Godzilla vs Kong: X-Plus Large Monster Series Kong Review and Comparisons

We review the Kong Large Monster Series figure from X-Plus and compare it to other Kong and Godzilla figures, including:
- Kong: Skull Island Vinyl Statue deluxe version by Star Ace, with base and damaged helicopter
- Kong: Skull Island Version 2.0 deluxe version, with propeller and chain and base
- UA Monsters Kong 2021 action figure by Megahouse
- Super Gekizo (Hyper Solid) Series Kong by Art Spirits
- Godzilla 2021 Large Monster Series figure by X-Plus
This X-Plus statue is based on the 2021 movie Godzilla vs Kong. We review the Shonen Ric Exclusive version with a light up battle axe.
The X-Plus Large Monster Series is also known as the Toho Daikaiju Series.

Really great sculpts. I wish there was more available in a large 1962 King Kong figure as well. I know people love to knock that design, but as a kid it was my favorite G film, and seemed to be the one most often seen on local television in the NY metro area where I grew up.

Thank you for the review. i decided to go with the megahouse and repaint it (especially the eyes). The x-plus one here does just look annoyed and tired. the defo-real version captures the pissed off look of that poster better than the regular x-plus kong.
i also bought the x-plus/star ace model kit for that 2017 kong. these are the first kongs in my collection

the diamond select kong looks spectacular, the glowing orange eyes are the best part of that statue

X-plus is a fail! I got mine but it looks like they put minimal effort into it! Star Ace versions are leaps and bounds ahead of it in quality!!
I ordered the Ghidorah as well, that looks awesome but it's price is laughable! I could see it go for $400 tops, but with tax and shipping it's gonna be over $700?!? More then some x-plus gigantic's! But I still want it 😑

Damn I bought mega house for $180 from GameStop I really needed him to scale my 10” neca’s Godzilla which costed me $60 in 2014

I got the RIC Version ... Very Disappointed!! The figure is VERY Small!! Close to a 10" inch scale , Not a 1/6 scale! I also got Godzilla ... Even Smaller!! .... Sad .....
