as a experienced Gibraltar league FM player. Sign english players. They will get Gibraltar nationality in 1 year and they are able to play for Gibraltar in 3 years if I remember correctly. Just not loan them outside the country.
I've done a Build a Nation in Bulgaria this year, but Gibraltar definitely on my list. Seems fun
I did mine with Lincoln red imps i won 20 league titles and 16 domestic cups my signing policy was ageing stars and English players. Somehow I managed to get kyle walker and some old players in .I returned to Gibraltar with Manchester 62 layand won the rock Cup but Manchester 62 went into admin so I resigned . There new manager was On £5 a week and won the GFL
I did a build a Nation Gibraltar with Europa FC and reached the Champions League Semifinal 2032 With this stragety,also i almost reached the Euro

All the english wonderkids are so expensive. Ive tried to sign scottish and welsh players but they never got the potential. But guess ill have to just stick it out with them and brazilians too. Again they expensive and im worried that 1 or 2 bad seasons and i have no finances.
HI ZEALAND ITDOMLOL HERE. Yes they gain nationality after 3 years but they are not avialable to play until 5 years still. Also cristiano ronaldo was solely signed for his name :D
Seen a few replies saying this so I’ll repost here. To increase your youth facilities, all you need to do is leak to the press after your board refuses, you should have more than enough tenure to avoid negative repercussions.
@@alexmiddleton2276 the issue is that the option isn’t available. I can’t leak to press because they don’t give me the option to ask for new youth facilities. They appear when they degrade and then I can improve them again but otherwise they don’t. Would have tried if I could 👌😃
@@ddoghusky2928 I have been doing a gibraltar save this year and run into a similar issue, the only way I managed to get youth facilities to their highest possible rating was by waiting until my reputation was a full 5 stars, not 4.5 stars.
Regarding the youth facilites, they are linked to a hidden attribute on the chairperson on the board. They have a "youth importance" attribute, and they won't even allow you to ask for youth facilities if that is low. So the only thing you can do is wait for a takeover and hope the new one has high youth importance, if they do, they will allow you to ask for it, at least.
hi, this is a late reply, but if your club starts with facilities that are not a mulitple of 2 (2,4,6,8 etc..) you will end up with a facility rating of 19, as each upgrade goes up by 2 the reason why the upgrade isnt available is due to it physically not being possible, the only fix is to wait for the facilities to drop slighty due to 'technological advancements', which happens over time, or use the editor to drop it by 1
1st Gibraltar Guy:

To make Gibraltar a good nation, you can focus on developing youth players and use national team call-ups strategically to build a strong squad. Upgrading facilities is important for player development, so investigate any upgrade limitations.
2nd Portsmouth Guy:
You have a fantastic team! Your tactics could be improved, though. Saka and Martinelli would likely be more effective on their preferred sides (Saka - LW, Martinelli - RW). It seems you're using gegenpress with a mid-block, which might not be optimal. Experiment with a standard 4-3-3 gegenpress with Saka on the left and Martinelli on the right. Consider adjusting your mentality to positive or even attacking in some situations to truly showcase your team's strength.
3rd Guy:
Scouting is key! Invest in more scouts and coaches to find hidden gems. If relegation is a threat, consider focusing on high-potential players from South America. Act quickly to secure them before bigger clubs do. Build your team around talented youngsters and utilize loan options strategically. With your current league position, attracting good loan players should be feasible.
4th Guy:
As a Champions League team starting from a small nation, free agents and loans are valuable resources. Utilize them effectively to strengthen your squad.

I learn a lot from your videos because my biggest mistake I have been making is that I have been too focused on the player's attributes without looking at their negatives (like disliking big matches as an example)
you do not see those until your star striker with 20 finishing doesnt score a fkin goal out of 15 shots in the most important match in the history of your club
For the first save, they'll need to leak to press to get youth facilities raised. I've run into hard caps in a few saves in FM24 where that is the only way to get em raised further.
I'd recommend saving beforehand just in case it goes horribly wrong, but I have yet to be fired doing this.

In my danish save, I don’t even get the option to request the upgrades after Superb. Not sure if bug or something set because I’m in Denmark.

As someone also doing this and currently in 2048 with Lynx. If your league reputation increase, you can max your youth facilities. It has taken me until 2048 to do this.
For the Gibraltar save: Also sign better players for the rest of the league and loaning them out and selling them for cheap. Don't think of profits. Make the League stronger. The types of players: better than the league but not good enough to ever start for their national team. All of them have the potential to switch for Gibraltar and not taking up space in your team.
Oh and: lots of lower league English players helps quite a bit.
As to the youth facilties... I have never seen that and I played with even lower teams than Calpè.

For the first one: Sometimes your owner is just straight up a dickhead, he will deny you upgrades to your facilities even though you have 500M in the bank and are winning the UCL every year. Very strange, usually happens to me at Leeds a lot for some reason.
they wont even let me into the boardroom to ask them. i can ask for anything else like new stadiums etc and theyll deny it. but new youth facilities they wont even let me ask

@@ddoghusky2928 Oh, they might have removed the feature. I'm still playing FM19 so I don't know for sure. At least in '19 you could agree on a club philosophy with the board, typically when signing or renewing your contract with the team. For example "sign young players for the first team". This has an effect on what kind of requests you can make to the board, as well as contributing to your evaluation and job security depending on how well you fill those goals.

For the last one: I did a build a nation save in the Faroe Islands so I understand the situation they are in. My tip is to trial literally every single player that was released by a club in the top 7 leagues at the end of each season. I would have upwards of 300 players on trial at some points but that took me from the worst club in the Faroese top flight to the Champions League without spending a single cent on transfer fees. Once you qualify you start getting essentially unlimited money so you can for the wonderkids, the main part is actually getting there in the first place. I signed players like Lewis Miley (who eventually started on my first UCL final with TB), Jarrell Quansah, Quim Junyent, Tim Iroegbunam and Martim Neto like this. At first, the big names will reject you, so you'll have to make do with the worse ones, but they are still great for you and will elevate your level so that next season you get better rejects, and so on in a positive feedback loop. For a period of 3-4 years I would basically find a new starting XI every season with all the rejects, but it was worth it - my first UCL final was only in my 13th season.
In the dictionary 'dynamic' = 30 seasons in FM for minimal progress 😂
I have a Gibraltar save ongoing for 13 years with Magpies. I'm in the middle point of these 2 saves.
I'm at a point that I can qualify for UCL but knocked out with 2 wins, or make to RO16/QF in EL or ECL. I somehow carried the country to 16th in coef table. This season 2 other teams made it to ECL first time ever, we can get second UCL spot soon.
I have the money but I can't spend it, I have spent my first UCL money badly and now I'm stingy. I need to make better transfers but I got somehow bored.
The key for national team is indeed English Players, they will get naturalized in 2 years opposed to 5 years for others. I missed the first job opening for NT but finally got it 1 season ago, most of the team is my current or previous players. We won Nations League C group and I'm optimistic about my first qualifications round.
I'm the arsenal guy!! In the next season we won the domestic treble with carabao, FA cup and had 97 points in the premier, but lost in the CL final again to madrid lol

Did the same as the first guy, but with Europa FC in Gibraltar. I had the same issue, that my board didn't even gave me the option to click on "upgrade youth facilities". Hell even Lincoln Red Imps hatld better youth facilities than I had...
I managed Lincoln and its true challenge is about the league is there's no money and there's 2 players that are legends roy chipolina and lee cascario who became the oldest goalscorer in 2025 at age 43

With "Upgrade youth facilities" there is a bug where you can't even ask for them and if that happends you need to wait till your training facilities get downgraded.
hi zealand! i have a suggestion for you, why don’t you do an Tirana Rebuild, their an Albanian Club, the most important club in the country which last year after buying so many “BIG” players they failed to win the league. I think it will be a good idea to try making them the FC Bayern or Juventus of Albania by winning as many league titles in a row and making the Albanian league one of the best in the balkan.

The best scouting method 100% is checking manually all interesting national teams and scout young players for their tier. For example, a 17 yo in the main Denmark national team, a 16 yo Brazilian in the under 23s, etc. This worked for me to get a Haaland level striker from Bulgary for under 1M€ when he was 15 yo

For the first save, I have a query with the Build A Nation I'm doing with San Marino. Zealand's advice on getting players from big nations to gain nationality an play for Gibraltar can't work for mine due to a player needing to be in san Marino for 15 years to gain nationality. Is there any other things not mentioned that I could use for my save?
Yeah the only way there eligible is if they have san Marino family members or roots

Regarding that last save - I've started once in the swedish 2nd tier and tried to sign young players with a bright future. However I also signed one player per transfer window that might seem old, washed even. (Ben Arfa was my first, he stayed for 1.5 years and really elevated my club to the Allsvenskan).
Signing old players that help immediately is not a bad thing
never played fm24 but 0 to 4 gold star scouting worked wonders for me in fm 23
I used to live in Bridport 12:01 , also managed them in FM but didnt have it in me to go up the whole 10 divisions
i have 15 scouts in 15 different ares on ongoing for my wonderkid scouting. is this top priority scouting going to be objective better even though it is reducing my global coverage?

I have the same issue with Youth when it's stuck at lvl10 no matter of what achievements I got. That is definitely a bug but I bet it won't be fixed

I am stuck at a similar position like the last guy, just a few steps higher. I am making the CL group stage every year, but i am always knocked out at the first KO round. My team against a team like Dortmund, no chance. I am already in the Top20 of the club list, the gibraltar football league is top9 in europe, but every player i think would make my team better does not want to join my team.
Saving saves is more like give advice if you wanna truly save a save help them do it sign players

for the kids younger than 17 I definitley think you should scout lower than 1.5 yellow stars, especially if your scouts arn't world class.
I've had plenty of players at 1 yellow star or less that ended up as great players for the club. Don't go lower than 4 grey stars tho.

I has the same problem as the Portsmouth save. The inability to find wonderkids has always been my problem due to I was always felt that the players I got from the scouting report arent good enough to make my starting lineup. Hence, it is why I decided not to sign as it will disrupt their development due to less playing time. Is this normal, or any advice i could get?

Don't know for sure, but I think some of the youth rating stuff is hard-coded; if you tried to create a new country/league in the editor and you use an extinct/nonexistent country as a template, there are aspects of youth/player quality that you simply can't edit or adjust. I suspect there are elements you can't improve due to population size, location, etc.

Same as the scouts won't recommend Mbappe because he is technically 3+ star player they also won't recommend awful players because they fit the criteria. It goes both ways so general advice for focuses is to drop stars below the level you are actually looking for.

To the 1st one: First of all, A Build A Nation is not about the national team but making the league the best. The national team is just a side-effect, but not the main goal.
Edit: this is not to say that you can't do it, if you want, but the general definition of a BaN in FM, as it was told to me several times, is to build up the league.
Just look at Second Yellow Card.
Reasons:
- international management is not really good in FM
- the issues the player actually listed in their entry: hard to convince players to join (reputation of nation), if they get the nationality at all before they play internationals for their own country, etc.
- youth ratings, game importance, etc. don't change really that much to improve youth intakes for the nation's clubs to create a real "golden generation"

@@SteveAustin-zv1nn It is not. Second Yellow Card (best known BaN youtube/Twitch player) currently does one in Malta and he is already up to 7th in UEFA coefficients. You just need to know the tricks and tipps. And it is a very long term game.

@@aduboo29 Nah mate, seeing wonderkids sign for mid-tier prem clubs instead of you, a back to back winner of the UCL from Germany, whilst your player get poached from time to time from said prem clubs is more than enough for me to never set a foot there.
I saw the title of this video and got flashbacks, my first and only save i am playing with swansea city and cant get out of the championship in my 5-6 years of playing i have good youth intake who both of my prospects have pretty much broken in to the first team, but now all of the big teams want them and i am having a tough time letting them go. I am having trouble finding prolific strikers as the ones i have rn cant score to save their lives, in general i am having a tough time finding good players, at one point i will be on and 10 game winning streak and the next i am losing 10 games in a row to the worst teams in the league. I havent played in a while and i sort have lost hope, any advice from you guys in the comments please help me s

can someone help - i manage djurgarden (a swedish team) and the value of all my players is so low like i have the 4th best player in the game valued at 2m. we’ve won 6/7 champions league, the league for who knows how many years in a row and our reputation is 5*, so is it to with the leagues reputation or something else ?

What a misleading title, 3 out of the 4 saves reviewed were top table clubs.
I dont get how people struggle so bad. The game is to easy. Just took wimbledon from league two to the prem in 3 years winning 3 titles in a row. And then just won the prem with them at the first attempt. Now season 5 im looking to win the CL. 120 CA is plenty to win the CL.
OK, well I'll look past the fact that you probably cheated along the way or you were just exclusively signing south american wonder kids, and say that if you find that too easy, then manage at a tougher team or a tougher league.
The game is as easy or hard as you make it, try playing in a lower league in a smaller nation where you start as an amature team and try to win the champions league then
