Do you think the kindle scribe is worth it and which is your favourite Kindle? Drop a comment and let me know 😜
How is this comment posted 6 hour ago but the video only an hour ago? LOL
All New Kindle. Ergonomic Design and Affordable.
Can you make more book club videos please 🙏
Until they update the software to improve the note taking options, it’s not worth it.. I have one and I only use it to read, the stylus is rarely used.
Have it and love it. Huge screen means I have to turn pages less often. Works well for me including jotting quick notes while reading.
I appreciate this new meta where reviewers just tell you if its good or bad at the start, thanks Ali
This❤
He has been doing this for years now!
Came here just to say this.
How to say “I genuinely care about your productivity” without saying “I genuinely care about your productivity”.
MAJOR respect for this. Made me want to watch the whole video.
*People say that money is not the key to happiness, but I always figured if you have enough money, you can have a key made.*

Ali is literally the only CZcamsr where I don't need to play at 1.5x speed
Exactly 😂
He talks so fast! wow
I do ,however, sometimes I struggle 🤣
He is boosting the speed by 20%. If you're using the 0.75x in CZcams he talks normal
@@bogdanrc yeah I tried that
Here is my review:
I am the kind of person who needs to write down everything. Writing helps me think, brainstorm, design, keep track of things, etc. Naturally I became a person who burnt through paper and pens. My fav was blank sheets of A4 paper as clear paper allowed my thoughts to run wild. The downside was I had stacks and STACKS of paper lying around everywhere.
A few months ago my wife gifted me the Kindle Scribe. To say my life has changed would be an understatement. The transition to move from pen and paper to Kindle Scribe was as seamless as the integration between the Kindle app and the Scribe tablet. It feels so natural that I never missed pen and paper.
What stands out for me is that it's not a full tablet so no apps and distractions. I have multiple folders for work, personal, etc. It's light weight and easy to carry. Battery time is very impressive for my ADHD brain, and I love the fact that I don't have to charge the pen. That would have been a deal breaker for me.
If you write a lot, I can't recommend this product enough.
This is why I am curious about it. I have an ipad pro that I primarily use for drawing/art/graphic design. I also use it for general web surfing and personal use.
I am thinking I might like the kindle scribe because I love that my kindle paperwhite doesn't have all the extra apps and distractions on it. Even back when I had a kindle fire I only used it for reading and I kind of enjoy that degree of separation.
I just bought on for many of the same reasons. I have a pen for my phone which I really like....but there's so many other distractions on my mobile, that I often get distracted when trying to read etc (fellow ADHDer here). Hopefully I like the scribe as much as you do!
Thank you for leaving the overall assessment of your review at the BEGINNING of the video, rather than dragging us to the end as many channels do. I liked and subscribed; love the content.
Loved this review, well done. I actually love the size. The notes and highlights feature are the selling point for me. BTW, your book recommendation videos are an ESSENTIAL to my youtube watching. My next read is The Go-Giver and am very excited about it. Please keep them up!
It's great to see a thorough review that covers the device's features and limitations, and the reviewer's personal experience with it. It's always helpful to hear from someone who has actually used the product before making a purchase decision.
Jeeeeez you have nooo idea how much i appreciate this “upfront conclusion” method in your videos!!! I’m willing to pay for that!
As one who simply reads on a Kindle without much interest in its note-taking aspects, I love it. The big screen is like ready a hard cover book without the heft. It’s a ❤ from me.
I believe the Kindle Scribe is perfect for people who want simplicity. Not worry about getting distracted by jumping over to different apps. Just read and write. Just my thoughts.
Ahhhhh that's a great point!!!!
That’s such a good point! Also it’s good for people looking to just avoid eye strain after looking at an led screen for hours during work
Exactly why I decided to purchase one. My ADHD mind struggles with the self-discipline to not jump to other more "distracting" apps when I need to be reading or journalling. I only wish Amazon adds more features to the Scribe down the road (annotating in margins on epub files, adding sticky notes to pdf files, etc.)
It's this comment that made me buy the Scribe and I am sooooooo glad I did it! I am finishing books for the first time in life and I'm so grateful and happy. Thank you!
Exactly!
You had me with the upfront conclusion. I watched to see why. I look forward to the bell notifications for future videos.
I love that you’re always upfront about the conclusion! I love your videos so either way, I’ll watch. It’s always interesting to see how you come to your conclusions!
What a great review!! I was thinking of getting this for my mum’s birthday but I think I’ll stick to other standard versions (sure she’s not fussed about the writing experience). Thank you! One of the only reviewers I trust🙏🏾
love the upfront review. love your videos!!
Bro your channel is truly one of the best on youtube right now for me. One of the only ones that can cram helpful information into my brain while at the same time keeping me completely and utterly entertained. Keep up the good work, and ill keep the views coming...lol
Thanks for the upfront conclusion. You answered exactly the questions I was looking an answer for.
I liked and subscribed just because you offered your conclusion at the beginning. Very respectful. Thank you. Yes, I watched the whole video.
Thanks Ali , I appreciate the heads up. I wish more reviewers did this.
I have the kindle scribe and honestly I would say the one type of person it’s useful for is students. The note taking is really great, and while the reading experience isn’t great when holding it, you’ll probably have it on a desk anyways. Also, you might be able to buy some textbooks for much cheaper than a physical copy.
I love your review and it is helpful for people who are considering buying it or not! Thanks! It would be so helpful if you can do a video about your reading eco system, like how you read and take notes productively to remember what you read or for further use :)
I bought the paperwhite this past Christmas thanks to your recommendation Ali! Have enjoyed it a lot so far
I am watching the whole video now and I’m glad I did. I already have the kindle scribe and I am looking at reviews, mainly to see what others are saying about the scribe. I love my scribe I’ve thought about getting one for awhile when it came out. (I waited a few weeks and saved up for it). VERY expensive but I love it over my oasis
Love the upfront conclusion
great product review video Ali's style. Love the energy and honesty 👍
Hello Sushee
I appreciate the conclusion up front. I kept watching for a couple minutes to help out with watch time, but that's all I needed.
I really appreciate you giving your conclusion at the beginning!!
I gotta say i was blown away by how you gave the upfront review and that was that. Incredable work
I think I may still buy. You previously said Kindle Oasis wasn’t worth it, but for me, the extra page size and physical page turning buttons made a huge difference versus the paper white. Thanks for going into your reasons, though, still a helpful review
I love physical buttons on the Oasis. Too bad this doesnt have any.
I love you for the quick conclusion at the start...
your upfront conclusion is the best thing in CZcams.
Thank you for the quick points in the beginning of the video.
I really appreciate the upfront conclusion. Because it follows the idea of productivity. If you really want to know about the product, you will check the video eventually. I really like my kindle; not only I can read a lot of books, but also mangas and web novels too 🥰🥰🥰I finally bought my kindle after watching your videos and it was the best decision ever. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Subscribed just at 1:10 !!
Thank you for keeping it short crisp and clear
Great review like always bro! Hope you can keep these tech reviews coming.
Great review, thanks for review. I definitely agree on how life changer the Kindle paperwhite is, since I've been using it for the past four years.
Thanks for the upfront conclusion!! Very considerate, very specific.
Thank you so much for the well prepared video, it answered many questions!
This video helped me decide between the Scribe and Paperwhite, thanks!
Totally agree that for most people, this device isn't worth it. I hope they release some software updates to make it more attractive. Just FYI, you *can* take notes and mark-up books while you read, they just have to be sent to your Kindle in PDF format. Mark-up doesn't work with books you buy directly from the Kindle store, which is quite annoying.
Totally agree
You’re amazing. Thank you for the upfront conclusion 🎉
Thank you for showing it works for lefthanded
Thank you for your up front honesty and quick review
It's good to work with, i love the bigger screen !
Thanks for the upfront conclusion. A breath of fresh air.
Great review. I love my Kindle Scribe it works perfect for me. Although I have both the Kindle Scribe and iPad Pro I seem to gravitate more towards my Kindle Scribe for notes. The reading experience is better on Scribe in my opinion.
Probably because of less distractions, I'm the same haha
Also battery life. That is huge IMO
Thanks for the Upfront Conclusion-I wish everyone did that!
Really appreciate the no-nonsense and unbiased review format.
thanks for bringing the conclusion within the first minutes
Thank you SO MUCH for the upfront conclusion! Every creator needs to do that!
So noble of you to give the Upfront Conclusion - like Curtis Judd with his reviews 🙂 Actually you just reminded me of the fact that the Kindle Peperwhite was on my wishlist, I'd still rather have that one. At the same time, a gadget freak as I am, I can might as well use my old iPad mini for the reading of my Kindle stuff. And it's quite small, still works.. Oh God, and that pen-flipping again Mr. Ali, haha, it's killin' me..0
I appreciate what kindle done so far. Still waiting for a kindle paperwhite with handwriting note features. So right now the best setup is having paperwhite near the bed and Ipad mini when going out.
Thanks for honest and detailed review !
i like your intro about not wasting your viewers time :)
I literally watched the whole video just because of that XD !
great one
Whoa! I like the way you twirled the pen with your fingers also great review!
i might be one of the few people this is perfect for tbh. im in academia as a career so i take notes on most of my books, and i also like to physically write out most of my writing, and physical notebooks are starting to overtake my workspace. to have a place to keep my notebooks digitally while still giving me the paper experience is fantastic
I ordered this not paying attention to the measurements, and was surprised by the size of it. Going to try it out. ❤
Nice review! Miss those Tech Club videos a lot!
I LOVE THE new DIY ali abdaal
Never would’ve thought about this product but very interesting!
This is really great and thoughtful content, in the way you present it and let us browse it. Very neurodivergent friendly. Thank you.
I’d love to see your thoughts on an e-ink Android tablets like the Boox Note Air 2 Plus! I do enjoy my iPad Mini & Apple Pencil, but the battery longevity of e-ink devices really appeals to me.
I appreciate this format of review, I'm on my way out within the 1st minute but I did like the video 😅
I appreciate that!
Thanks for the review.
I’m really they to learn how to do that pen twist with you hand. Lol.
I do have an iPad but it’s just so much easier when outside to read with an e-ink reader. I also love taking notes when I read. I also find myself if I try to read on my iPad I get too distracted with everything else on there.
Thank you because I was considering it but was hesitant
I’m still hesitant
This is the first video where I’m not annoyed by the “please leave a like” stuff. I really appreciate the upfront conclusion. Even though I enjoyed watching further. It’s such a nice gesture! Thanks for valuing somebody’s time! :)
amazing review thank you!
Loved it, thank you. what Ipad would you choose for reading and do other things but not that much..
It has a great potentioal for all educational books with this size!
I've been contemplating. You've helped me decide, I'm not getting the kindle scribe. I hope they come up with a writing option for the smaller 6.8" screen. Don't wanna sacrafice the ability to read
Meticulous review Ali! Would you suggest this mediatek backed Amazon device as my first kindle?
Thanks for telling us whether it's good or bad at the start. Liked immediately and stayed to watch anyway.
Same 😅
So helpful, thank you!
There’s more that meets the eye to this and you know it. The power to write it incredible.
damn always unbiased. if i had the choice to buy then i would definitely go with supernote a5x instead
Thanks sir... Genuinely 😊
Thanks for the review
Super helpful!
I wonder if following the updates received in Feb, Apr and May 2923 whether the updated functionality may mean you reconsider the product now. I would be interested as always in your thoughts.
Fair play having an executive summary, much appreciated. Still watched the whole thing anyway, but nice touch.
Thanks for the great review! Then I would definitely recommend the BOOX e-ink tablet with android built-in and allows you to do all sorts of things! Can’t wait to see your in-depth review in the future!
Great video. Sorry if I've missed this, but can you comment on battery life? That's one excellent feature of my old Kindle... I have several models, but I prefer one of the older ones, and the battery life is awesome.
Incredible review!
thank you very much, your video helped me a lot)
This was perfect thank you
Hey Ali Can you please let me know what glasses you wear? love the frames
Will still watch even with upfront conclusion:)
Same here😅
I use the 1st gen iPad mini to read books cause its super light and have the brightness super low and there an accessibility shortcut to make it ever lower and I use that at night to not strain my eyes.
Very helpful. Thank you
I use goodnotes with my iPad Pro and it works just fine.
Hey Ali, Can you please upload a list of all the kindle books you own.
Thanks I'll go for the new paper weight
I want you to compare and share insights on 'reading' on Kindle and Audible.
The biggest reason why I want to buy a Kindle Scribe is that i can not only read PDF files much better on it with the larger screen, but leave notes directly on the PDF (can be anywhere including that margin). Other kindle models’ PDF reading experience is quite bad because the fonts are generally too small and hard to read. On iPad PDF reading is fine, but much less comfortable without e-link.
Ali's getting some life-changing productivity notes from Twilight, I'm sure! 😉
I got Kindle Paperwhite as a gift and I am loving it. I'm sure that this $100 product will give me returns in Millions.
I've never had a Kindle. I am old school and feel a NEED to have paper and pencil. But I simply can't buy anymore books. I have no more room. I do a lot of research for work... my boss gifted me the Scribe for my birthday! So here I am watching videos on how even basic Kindles work and then this... I do think I will begin reading more, simply because I will get library books through Libby. And some of the out-of-print books I can't afford may be accessible to me now. I also DO scribble all OVER my paper books, as writing is the only way certain information absorbs into my brain. I'm excited to see how this contraption fits in with my work and research. Your video made me feel ready to unbox it, finally.
I didn’t need the whole review but I appreciated the upfront conclusion so much that I stayed
Same
The sheer fact that a youtuber of this size does something like this honest "upfront conclusion" without any hooks attachet causes me to run the video through to the end. simply as a matter of principle
