You have a shit pistol with 30 shots, a sniper with around 12, 5 knives, armor that is most likely broken, 8 stims and a spear Not optimal xp farming equipment if you ask me
@@lexus8018only if you rush. There is so much ammo in stashes it's unbelievable. Played that dlc like 3 or 4 times and never had trouble with ammo. And that's not even counting holorifle that's given to you at the start - it's one of the best energy weapons in entire game
I felt the most in-character that I've ever felt playing this DLC and by in-character I mean scared and slowly loosing my sanity. Like fr this entire first half is just "you can run but you can't hide" because the moment you stop running the ghosts are gonna find you
I didn’t believe Elijah’s warning to avoid the ghost people. So when I met the first one, I just strolled up and started shooting. I was surprised at how many bullets it took to finally take it down, but I said no biggie, lemme just grab these chips in the fountain real quick and move on. When suddenly the bastard sprung up from behind me with a hiss I nearly jumped! It was then that I knew what I had gotten myself into 😂
My whole playthrough i was at 26/240 HP If sugar bombs were +1 hp/s and duration 5 instead of 7 i'd be dead Also it doesn't help the fact that i didn't get the stimpak code in my first playthrough.
Them's Good Eatin' might as well be required for the dlc lol, no idea how I'd beat it without that perk and I started 7 levels past the recommended level

I think it's a way to teach players to be very aware of your surroundings. And honestly, it's not that hard once you understand how they work. Plus, a lot of the speakers in the early parts of the DLC have markings and writing near it so they aren't hard to find.
@@yeahmike3847 Ok, so there are 2 speakers you can shoot. One right above the bottom room you first enter, and one right above the door you leave through. The other speaker has to be shut off by the terminal that's at the end of the hall. What you do is, go up the stairs until you're at a certain spot where the collar isn't beeping, shot the ones you can, then run for the terminal and turn off the speaker. You just have to be quick when activating the terminal.

Just take it nice and slow and scavenge everything. And if all else fails drop items like a breadcrumb trail to help find your way back. Also be sure to eliminate all intercoms that you can while you still have breathing room. And save a lot. There’s a lot of trial and error involved with those evil things. ^_^
My first time was exactly like this, didn't explore, got spanked on the gala event, didn't had any healing items and was at 5hp, and needed to pass through the toxic mist. Had to use god mode because i spent more than 2 hours trying to get out of there. Second time tho, i explored as much as i could, got almost every dean stash and was like, with 200 20 gauge, and 300 .306 for the pistol, not including the ammo for the holorifle(with roughtly 150 stimpaks), at first i hated this dlc, after doing it one more time it became my favourite, i started liking the aesthetic and how i had nothing and needed to scavenge everything i could so i wasnt viscerated by the ghost people and traps. Edit: I played on normal on the first, because i didn't know how to change the difficulty, on the second i played on hard.

Yeah just take your time,place some mines and just let them to you and once they take a sh*t load of damage just be cautious and use melee and "kill" them fully and heal when needed
Just running away instead of demolishing everything makes this sequence feel like Cry of Fear, what with all these decrepit buildings and Courier running and panting like hell
Looking back i have no idea how I beat this, had crap gear and almost no health and had gas bombs tossed at me constantly But I did it, ending made me a little sad knowing I’d never see them again afterwards…they all lived but still

I decided to do this dlc very early in my playthrough (I was on hardcore aswell because masochism) to avoid over levelled ghost people. Needless to say it didn't make a difference and it was still terrifying
I still really wish the Ghost's were an enemy you're meant to only fight if they corner you, not invincible, mind you, but tough enough to be a real strain on your resources, then again, maybe the devs realized they had some funky shit with perception and made em easier
I love 03:05. Its like the game itself is like, "Dont you dare stop, keep running little rabbit". This was one of the most intense parts in a game I had played back in the day

I really enjoyed this DLC on survival. Battling hunger, fatigue, and thirst while also fighting against the red mist was a challenging experience that was interesting.
I *Had* To Come Up With A Multi Stage Plan For Getting To The Casino On My First Run But On The Second Run I Had So Many Healing Supplies That I Just Casually Walked There
Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if this is what hell is like though. Endless twisting hallways and once grand looking infrastructure while jazzy tunes blast away from a fortress you'll never be able to reach
The thing I hate about this part is that the whole area is designed like a maze. Good thing I was a luck build and cashed out the Casino when I got in. Replenished my entire stimpacks stocks that I lost because my dumbass was choking on cloud fumes with a crippled leg.
I both love and hate this dlc, the lore is absolutely amazing and i loge it, however it is WAY too hard and i hate the gameplay, plus i cant get any endings when i dony die so i had to reload to the think tank and the old world blues dlc because i wanted to do this one later!
It gets better the more u play through it. At some point you'll end up enjoying starting from scratch with only your skills to get through. When u can get the hang of scrounging and creating things as preparation, it becomes like doom almost. Just had to throw in my two cents lol
I ran out of healing supplies just as I reached the tower to activate the gala event and I had to run to the gate. Keep in mind this was on Xbox with no mods.
I started the gala, made it to the gate 2 minutes flat, realized I told Christine and Dean i'd go back for them, ran all the way to Christine's spot, she wasn't there, I never planned on going back for Dean anyway, spent 40 minutes lost trying to find my way back to the gate
i didn't run from death claws, cazadors, legion, or supermutants... i aint scared of no ghost. I took the time to hunt down each and every one i could find while i still had munitions.

the part I hate the most about this DLC is that everything looks the exact god damn thing in this god damn villa. navigating it is just a nightmare
Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if this is what hell is like though. Endless twisting hallways and once grand looking infrastructure while jazzy tunes blast away from a fortress you'll never be able to reach
I personally would always fight every single one and go at my normal pace, no matter how hard it was
The thing I hate about this part is that the whole area is designed like a maze. Good thing I was a luck build and cashed out the Casino when I got in. Replenished my entire stimpacks stocks that I lost because my dumbass was choking on cloud fumes with a crippled leg.

I both love and hate this dlc, the lore is absolutely amazing and i loge it, however it is WAY too hard and i hate the gameplay, plus i cant get any endings when i dony die so i had to reload to the think tank and the old world blues dlc because i wanted to do this one later!

It gets better the more u play through it. At some point you'll end up enjoying starting from scratch with only your skills to get through. When u can get the hang of scrounging and creating things as preparation, it becomes like doom almost. Just had to throw in my two cents lol

I ran out of healing supplies just as I reached the tower to activate the gala event and I had to run to the gate. Keep in mind this was on Xbox with no mods.
I started the gala, made it to the gate 2 minutes flat, realized I told Christine and Dean i'd go back for them, ran all the way to Christine's spot, she wasn't there, I never planned on going back for Dean anyway, spent 40 minutes lost trying to find my way back to the gate
Or a better option: take out your Fully Upgraded BAR and Holorifle go full Doom Guy mode on the ghosts.
i didn't run from death claws, cazadors, legion, or supermutants... i aint scared of no ghost. I took the time to hunt down each and every one i could find while i still had munitions.
The bear traps though ran into one and a ghost seeker 360° Noscoped me when he was falling off of a balcony
