  • Hi guys just a quick video I decided to put up discussing the insides of a 200ah itechworld lithium battery.
Link to the 24v system I built using them below:

One advantage of having small cylindrical cells over few large prismatic cells is that if one or two cells fail, the overall capacity of the entire system will be drastically reduced.

188Ah is disappointing after such a short time and minimal usage, iTech charge a premium for their batteries, even a basic 3000 cycle DOD to 80% will see it lasting over 8 years with full discharge / charge every day, there are a lot of competition out there now using EVE prismatic at better prices, Hardkorr also use cylindrical cells, you said you used to use it, did you change to another brand or DIY now ?

yeh i agree it was a little disapointing seeing only 188ah. I mIght test my other one aswell and see what that one comes out as. Yeh i think prismatic is the way to go. I was using 2 of them in series in the back of my ute in a 24v setup with a 3000w inverter, i was doing a lot of travelling but not so much now. But yeh I would mostly go the DIY route now, being a lot cheaper. I built that 13kw/h 48v battery for 1800 bucks to run my house from.

Why is the video choppy and jumpy?

Thay don,t have more output them prismatic cells , cheap is why they use them profit , prismatic cells can out put huge amounts of current
