When a business entity shuts down , one most probable reason is Losses .
Mainstream media in the PH is not so patronized by the people nowadays .
PURO MASKING LANG KASI PURO COVER UP PAG HINDI PAPABOR SA MANOK NILA NA HAWAK SA LEEG NG BOSS NILA xD
That’s good
CNN 2 years ago shut down their CNN plus streaming service. This isn't local. They seem to be getting significant losses in Revenue.
@@santiagojrbaluyot7869 didn't CNN PH 🇵🇭 retrench a few hundred people pre pandemic? I seem to remember the news. Or was that Rappler?
@@santiagojrbaluyot7869 yes they are a thing of the past.. like dinosaurs & newspapers too.
This is noted. Probably just the shifting sands of how people want to consume their media. These days you can really do away with TV and just rely on your phone, with good connection of course. So I guess that's where the revenue stream is these days.
BRING BACK RPN-9 BRAND!
BRING BACK RPN NEWSWATCH!
Bring back the clock 😂
The news program will probably go on, with a rebranding back to the original RPN9 Newswatch.
Nope, there are zero English newscasts on RPTV.
Karma?... Pero sayang
From what? 😂
@@notforurentertainmentpuro fake new😂.. American media eh

I’m glad we still have ANC in Philippines 🇵🇭
It will soon stop airing soon 😢😢😢
@@jkigtehuioropsdfjoaw Oh No, the Only English Channel I love ANC and CNN 🥲, I sometimes not even skipped the adds
They are also in questionable status. Sky Cable is being axed so where will they show ANC now? That is the in house news channels of the Lopezes but only for cable.
Shady☂️☂️☂️☂️
@@jkigtehuioropsdfjoawGood. I've long considered ANC the world's most boring news channel. Since I was probably still in highschool in the late 90s 😂
Finally. I'm glad.
Oh why. 😢
Because its not economically viable. Most of the news is made by independent news sites that doesn't need to pay much overhead.
We don't need news how about that
#RIPCNNPhilippines #CNNPhilippinesForever signing off
karma hits hard...😂😂😂
I love CNN the only English Channel I love … Hopefully ang ANC will stay 🙏
New Vision 9: The Future
RPN is back.
It's now RPTV Channel 9
Building Bridges sa RPTV 9, CNN Philippines logo got blurred and covered with TV5’s MTRCB PG.

So many happens in the past few years that made the Filipino distrust the media
R.I.P CNN Philippines (2015-2024)
Not surprising. Their sole sponsor is San Miguel.
I get my news on the internet, not on news from mainstream media.

In Pacific country Palau, there are no analog or digital TV stations in their country. Only have Digital Cable (they also used analog cable tv before), also AM/FM radio stations.
In the Bahamas, they only have single digital TV station (ATSC) ZNS-DT channel 13. But they also have more AM/FM radio stations, Digital Cable TV boxes with subscription.
They're not doing something different to be patronized. So this losses is something they can't escape from. And this also shows how the foreign funding on local news is being filtered which is a result of more strict law enforcement.
Now na 😅
ABS CBN NEXT
Yes? 😀👍
I think part of the reasons why CNN Philippines is closing is because they didn't have a concrete platform. What I mean by that is, were they an English only news network or Filipino? What they were doing was a little bit of both which confused or turned off people. Most of the time they used TagLish which I guess was appealing to youngsters but the general population wasn't having it.
And also I noticed, one of the anchors Pinky Webb was always smiling during her starting monologue on her own news program and almost all the way through the end of her show even if the topic was considered a national crisis. It didn't make sense. HER gesture didn't make sense. Same with their male anchor Rico Hizon, always smiling no matter what the news was.
Mike Enriquez (rip) was always smiling so what's your point? 😂

Kaya nga haha 😂
Ano ba yang cnn?
CNN - Cable News Network Philippines. 24 hours sa Cable TV including Cignal, 15 hours sa over the air broadcasting ng RPN.
Teka paano yung TV5 deal ng PBA at Eat Bulaga
They wont likely be affected, since deal yun ng TV5 and Nine Media and it has nothing to do with the CNN Branding
Di yan maapektuhan, PBA and EB will Air on Channel 9 under a different name
@@bluewave5Building Bridges from CNN Philippines still air on channel 9 but blurred with CNN Philippines logo with TV5’s MTRCB PG.
Good. Woke did not work in PH.
It's a pity that another truthful media is closing down. Not to mention the predicaments of its employees.
Calling on Chief Enrique Razon, one of the few honest billionaires, please help.

Not sure how you can say the communist news network is "truthful". Theres a reason why they are shutting down here and why theyre ratings in the US is in the toilet.

Wikang Tagalog news ni Pinky Webb and Pia Hontiveros
That's sad. English is still one of the official languages of the Philippine government.
The Philippines also used to be among the countries with the highest percentage of English -speaking populations.
CNN Philippines no longer exists, the only CNN television station in Southeast Asia that still exists is CNN Indonesia
CNN Philippines, the Philippines' no. 1 news channel...
20 kl of rice budol😂😂😂😂😂
Good one.. A bias news
They were not balanced especially against the administration. I mean its ok to not like the administration but don't make it too obvious. Remember first and foremost a news should be that, NEWS. Don't include opinions when delivering the NEWS. And also its still a business. The administration is still popular, so in that regard expect loss viewership.
Galit ka ba dahil people are critical of the admin...to be honest...its not just News agencies who should be critical of government - ALL OF US SHOULD!...They are our PUBLIC SERVANTS...they answer to ALL FILIPINOS.
Bakit kayo pa ang nagsara dapat ang SMNI
God of the Universe kasi pumopondo sa SMNI.

RPN 9 and IBC 13 used to air entertainment programs during Martial Law and even after EDSA Revolution, until blocktimers from the Government and even Solar destroyed their entertainment industry. Back in 2020 during the pandemic, IBC aired DepEd TV alongside Solar Learning, GMA DTV Subchannel, and BEAM 31 until 2022.
And don't forget TV5 on 2018, despite being a private media, during the ESPN 5 block when they don't air local entertainment programs they used to until Q4 2019 when they started to air reruns after phasing out ESPN 5 on the flagship channel and decided not to renew its contract with ESPN on 2020 anymore.
Nowadays, the entertainment programs aired on IBC 13 were Genius Teens (series break), Talents Academy, and Chinese programs under Chinatown TV like Ang Alamat ng Silk Road: Ang Larawan ng Dagat while RPN airing TV5's entertainment programs like Eat Bulaga! by TVJ Productions, after 35 years since it was aired on RPN 9 under TAPE Inc.
