  • Yes C is for Citra in case you were wondering although there is also Cascade and Columbus in this so that's that idea out the window. Still, the superhero here must be the citra right?
This is version 2 of this beer and it has an awful lot to live up to as v1 was stonking. That video is here if you haven't seen it: you'tu.be/7RDf10YbQ5Y?si=2ZHkvY4mbPcyagTx
Finally, v2 recipe is here if you want a look: share.brewfath...

Classic brew day fantastic. That colour is absolutely incredible and it sounds absolutely beautiful. May the successful brewing run continue cheers 👍🍻

The classic brew day, realising the water quantities are all wrong, standard approach for me 😂. Looks a great beer matey, lovely colour 🍺

Yep I made an arse of it for sure, the 6.3% hangovers are wicked too. Lovely beer but can't wait for that keg to kick 🤕

Sounds like a great beer Triple B, but don’t you EVER get rid of the pizza tray covered in foil! The only reason I keep coming back to this channel is the hope that pizza foil and whisk-zookie make an appearance. So this video had it all.
Something else I noticed was either:
A - you’ve bought a popcorn maker and you’re keeping it in your garage for some reason, or
B - it was pissing it down when you recorded this.
Knowing how lovely the weather always is in your parts my moneys on the popcorn maker.
Surprised to hear cascade is your fave hop now. I always thought it was galaxy.
    Anyway take care matey!

I always forget the whisk is smaller and will fall into the pot. Need to engineer some kind of holster to put it in on a brewday. I mean I have a load of duct tape....

Brew days Eh, who'd have em, always sent to try us but we solve the problems on the fly. Sounds like its come good and another good one on your hands. I'm just drinking a beer I made and its lovely yet filter came off, whisk went in, had to syphon out to fix filter then get back in. Efficiency well off, numbers everywhere but... (Spoiler) Think its the best beer I've brewed this year. Cheers BB

Tell you what, that beer has ruined me this weekend. I can't handle 6.3% any more. Tastes great but after 3 I'm gone. Think I had 5 last night and still feel wasted now.

Im always thinking about stuff. Your thick mash , was it too fine a crush? Beer looks great by the way. Yes you always give 100,,%. Do you add some yeast nutrient at 20 minutes and do you oxidation your wort before pitching? Great beer from your tasting comments.
So im guessing if you finished high then more sugars left behind dialing down the bitterness. And then there's salt addition in your mash to alter the flavor profile and help complete conversion. Im sounding like an absolute wanker here but what was your mash pH? Alot of these little things add up to resolving these wee problems. But at the end of the day, youve nade a great beer. Cheers and sorry lol 😎👍

Crush looked ok, was more the missing 3 litres of mash water. pH was 5.3 and all salts go in with the grain. I tend to give the fv a shake before pitching, it can be sealed closed so doesn't spill. I don't usually add yeast nutrient as I mainly use dry yeast however this was liquid and the one before. I might get some on my next order and try it out in a few brews to see what happens. Cheers Finn 👍
