First time in history that la campanela is in beginner category of anytithing 😊
0:39 ah yes, mozrart, one of the composers ever
1:45 ah yes, g flat minor

Heavily weighted in favour of pianists - not many string players are likely to know Rachmaninov and Alkan
that sucks
Alkan maybe, but if you're a classical musician and you don't know Rachmaninoff you must be living under a rock
Someone who doesn't know Rachmaninoff can hardly regarded as musician, in my humble opinion.
Fuck string players
1:53 Campanella is etude no. 3, not 4
yeah its also g sharp minor not g flat
I got every composer correct leading up to Grandmaster. I didn’t know the specific Alkan piece, which Beethoven piano trio, or which Haydn symphony, but overall pretty easy. Also Poulenc is sooo good
I am doing this in mute... just solfegge... that's pro level 😂
Where are Bartók, Sviridov, Ligeti and so on? Just because of the "big" namens it doesn't mean, that it is getting harder.
I had:
2 mistakes at student
3 at music teacher
5 at expert.
Finally some really challenging test!
Only 5 or 6 got completely right (three from the first row; Bach Toccata from BWV 529, Haydn 45 (Though at first confused with 26th) and Beethoven 7th. Also confused the moonlight with Appassionata and Piano Trio with one of Violin Sonatas. The rest was wrong/no clue, including - shame! - Mendelssohn 3rd.
This is profoundly lacking in Dvorak and Brahms.
And Schumann
And Prokofiev and Debussy
@@ukdavepianoman
Nah, they wrote some decent music but amateurs comparatively speaking. Most of Prokofiev and Debussy is rubbish.
@@PrinceValiance Prokofiev 5 is incredible.
And Bruckner and Mahler and Shostakovich
Bro only knows piano music
Watch the video before commenting lmao look at the end
He literally put orchestral music and even organ music
@@Batman-hb9dh Its literally majority piano
@@cps6949 My brother in christ... how do you not know what the fuck hyperbole is
Unfortunately yes this is a bit true, piano has a huge repertoire
Though I do get your point on how this video picks piano music a little more than the other instruments.
That was fun! I got all the ones I could expect myself to know, and I was close enough for my own standards with the rest. Overall, well done! There was a Chopin in there that didn't look much like him until after the countdown was over and suddenly there were the characteristic left-hand jumps, and my answer was "One of the B-level German romantics" for the Mendelssohns and Schubert, but I'm pleased to say I nailed the rest. I was surprised to see Alkan show up in here, I hope this means he's getting a bit more visibility these days, and I love that piece.
I see a lot of bitching that the test wasn't rounded well enough in one direction or another, but this is pretty much like the tests I got in school, though I will say this is generally better and more fun literature than I was offered.
I got the alkan one only because it didn't sound like a composer i knew and it looked hard, and i always heard that Alkan made very difficult pieces.
idk his handwriting was different from others
Excellent
0:07 ah easy and gets easier. I played most of these songs.
really cool
Vivaldi Lauda Jerusalem I got wrong. I did guess Vivaldi, though. I also messed up on Poulenc. First I got wrong- level 6. I got none of them right on level seven.
Literally cannot guess any of the middle. Immediately got Pag 10🤣🤣
Violin player confirmed
Darude - Sandstorm
Bro who tf knows the 2. movement of moonlight sonata lmao
this is not a „turkish march”, this is a rondo alla turca
isn't it the same?
@@Rydeon_ It is the same thing, but it is a rondo, not a march. So it is incorrect to say that it is a march.
@@elcklur3203 i think so
Do you know any other composers besides Chopin?
