to dig underground tho don’t know why

For java, the redstone needs to be slightly modified on the top layer. Other than that works flawlessly.
