Transformers Movie History featuring Drift. Wandering from place to place without any settled home, the former assassin now vagabond moves forward. He seeks atonement for his sins and strives to become a hero. But a hero desires a sword, and a sword desires truth. So he disgards his old ways, abandoning his guns for blades. His name is Drift. This is his origin story. What's up you guys? My name is RBG and welcome to my video segment, Transformers Movie Universe History. In today's episode we'll be uncovering the origins of the merciless assassin turned passivist, Drift. After the original wave of secondary Autobots from the 1st 3 films were wiped out, the big wigs at Hasbro & Paramount felt it necessary to usher in some new bots. I wasn't really keen on this move since I knew it was done sheerly to sell new products. But when I found out Drift made the cut I was jumping for joy. It's not that often that we get a fresh new edition to the live action robot cast who's a new edition to the comics. It was not that along ago that this character was introduced shortly after IDW's acquisition of the TF comics. Yeah I know that purist are gonna argue that he was featured way earlier during the the Armada series since the mini-con Dirt Boss was originally named Drift in the Japanese version.
