NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming has created an incredible foundation for me in my pursuit of mastering my life, which is why I teach it in my self improvement trainings and apply it when I do life coaching or help people with their businesses. NLP is a powerful model that will help you accelerate your results.
Ever wonder where Tony Robbins got his understandings of human behavior and influence? NLP was a major part of his education as a self improvement guru.

I have the concept of "Instant Karma," which is that the negative behaviour, such as manipulation, abuse, etc, IS the payback.

Another great video, Damon! I learn so much especially with repeated viewings. It's fascinating to discuss meta-programs through meta programs. For example, suggesting "moving away" from "moving away from" and considering "procedures" as an option to "options" (or a procedure of focusing on procedure before options). ;) I was ready for my head to explode by the time you started explaining how mismatching can be a way to match a mismatcher's thinking. :) Thanks again for always giving us provocative things to think about!

Damon I’ve created a sales process that gets 0 objections and none of the sales people I’ve shown seem to understand why it works. I know it’s a strange ask but if there’s anyway I could have a 5 minute talk to explain it and get feedback from someone doing NLP at your level it would help a lot.
I’ve shown people who make millions of dollars a year and they contribute to discredit it even though it works every time and I get 0 objections on sales calls and would love to show you the idea. It’s brief and easy to explain and it would bring me sanity having a verified expert validate from some angel why it works. I mean I literally get 0 objections on sales calls.
Let me know if there’s a way I can reach out would love to just talk shop. Was show to you by a fellow entrepreneur who takes one of your courses and I figured you’re one of the few people who can explain why this method has been working so well for me.

So if I object to having a five minute conversation with you, does that mean your sales process now has at least one objection?

@@DamonCart that is hilarious. 😂 how would it mean then if this isn’t apart of said sales process?
I mean if not that’s alright I’m not entitled to anyone’s time just figured you liking this subject might help you piece yet another edge of the puzzle together in your journey lol

Sorry to go overboard with comments (this is a topic I have found EXTREMELY valuable over the years). One of the challenges with thinking about meta programs in my experience is the challenge of using language to describe language. One consideration is to encourage thinking about processes vs. (personality) "traits." When someone says they are a "visual person," a "mismatcher" or a "moving towards" thinker, the processes of visualizing, mismatching and moving towards are reinforced as one's identity rather than behaviors. Givng the implications for these distinctions in the Self Concept Model, I would love to hear your perspective.

That's a great observation. Any typing of oneself is a way of categorizing, which is what the Self-Concept Model is based on.

I would love to hear your thoughts on different ways to think about representational systems, This concept is often conflated with external sensory systems and "learning styles." Representational systems are ALWAYS internal - that is one of the primary benefits of the concept in my experience. Unlike the presentation of information through external sensory channels, representational systems are how we RE-present information internally. (Although Bandler suggested we can "exteriorize" representations in 3-D space as a core skill for DesignHuman Engineering). I appreciate the work you share with all of us and look forward to your thoughts.

It's always internal in the sense that you are the source of the representations and anything external is a projection of your internal representations.

I don't remember whether it was Wayne Dyer or the NLP course I went to 20 years ago, but they told me that the reason why you focus on what you want instead of what you don't want is because your subconscious doesn't know the difference it just focuses on what you're thinking about, that may be why Brian Tracy keeps saying over and over again, "NEVER think about things that scare you or things that you are afraid might happen".

Your unconscious is drawn toward clarity and moves away from confusion and chaos. Fear is a focus, a focus on what you don't want. The more you focus on something, the more clear you are about it. If you focus on what you don't want, your unconscious will move you toward it. Know what you don't want, but focus your attention on what you do want and your unconscious will take you there.

    Damon,
I went to the hospital right after the Zoom event. Because I'm still in the hospital, I haven't been able to cancel the subscription myself. You can help me out, can't you? I'm not working, I can't afford it. It's important to me to address this issue quickly. I had a stroke about 4 and 1/2 months ago on my left side. The right side of my head keeps swelling up on me, and I've been having severe bouts of confusion and can't even see clients. I can't return to my job at the metal shop, so I don't know what to do now. I've never been in this kind of situation before. I'm hoping you can help me by canceling my subscription because I've been too confused to cancel it on the website. I've been writing this message for over a week when I'm at my best. Nathaniel may have already informed you of my request. I appreciate your understanding of the situation.

Sorry to hear about what you're going through.
I don't handle these administrative tasks. I checked into for you though and it's all been taken care of already. You haven't been charged anything. In the future, email support@selfconcept.com instead of commenting here.

I appreciate all the content you put out, but honestly it’s all very confusing. I have watched so many of your videos but it is overwhelming. I would consider the paid coaching but can’t tell if it would be useful because there is so much info and I can’t tell how to actually utilize it-Self-concept theory and so many techniques. It’s like drinking from a fire hose. I signed up for the free 4-part video introduction but have to wait day by day which makes my ADHD brain very scattered . I have the time now to watch it but am being forced to fragment. I’m definitely not trying to complain or be ungrateful for the content, but I’m on the verge of giving up from lack of clarity about it all

Yes, there is a lot to learn. This is why a long, structured training with a community is the best way to learn.
