Thanks Maria. I actually recently got one with the fine metal applicator. You resolved the problem of the liquid rushing out ( capillary action) by applying the needle on its side! Thank you -one less problem.

Thanx a lot, Maria. I started using masking fluid more when I started learning from you. And I found out how it works best for me. I am using metal applicator from my drawing set. Actually I don't know what is it for :)) And I think I saw it in one of your classes. This is the best way for me.

Great tips. .But which masking fluid..?..do you use..To fill it with..!?
As seems very liquid. Mine similar type came full of blue liquid.ok at 1st... But it became very thick. & wouldn't flow out. ! But your liquid. Look better fluid. ?.or any tips to make it thinner again..As it became unusable..thanks Maria..😁
Hi Ruby, thank you 🌹🤗here's a great tip: if your masking is too thick - add water to it, it will be much easier to apply it and it will dry faster!
I use the blue one by Holbein.

Hi, thanks for your video, l've fineart applicator. But i'm not sure to use every brand masking fluid to avoid the clogging. Is it necessary a special liquid to be wash washable to clean the applicator easily...

What is a good substitute for Caput violet?
Great tips, I made the same mistake when I first used this product - mine is a Sennelier product, which comes full with a light blue/green colour masking fluid, but the bottle is the same type.
Recently, I've noticed it looks discoloured inside the bottle and I often have to clean the fine metal tube.
Thank you for sharing Mark. I have the Sennelier one too. Actually the tip wasn't working for me, it came broken from Amazon, so I ended up using it differently just with a ruling pen. If the liquid is discolored inside the bottle, maybe it's just too old?

My question is how do you fill up the bottle since the opening is so small without spilling and not making a big mess. I'm accident prone so with my luck I would end up dumping the masking fluid everywhere but in the applicator bottle lol
lol Sydney, you can unscrew the white cap part from the bottle, so you don't pour the liquid through the 'blue part' of the bottle, its actually very easy 🤗🌹
@@mariamorjane of course I knew that....even with the cap screwed off is small though ...especially compared to the opening to the incredible white masking fluid bottle
