    Hi Brandon. Your videos are great. I have learned a lot from watching them. At 1:40 seconds you mentioned a screw that can't be accessed without taking the flywheel off. That scared me because, I don't have the puller. However; I put the motor in forward and opened the throttle and I could see the screw. I tried my 3/8 screw driver but, it was too big to turn the screw. I tried a smaller screw driver and I was able to turn the screw. Whew!!!! Thanks again, keep going strong, brother.

      I was in the process of taking out the flywheel while fiddling with the gears and was able to take out that last screw. phew..

    Gracias amigo por compartir tus conocimientos, ese motor 9.5 hp fue un icono en los Estados Unidos, aqui en mi Pais quedan muy pocos operativos. Saludos.

    At the beginning of the video you had the idle adjust needle removed. Mine is stuck and just spinning can't screw in or take out. How did you remove and put back in?

    My 9.5 runs good but I have some questions maybe you can help it runs good up until you get the tiller handle to "fast" and then it spits and sputters you know what that could be?? And I replaced my fuel pump but when I put the linkage back together it drives fine but won't go back into reverse now??thanks man awesome vids!

    Hey man. Is there any way you can swap carbs for this? Mine has a little trouble getting my boat up on plane which causes it to hang like it running it at about half throttle

    • @BrandonsGarage
      @BrandonsGarage  Před 5 lety

      Sure its running on both cylinders?
      You can swap carbs with another 9.5, but that is the only carb that will fit this thing.

      😩 ok. That won’t fix this issue lol. Thank you for the insight though. Was hoping to be able to move t up to a 15.

    I have a 1970 9.5 Johnson with bad fuel pump. The square one is 120.00, will the other stile like yours fit mine and if so what part # are they, do you know??

    • @BrandonsGarage
      @BrandonsGarage  Před 6 lety +1

      It will, but that's the original style, you really don't want to use one if you don't have to.
      Have you considered an aftermarket pump? bit.ly/0388833

      @outboardfixer Před 6 lety

      Yes I have but trying to find one that I can afford....120.00 is outrageous.
