@@adrian-wg4tz I'm better at the wheel than most people on the classic controler... I can pull off literally every shortcut in the video except for shroomless BC3. I can easily do it with a shroom tho. Those are basic for online gameplay.
Man I just accepted that I suck at the game
The toads factory shroomless lake cut isn't actually that important. It doesn't save a whole lot of time even when you do it well. It's also difficult for beginners and hard to practice since you have to drive a full lap to attempt it.
A better shorcut to learn is the dk mountain ending turn skip. If that's too basic, though, some other options to learn are the dry dry ruins wall glitch and "ultra"
Dry dry ultra is annoying and wall glitch is actually a lot harder than one might think
@@adrian-wg4tz Dry dry ultra IS annoying, but it's quite useful for coming back with even just a triple shroom. Plus, the risk factor is small, unlike the lake cut, which makes it much more practical for online matches.
Yeah, the wall glitch is harder than it looks, I should have said "wall glitch *or* sand clip," but it's still more useful than the shroomless lake cut simply because of the risk factor
(though with how much easier it is to catch up on ddr than tf, you could argue the wall glitch is less important on ddr than lake cut is on tf, even though wall glitch is better than lake cut)
@@autumn4442For Magikruiser and Dolphin Dasher users, consider slightly delaying your mushroom usage if you want to play safe and combining the ultra with the regular off-road shortcut past the oasis.
I've already tried doing those shortcuts and was only able to perform a few of them within hours and hours of practice. They look so easy but they are brutal if you want to learn to use them in actual play
I was today years old when i found out you can play with the nunchuck and not just using the controller as a wheel. Mf I have been playing this game almost everyday since 2010

One of the hardest cut is the jimmy cut on Dk Summit where you don’t stop and lineup yourself, and hop frame perfectly when you land, it will give you a bounce recline to the left with full speed.

No one’s gonna mention the glitches in GCN Peach Beach, Mario Circuit, Coconut Mall, or N64 Sherbet Land here?

Its prolly faster to do that GBA BC3 shortcut on the 3rd gap but i always do it on the 4th one cuz its more consistent

yes all of these are possible with the wii remote, obviously just harder to do.

I tried the Mushroom Gorge gap jump and its impossible. I watched 5 tutorials (probbaly more) and still it dosnt work

Is it possible if you can go a wii remote demonstartion, i dont own a gamecube controller
Learn how to do some basic driving on Mario circuit like Timetrial them and beat the expert staff ghosts (ctgp certified staff ghosts that is cause Nintendo staff ghosts won’t get you anywhere) and once you get a feel for driving the tracks welll with fluidity and control then attempt to learn these shortcuts. I recommend that’s a good start and ask around in lounge like ask Alberto or any good wheeler to help you after you mastered simple driving in this game (like mini turbos and wheelies)

Quickly flick your stick to the opposite direction of your drift and then quickly back to your original drift direction :)
