    Most entertaining and informative. Just because "it's a truck" is no excuse for not taking care of your Taco nor having pride in it. Besides, every one knows a clean and waxed vehicle runs better 😄

    Hair dryer or heat gun melts the plastic so you can’t even see it. Just be careful not to apply the heat too long.

  • @aussie8114
    @aussie8114 Před 10 dny

    I get decent success using a combination of mild heat from a heat gun or hair dryer then a light rub with a magic eraser microfibre sponge to de gloss the area where I applied heat. Needs experimenting to get the technique right. Don’t apply too much heat or the plastic will melt and become too glossy.

    Great vid.... I'll be trying this out under my glove box as my wife likes to lift her foot up while i drive causing some scuffs

    It’s funny because people are always complaining about the very tiny micro scratches that are on the glossy parts of the interior which don’t bother me at all what bothers me is all the flat black plastics get scratched so easily and I actually use a Ford work truck for work only and I can take my nails and try scratching the plastic and they won’t get scratched at all so it really bothers me that Toyota uses such cheap plastics. I do own a 2022 Tacoma that I absolutely love so I’m not being biased. My Tacoma is my weekend warrior and yet it has more scratches on the interior then my every day Ford work truck lol! And I really baby my Tacoma and it still has scratches in the interior not a lot but anytime you rub anything like a ring or your nail on something boom scratched.

      I couldn’t agree more I have a 2003 F350 that I let my dogs ride in the back and they claw the crap out of the plastics back there and Walla no scratches but I set my work bag in the backseat next to the consul and the zipper buckle scratch the plastic in it. But I guess when you buy a Toyota you’re paying for all that reliability. i’ve owned four Toyotas now. In my lifetime and they’ve all been absolutely perfect when it comes to reliability absolutely zero issues.

      Sudslabs makes some great products you can buy at Walmart. If picking them up at the store isn’t important then I highly recommend ordering from shine supply.

    I’ve got the TRD Sport in quicksand and I kinda love it for the mil tan color and also living in the desert it helps blend in, it’s near impossible keeping a vehicle clean here with all the dirt and dust. This was a great vid as I’ve got 2 dogs that Kind of scuffed up the rear passenger doors

    A crayon works well also. You color the scratch in and then rub it into the scratch with your fingers or a toothbrush,

    I’ve been using VRP on my 22 Tacoma and swear by it. Anything plastic inside and out. It doesn’t fade or get splochey. Dashboard too. And it also doesn’t leave it oily either.

    After watching this and another video on VRP I thought I would give it a try. For restoring color……fine, about the same as Armor All. As far as removing scratches…..capital “B” capital “S”. It simply does not work!!!!!

    Ridiculous! I see no change! All you did was cover the scratches. You didn't fix anything. In a few days they will reappear. Why not just use armor-all and keep applying it, like you're going to have to do anyway!
