Previously, we tried the amazing food combinations of Korean BBQ with Soju, and Korean Chicken with beer. And today we introduce them to Jeon and Makgeolli!

I'll spam it again, I'd like an episode with ALL of your guests in one place at the same time! Crossover of all the series in the UK. Cab drivers, footballers, rappers, priests, army men, students, all that you can muster.

It need not be a restaurant...it could be an outside space with people from restaurants that are promoting...e.g. that owner who mixed Buvna's drinks. Okay it might possibly be difficult but if anyone can do it it's these guys and anything they give us towards that would be really fun!
I read this as "Cab drivers, footballers, rappers, pirates..." lol but yes, that would be so fun if they could bring some of the groups together! Esp the rappers and the students, they were so fun

Only Korean Englishman could take a picky eater and make him fall in love with an international dish. You just know he's gonna go to a Korean restaurant now and eat all the possible types of Jeon. Thats what makes this channel amazing. You can make even the most apprehensive people willing to try something and then fall in love to the point of seeking out more for themselves.

Even my family and friend who are not so open and accepting of different cultures are weak to Korean food. Tempt them with a good Korean restaurant and even the most socially awkward friend of mine would be willing to go out 😤✨
@@rin__ I dont think its just the food. Regardless of how good the food may be you have to convince people to try it first. Even if the food is good someone that psychs themselves out about the food can still hate it even if its good. The enthusiasm of the people involved in this channel is infectious. They create an atmosphere that is light and fun and doesnt make trying something new a daunting experience. I think a lot of 'trying *blank* food' videos are about getting a negative reaction. Korean Englishman aims for a positive reaction and creates and environment to allow that to happen.

Just saying though, I hope you didn't conclude my comment as a statement disregarding the team's hardwork because that's not what I meant 🤣 What I meant was that Korean food itself may also be a contributing factor to getting a picky eater's attention and fondness of its food.
I have convinced my friends to try other food from other countries as well and they did. But none of them asked for it anymore because they weren't a fan of its tastes. I didn't put much hardwork and a welcoming atmosphere as good as the KE team do when introducing them to Korean food, but they instantly loved it and kept asking for more.
I do agree that Josh, Ollie, and the team did well to bring people to like Korean food. But I think we shouldn't forget that the food itself, the culture, the origin are also the reason why all this is happening 💞

Sometimes a picky eater is just someone whose taste doesn't fit the cooking of where he lives, because some foods are cooked in a certain way that makes it unappetizing to said person but cooked in another way (as in a different culture) would make it tasty.
I had kimchi jeon and dongdongju for dinner last night. It was unreal. This also looks fantastic :)

It's a little easier now since they do have more fame, but they go through candidates. You should watch one of his first videos in like 2013 or something like that when he was going around London interviewing people about kimchi. So many rude people and cussing at Josh. It was horrible.

영국남자 방송이 참 좋은 이유는..메뉴이름을 한국이름으로 먼저 알려주고 나서 설명해줘서 좋아요..옛날에는 궂이 어렵게 영어로 해석해서 말할때가 많았는데

한국어 그대로 단어를 알려주는게 맞다는 의견에는 동의하고 저도 항상 한국어로 알려주는데요. 다만 내가 좋아하는 맛과 문화의 즐거움을 같이 누리는 측면으로 보셔야지. 국가가 나오고 국가의 대리인처럼 댓글 다시면 외국인들이 보면 부담스럽지 않을까요. 애초에 국가를 넘어섰기 때문에 이렇게 외국인들 댓글이 계속 많아지고 있는데 말이죠.

@진로 먼저 막걸리는 막 걸려서 먹는 술이라는 뜻으로 저렴하게 먹는 술입니다. 동네 막걸리집에서 바가지에 받아오면 옹기종기 모여서 그릇으로 막 떠먹었던 게 전통이거든요. 지금처럼 포장 되어서 격차리고 먹는 술과는 거리가 멀었고요. 사기니 놋그릇이니 떠먹는 그릇이 따로 있었던게 아니라 막그릇에 먹었고요. 막그릇이라는 게 따로 있는게 아니라 간단히 말하면 손에 집히는대로 아무 그릇이나 쓴다는 의미에요. 밥그릇으로도 떠먹고 대접으로 떠먹기도 하고 컵으로 떠먹기도 하는 겁니다. 다용도로 쓸 수 있는 저렴한 그릇이 손에 잡히는 겁니다. 그렇게 싸게 돌려쓰던 그릇에 정착을 한 게 바로 저 양은 그릇이에요.
그럼 그릇모양이 왜 저럴까요? 이미 말씀드렸지만 부어서 먹는 술이 아니라 떠먹는 술이다 보니 술에 손을 담그지 않도록 깊이가 얕고 손잡이가 저런 거에요. 괜히 저런 그릇에 정착하는게 아니에요. 다 이유가 있는 겁니다. 이런 게 전통이 만들어지는 방식입니다. 막걸이가 어떤 술인지 모르시니 이런 댓글을 다신 겁니다.

@진로 무슨 소리를 하세요. 막걸리 이름에서부터 어떤 술인지 나와 있잖아요. 막 걸려서 받아 먹는 술이라는 뜻입니다. 저렴하게 먹던 민속을 상징하는 술이에요. 문화상대주의 떠드는 건 좋은데 뭘 좀 알고 이야기 하세요. 모르면 알려주면 듣기라도 해야지 고집만 더럽게 쎄군요.

한국 사람들은 음식 조합을 중요하게 생각해요
제가 늘 영상보면서 한국의 여러가지 음식 조합을 알렸으면 하는 생각입니다 ㅠㅜㅠㅜㅠㅜㅜㅜㅜ
조시는 정말 애국자에요. 문체부에서 한국 K-Food 홍보대사 임명과 포상을 꼭 해주어야 합니다. 한국의 음식맛을 유쾌하고 긍정적으로 아주아두 잘 전파하고 있으니까요~~
영국 남자가 특히 잘하는게 '조합'으로 한국 음식을 소개해야 된다는 걸 너무 잘 알고 있음.
예를 들어 막걸리를 소개하는데, 한국인들도 막걸리만 마시는 일이 적은데 막걸리만 마시라고 해서 50%만 느끼게 하지 않고, 한국인들이 즐기는 방식으로 그대로 전달하니 훨씬 잘 소개 될둣
그렇죠~.
삼겹살에 쌈장, 쌈, 된장찌개 등등도 그렇고
치킨에 맥주(카스, 테라 등등)도 그렇고
소개하는 방법 제대로인듯!
전 영국남자 팀이 진짜 생각이 좋다고 느끼는게
솔직히 막걸리를 외국 분들에게 소개한다고 하면 맛없게 느껴질까봐 걱정되는 부분이 있는데
최대한 맛있는 조합으로 맛보게 하는 그 노력과 센스가 진짜 대단한거 같아요 아무리 한국에 익숙하시다고 하지만 그래도 외국인 분이신데!
뭔가 최대한으로 한국음식을 맛있고 익숙하게 소개하려는 노력이 너무 느껴져서 보는 내내 웃음이 끊이질 않았습니다!

I just figured that I liked it cuz I grew up with it.

Gosh, I loveeeee watching you introduce n feed Korean food to people from all walks of life in the UK. British humour is always my fav. I was laughing with y'all the whole time. Thoroughly enjoyed their reaction everytime they take a fresh bite of the variants. My two black dudes reaction were absolutely fantastic. They always go into ad mode when they love certain food and I just love that so much haha.

전은 어디서 만들었건 평균적으로 좋아하는 편인데.. 이게 사실 별거 없어 보여도
정말 맛있게 만드는 집은 아무리 배가 불러도 젓가락질을 멈출 수가 없을 정도로 맛있고
배가 고파서 전을 집어 들었는데 몇 점 못 먹고 질려서 젓가락을 놓게 만들 수도 있는 요리 실력에 따라 차이가 큰 음식입니다.
