I have been doing the baking soda and vinegar rinse for my fruits and vegetables for quite some time. I recently came across an article that states using baking soda and vinegar together to wash your food and vegetables, is not as effective. The article stated that the solution would be to soak the fruits and vegetables with baking soda then after soaking the fruits and vegetables with vinegar, then rinse.

Exactly! You’re supposed to wash the harder for fruits and vegetables with baking soda, and the soft or fruits and vegetables, with vinegar and water. 🙌🏽

Any time I wash my strawberries in vinegar and baking soda, they immediately go bad. What am I doing wrong? Lol

Doing my research, I learned to use vinegar and water for the softer, fruits and vegetables. Baking soda for the harder, fruits and vegetables. Also, ensure that they are properly dry before storing in a container that is breathable.

@@ChazsLifestyleThank you so much! My strawberries are always bad while cleaning. I don’t even get the chance to store them. I’ll omit the baking soda from now on.
