Thank you for your supportive advice. My 4th grader daughter will start unschooling from this fall. I am Korean and speak limited English. I've been living this country for 15 years. My concern is that is it ok to unschool my daughter? How can I raise my kid in this country without exposing English environment. I am so worried that unschooling option doesn't fit for my situation.
Please give me an advice.
It's unlikely that you'll stay home 100% of the time. She'll have others to talk with, make friends in the community, watch television and use the internet - and all of that will give her exposure to the English language.
I think it will be a wonderful bilingual experience!
how do you do your annual evaluation?
Many states don’t have annual evaluations. Bit for those that do, unschooling parents identify the subjects that weave through everyday life. I help families see this, when it’s a struggle initially.
How could I get my spouse on board with unschooling? Are there resources for this?
