  • G’day
In today’s video we are getting under the bonnet of the P38 Range Rover in order to diagnose an air leak somewhere in the system. I’ve been monitoring this one for a short while, and have diagnosed the YES and NO’s of what’s happening, so I’m here to explain it all in detail, in hopes that YOU CAN DO THIS for yourself.

Thanks Keithy you've inspired me to check my tank for leaks as my black 38 drops over about a week so must be a slow one and I haven't checked the tank fittings yet. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Keithy, have same problem but mine is sagging left rear within 1/2 hour. I have your system in and shutting off the valves stops the leak and it holds its height. So I have a left rear valve faulty? And finding a single valve I presume is going to test the efforts of Mr Google and probably hurt my back pocket too! Have already done the o ring rebuild of the valves but didn't fix and think my compressor is a little slow getting it back up to standard if I lower it to access as well but main issue here is left rear.

It’s a bugger when you’ve gotta go hunting for an issue, but it’s good that you have the bypass kit to help you through until you can get deep into it.
If the system has no leaks, I’d guess that you’ve maybe got a solenoid that’s buggered. The other option could also be a height sensor issue for that left rear. It’s easy to check if you’ve got a diagnostic tool?
You can set the vehicle at height, use the nanocom to read the live spring heights, and compare as you lower or raise the suspension. If the left rear isn’t moving like the others, you could be up for a new sensor.
