- This way you dont have to clean them every time you want some and they will last way longer once you follow this method.
Add your berries to a bowl with 1 tsp baking soda. Let soak for 12-15 min.
Drain and rinse off then add to a paper towel lined cutting board. Pat dry.
Add to a sheet tray and let it sit uncovered in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
Remove and add berries to a paper towel lined tupperware. - Jak na to + styl
You know that's Soda not Powder.
Yep! It’s supposed to be soda, totally didn’t catch it until after posting that I said powder 🙈
Pretty important when you're giving instructions to get the ONLY ingredient correct.
Glad I seen this comment!
Lmao
@@amandajarvis7503glad you SAW that comment, not “seen”.. 🙂😉
This needs editing. I was about to try your technique and would of used baking powder had you not shown the baking soda box...
You use baking soda? You said use baking powder? They are different
Nice editing choice, definitely helps comment interactions 😂
Haha tell me about it! The video took off when I posted it and my mom had texted me about the callout but it was already too late 🤣
I was always told to remove the green off the strawberries before cleaning because they are full of pesticides or might be.
I feel like they spray the whole crop so I’m sure everything is covered but either way I cut the ends off before eating. Not sure if having the ends on helps they stay fresh for longer or not.
Why do we need to store in frodge for 1-2 hours? Is it chiller or freezer? Also can't we just dap them dry after 15 min baking soda and put it in container with paper towel and store in chiller skipping the 1-2 hour part?
Most paper towels contain Chlorine and Formaldehyde.
Damn we can’t win these days! Now with all of the microplastic research coming out as well in bottled water!
When you wash the frost of blueberries they turn to mush. Wash just before eating.😊
Baking soda! Lol!
Ok, got it. But after you've completed all the steps and it's time to store it to snack on, do you put it in the refrigerator or on the counter?
Snack away when it’s on the counter. The fridge will help keep the berries cold and that cold air will help dry it out.
Where are getting your water from...as many now have PFAS in it.
Baking powder?? Nit baking soda??
Are you to also add Vinegar?
I feel like vinegar does the trick too. Can’t hurt to do both I’m sure but the baking soda definitely does the trick.
Ain’t nobody doing all this shit
Haha it is a process. Crazy though when you see the super dirty water that occurs after the cleaning process is done.
Please correct video to say baking soda (even though show baking soda box). Baking powder is a different product.
I wish I would have caught it before uploading. There isn’t a way to upload a new video unless if I delete the whole post.
He says baking powder, but the box is baking soda
Correction: Baking soda
SODA, Not baking powder!!
That's baking soda not powder
Re-edit your voiceover :)
Appreciate the feedback. To what style?
@@Paleoish because you say baking powder instead of baking soda (like other comments pointed out)
Best to you. :)
I find it totally unbelievable that in this day & age, we still have people who do not know that it's UNSAFE, & that you COULD get sick, if you eat fruit right out of a container, before rinsing properly. Just Google it like we do everything else. People say, ohhh we've been doing that for years. We're fine! Until you're not. Times have changed with the way our food is processed & handled these days, especially any kind of fruit (well, & deli meats and cheeses, too now they say, & it is NOT wise, nor recommended. There's new warnings about our food all the time, & it's important to heed the advice of any new information. But it's also just as important, & actually, imperative to make sure that we're educating ourselves on the proper way to prepare our food, so that we're not taking chances with our health, or with the health of our loved-ones. I eat fresh, not frozen, blueberries twice a day. Yep! Twice every single day. And it's not a good idea to wash them all & put them in a container, in advance of using them. You're supposed to wash what you're going to consume very soon. Like I said, Google it! We Google almost everything else. Plus, Blueberries are very good for us, & that's always a good thing! 🫐🫐
