I'm Taking Dark Magician To A YCS | Final Preperations

- In this video we aim to dive into my thoughts and theory as to what cards I'm going to main and side going into YCS Vancouver.

Im a casual player but can you try soul servant send pharaonic advent to grave. Send two traps/spells to grave that being magic defense to revive pharaonic advent. either have dugares revive him, magic defense or play chaos phantasm to copy him and use itself as fodder. Then take tyrant throes and use navi to revive 2 dark magicians to lock opponent.. it aint competitive but maybe you can create or add cards that it might.. its fun to lock them and have eternal soul to revive dark magicians and link ladder to tenyi.. add in apophis to negate and have extra normal monster.. add in magical hats to create 2 normal summons for tyrant throes while sending traps like navi, magic defense etc to grave and revive dark magician and lock opponent.. its stylish and fun for content but it aint competitive 😂 add one aremasir adventure cont spell is fun too. Or shadow light magician soul to summon effect veiler to sychro summon formula and get a draw.. with magicians rod negated you can still synchro summon into junk speeder.. deck dont have much space but its nice to pull out 5 synchrons tuner and create something thinking your DM deck is done.
You should try doing 2 things at the YCS:
1) If you start 3-0 try to get on a feature match. If you play dark magician it should be doable as a fan favorite.
2) Try and get on an official deck profile.
Get a shout out to your youtube channel and both of those would help get more subscribers.
The quality of your content deserves way more subscribers!
Love the thorough descriptions and breakdown of your thought process going into the YCS.
Play out your rounds, do a side event, have a good time! Videos on your whole experience, match breakdowns, etc. would be incredible. Get some yugioh creators together and do a pod cast!

Bro, you re-sparked my love for DM seeing it be even somewhat viable. I bought the whole deck and cards I was missing to start playing it again. Ive been in love with it. Thank you for that. Regardless of how it goes, Id love to keep seeing DM content from you.

Good luck at YCS. Looking forward to seeing how you do and an update video. I think a good update video would be your breakdown on the decks you played and possibly a deck profile of someone you played (like a rougue deck that you didn't expect to see)

Very good luck matchie, I believe that the community is very happy for the enormous dedication in your videos to dark magician. I already consider you a champion for the fact that you are committed to this challenge and no matter the result, nothing can stop "the ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense" kkk report at least the result game by game if possible, we'll be in the crowd!

firstly, best of luck at ycs. you've definitely made this DM player proud with the deck analysis, changes, recommendations, etc. just have a blast there, record matches, other players' analysis and thoughts of your DM deck etc.
as far as side deck or main deck considerations, are going first floodgates like summon limit, gozen match, etc, and potential going 2nd board breakers like droplet not worth considering, as they are generic cover all type cards? fantazmae sounds promising, and you could rank 7 into flare metal to be even more oppressive. maybe i'm 5 years too slow on how the current format gets played, but just wanted to toss it out there if no one hasn't yet.

I'm thrilled to hear anything about DM at a tournament. Do whatever feels right in that moment so that you enjoy yourself, and take lots of notes so you can give us the most breakdowns as possible afterwards.

BRO GOODLUCK!! Okay so what I think would be cool to see for a video, would be to (try) taking vlog style cuts. Going over the match you just played, how it went, how you're feeling, so that you can stitch it all together for one video after its all done. Might be hard to do especially if you go to time, but it would be so cool to have, especially if you make it all the way!

Good luck! I get secret village can be swingey as it is pretty dead going second. But it wins games on its own which is why I love maining it. I feel like an underpowered deck like dm needs some unfair cards like this to help level the playing field. Take with a grain of salt coz I'm not a very good dm player lol.
I will say that I do think running one tragety, Ad-Libitum, and two (2) Alubers along with a branded in red is really good. it makes Branded fusion even more searchable, and you can make Mirrorjade, and go into Chimera for even more disruption and use Ab and tragety for Chimera and gain so much advantage of such a small engine.

Good luck with the ycs matchie! Would love to see how you do trying to place and see a top but side events definitely would be a bit more enjoyable content wise. I also agree with the village, think they could be a good side deck option; sneaky in game two. Either way have fun and can’t wait to see

hey matchie, i started playing yugioh again after a long break and literally just copied your dm deck, so thank you! I'm rooting for ya! (P.S. how dafuq do you deal with kashtira?? Do you know any super-poly targets for fenrir? P.P.S., what are your thoughts on adding some aleister/invoked cards into the deck? I'm personally trying to expirement with that, but i feel like the synergy would just get lost)

If you don't make top cut, I don't think you should play all 11 rounds because the pool of contenders will have shifted since other people will left. I would like to see how you do at the side events.

As someones that's also played alot of spellcaster decks that utilize secret village, I've always put it in the side. I personally prefer to maindeck cards that can be used first and second, secret village is a dead card going 2nd. Side it imo
How come called by the grace isn’t being used? Wouldn’t it help against ash and decks that use gy effects?

Not amazing, cuz we can’t consistently make it with a light and dark. It’s alright at best.
Plus with all the cards that fusion lock, it doesn’t have a spot imo

I think one of branded fusion or red eyes fusion. Not both… I’m opting for branded fusion personally as I think it’s just a bit better for what the list wants to do
In my opinion I would’ve never gotten into yugioh without master duel, and I would’ve never stayed in yugioh without the dark magician? Is there a master duel friendly version of this deck? Since dragoon is banned? Im sorry to ask right before your most important event
