Sophia used to go through what we called her 'gremlin phase' for a couple of hours every evening and she just screamed and screamed. It was so hard to deal with as we didn't know what to do to make it better. I def agree with trying infacol and also white noise and the special way of holding them on their tummy. Also ask family to help if they can - i couldn't have coped without my mum and mum in law. And we found Sophia was worst when she was overtired so we did anything to try and get her to sleep - including driving round for hours - oh the joys! Good luck to anyone going through colic! I feel your pain!! xx

Great tips; the main thing that helped me watching this was just knowing other people have gone through it and come out the other side with a smily baby. It's so soul destroying but just hugging them and showing them mummy and daddy will always be there is sometimes all you can do. That and a good cry into a hot cup of tea. Xxxxx

Great video, when I had my little girl all the mummies I knew hadn't experienced colic so I don't think people really understood. Nothing worked for us but it turned out it wasn't colic it was reflux! Being a first time mum I had never heard about reflux and the Heath visitor kept telling us it was colic. We took her to the doctors when she was 4 months old, as soon as she was prescribed gavison she was a completely different baby! I would definitely say to new mummies if nothing works go and see the doctor because it could be something like that xx

We were lucky that this only last a few weeks for Oliver but I remember that totally helpless, stressed feeling. It's bad enough when you're already overwhelmed by having a new baby, and then you find out they're in pain and you can't help! We used infacol before his bottles which definitely helped. xx

We used the tiger hold and also coleif drops. She was like a different baby with these two things. If you're FF feeding it's worth also splitting their milk feeds to little and often as opposed to making them wait it out for 3/4 hours. It can be tiring but it helped us a lot
    Xx

I did a video about this recently. it's just horrible:( stripping down and naked time helped, a sling also, massage helped as well as baths. and remembering it does end and getting help or someone else to hold the baby whilst you take time out. it's developmental and isn't forever xxx

I really wish Channel Mum, was around when I had my babies. Now at 16 and 13, I watch these videos and sit nodding away. My daughter (firstborn) had colic, it was awful. The pain she was in, the stress it cause me and my husband. I'm not sure on advice or availability now, but when she was going through colic, we were advised to use Gripe Water and then she was prescribed Infacol. Specialist bottles didn't seem to be available until my son came along, 3 years later. From the get go, we used Dr. Brown bottles, he did need a little help from the use of Infacol (again prescribed) but not as much and not as long as his sister did. Now it's funny, to think about now but my daughter is now lactose intolerant. It was never mentioned, when she was a baby, that her formula could be the problem. Like I say, it was 16 year ago. If any mamas are currently going through this, with their little ones. It does get easier. Take a breath and try to relax, baby will sense when you are stressed. Xx

I breast feed. What worked magic with me was ensuring to drink boiled fennel and cumin seeds drink. U can also add cardimon into the pot. If I would miss drinking it for a night, for sure my little one would cry of colic the same night. 😜. It was amazing.

so what happens if your baby starts crying and it gradually gets worse, like the baby goes from fussing to crying to screaming til it has emptied its lungs til they gasp and do it repeatedly?
So far I've done everything even tips from other moms and my baby girl just keeps crying to the point of screaming, her face is red and looks like something bit her or harmed her in the most uncomfortable way and she was screaming for over an hour, holding her may settle her down for like 1 minute but moment you stop or put her down she screams again.
I need advise, I need help, tips, tricks, magic, science, anything to help this baby girl calm down from sudden screams.

PS. I was the colic baby. My mom told me it was such a hell for her and 20+ years ago people didn't know much about colic, but she discovered putting me in the car helps calm me down 😂 please make sure to calm your baby down and don't just let them scream their lungs out. Try baby wedge pillow.
When the baby's head is elevated it opens his airways and makes it easier to breath and for sure long and better sleep.
This brand is the best so far and it has saftey certificate.
