2024 OSKCS Round 2 - LO206 Sr. Heat 1

Heat 1 for LO206 Sr. at Round 2 of the 2024 OSKCS Season held on 4/28/24
What a fantastic race! This was probably my most competitive race so far. I managed to hang with the front runners the whole race and we stayed bumper to bumper from nearly start to finish.
After the incredibly wet qualifying session, the rain stopped and the track began to dry over lunch. By the time we were headed to the grid for Heat 1, we had a tough decision to make. Do we risk going out on slick tires and hope the track is dry enough? Or, do we go out on rain tires again and hope the track stays slick? In the end, most of us gambled on slicks. However, as soon as we left the pits for the warm up lap, it began to drizzle...
