Dehya performing even worse than amber and qiqi in a whale nuke showcase isn't only embarrassing for this unit and not only she performs worse in survivability than literally any healer and shielder in the entire game but in the next patch, she gets an artifact set that is only 1% better than emblem is just really the most hoyoverse moment of all time
the bar is so low right now, i can feel myself laughing maniacally when my friends are visibly trying their best to not be mean to dehya for fuck's reasons and the best they can come up with was mid
fun fact: the Genshin subreddit is constantly finding new bugs involving Dehya. they found 2 in the last 24 hours. one of them cancels her E completely if she gets staggered during the windup animation.

Funny fact: Playing Dehya at Coop with her defensive utility. You're basically dead all the time because people at Coop usually just face tank everything.
Funny fact: Playing Coop with Dehya then you're basically instant dead anyway because Dehya mains really love to pick up her circle and use her burst to do 5000 dmg per punch. I would just let my character die intentionally and alt+tab to watch Netflix every time I see Dehya in coop.
How are you dying playing Dehya in co-op? At the start, you double tap E. You now take only 40% of the redirected damage. 6s later, you burst. Post burst, you again take only 40% of the redirected damage. And you heal every 20s. I've died 1x in co-op with her, and that's because I wound up juggled in a corner for some reason. Now, for your teammates, it does suck a bit. But that is kind of on them. She's not a healer. They'll take damage. Less damage, but damage. And at any point, you could pick up the circle, or it enters that 8s cooldown for those without C2. Or they'll chase a mob outside of it. That's why they should have the MRE, and they can dodge and such, exactly like they would do in the plethora of teams without a healer. Which they should do with Dehya on the team, when the almight defensive ability you offer is to... redirect less than half the damage (because, really, how many Dehyas have 10+ Elemental Skill?). So, basically, to paraphrase a common thing said by MMO healers, "You can't redirect stupid." Dehya makes life safer, but that's different than making life safe.
@@Axterix13 i will say, dehya's mitigation very clearly wasn't designed for co-op. if everyone (including dehya) is out and takes the same big hit, dehya is gonna die, cause she's essentially taking 1.5+ times the damage
Thanks to being a Dehya main I discovered a secret hidden 8th stage of grief: *INSANITY* Now every time people discover a new bug ( they do almost every day!) I just laugh maniacally and go to farm emblem so my Dehya can become MID one day! (it won't happen)😎
What's funny to me is that the majority of the player base is casual and most people don't usually min-max builds and go the extra mile to optimize builds. Until now it hasn't been a problem because the past characters have been strong and fun enough to play casually and kill everything in the game. Now with Deyha, even speedrunners and theory crafters have to put so much investment and work into making Deyha work (and even then her best is worse than Xiangling teams), that even casual players can tell that Deyha is bad.
@@darylewalker6862 hey i resemble that remark. i'm brand new to this game, i didn't swipe i just used free premos, never expecting to hit on the hot kitty momma with like my 3rd ten pull, only to wonder why i would rather use amber, my air MC, barbara and the electric girl you get for free... played another week, kitty momma sitting on the sideline, while my roster increases, pulled bennett on the kitty banner a few times, he's now my main, got Xiangling out of the abyss, pulled the nun ice girl, and qiqi, so that's my team now... hot kitty momma seems like a waste sitting in the roster, but even as a n00b i can't make heads or tails of her and how to use her. that brought me here to figure it out. glad to learn i shouldn't spend money on the banners. looks like xiangling and bennett are all i really need. still using my free pulls on kitty momma's banner, but only really looking for bennett right now.
@@arizona_anime_fan I managed to make Dehya somewhat working in a dumb reaction team.. but you need at least Dendro Traveler + Fischl + Xingqiu to make it works... or it's premium variation if you have it like me (Raiden, Nahida, Yelan) Basically just spam reaction like idiot.. bring the disco out, never bore your enemy by burning, blooming, burgeon, vapor, overload, overcharge, quicken, and hyperbloom them to death. Like seriously I literally have no idea of what reaction is happening at any given time it's basically RNG fest. Note that Burning and overcharge will not remove the pyro and hydro infusion respectively...
The funniest/saddest part of Dehya is that you can blatantly see how Mihoyo didn’t give a single shit about her. Not only did the nerf her when she was already not great, then just tossed her to the standard banner, but the fact they didn’t notice the issue with her AA chain. People are saying “Dehya is fine you all are just meta shills”, but what other character can’t complete their auto attack because the knockback prevents them from following up. People always say “waifu/husbando over meta”, and Mihoyo decided to test everyone’s resolve to that statement.

Just FYI her auto attack chain doesn't have as much knockback as what was shown in her trailer, for some reason. In game all of her attacks do connect even against lighter enemies

Kazuha is a better comparison since you just need a pyro teammate (doesn't have to be Bennett) to swirl pyro with his ult. Xiangling is still better overall

@@lostblueboy my opinion about doom posters. it's usually better to expect the least out of a unit than to pretend the unit is broken. yes kokomi was bad pre beta, that's why she got buffed on release of her e having no icd. yoimiya is worse than hu tao period with a lot of caveats "if only genshin has auto lockon btw" but she is easier to play. some doom posting can be a bit exceessive ? yes it does. sometimes it gets too much, but having it better than "oh you playing the char wrong, just give her some good artifacts and she will do the damage"

Dehya is the embodiment of Murphy’s Law: every day, we find new bugs about her kit and we add a cross mark to more and more possible teams for her. She is absolutely horrible and her remaining this bad is a massive danger for the game. As a 5 stars, she should feel like a 5 stars, not a 3 stars. Never assume that miHoYo will not reproduce a Dehya scenario in the future.

It’s worse. The current Standard crew are garbage only to meta slaves. To everyone else, they’re generally mid, but all are useable. Now Hoyoverse is following the meta-slaves by adding on-purpose garbage characters. That is straight up HOSTILE to newbies! Newbies will have a 1/14 chance that their first pulled 5-star will convince them that they have to swipe to win.
I was looking forward to finally having a 5 star dps for my 2nd abyss team as someone who mains xinyan. Dammit. I hope one of the next denro boys aside from alhaitham plays like a driver.

Dehya truly is a case and point example of "I'd rather be happy than right". Never has a unit been this blatantly bad in terms of unjustified nerfs and negligent design. HYV genuinely seem to hate her for some reason. They really went out of their way to make sure she can't do anything with current rosters. Even if we do get units that utilize her mitigation mechanic, she'll be replaced almost immediately by a Fontaine unit that just does it better. This whole situation is just tragic and it doesn't have to be, but HYV is a shit company and likely won't budge on adjusting her. Forever relegated to the trash heap it seems :(
I agree, but then again just the fact that she got relegated to the standard says that much, the current roster thing I don't mind IF they gave us a decent alternative, I'm still of the mind she's being designed with Fontaine's gimmick in mind (yes she will be replaced by any other Fontaine limited but that's kinda expected) Do I think HYV should be releasing a character "broken" by current meta standards just to fix it in the future? No. Is this scummy? Yes. My best hope for this is that she's the next Yae Miko or Keqing, which isn't a good thing
The sad thing is people will have forgotten about Dehya as early as next patch the only thing that will transpire from this set of events is that it is completely possible to get away with selling a faulty unit at full price and not receive any significant form of backlash from the playerbase... if this was a test to see how far they could push the limits I'd say hoyojerks have gotten some pretty nice results from the experiment....
I think the most insulting part about Dehya’s release is that they released her beside Cyno. They KNOW they could have built her like a Pyro Cyno, but chose to give her a short, automatic burst with poor scalings and lots of bugs.

You know, I'd still be super upset about dehya and how awful she is for the abyss, but at least it wouldn't be so bad if I could use her in the overworld too. But she can't even do that well! Everytime I'm surrounded by enemies, or in a hilichurl camp, I pop her burst and she goes nuts and flies past enemies, punching the hell out of a Pyro, or mist flower, or even one of those invincible brown poles in hilichurl camps! (Why do we even lock on to those at all!?)
It is still the dumbest concept that she cannot benefit from her infinite poise. Her kit feels more anti-synergy than the split scaling characters like Xinyan and Albedo.
I follow you on Twitter, it was absolutely absurd how many Dehya fanatics were hounding your heels for actually trying to make her work and being frustrated that you couldn't. I was also really disappointed with Dehya, she's such a badass character in lore and just.... terrible as a unit
Even tho I didn't plan to pull for her bcz Al Haitham and Hu tao was my target for months. After doing her story quest, it feels even more sad that such a great character's whole kit is literally useless and will be forgotten with time bcz not being relevant. Being Meta and limited helps to stay a character relevant with time.
Finally someone said this. I'm saving for kaveh so isn't gonna pull for anyone atm but when I did the story quest the urge to pull her cause she's a great character and doesn't deserve this whole shitfest kicked in.
I think the biggest problem with Dehya is, that she's replaceable by everything in any team possible. Yes you can find some teams she can work in, but those teams also can benefit from having someone else in them or just flat out make different teams that work well without Dehya even being mentioned. Is a bit sad the way they made her, like you have this gorgeous looking character that looks like she can beat up half of Sumeru on her own, just for her to be some weird ass dmg mitigator. She's literally that 200$ looking cake that taste like a 20$ cake :/.

Is so sad to see her in this state...... And the Chinese Community also thinks they're not going to buff her or at least as a power creeped Xiangling.. I watched a video about it where the CZcamsr going into the Chinese community forums. He also mentioned why Zhongli was buffed because the Chinese community was also up and arms for a buff for him. For Dehya, yeah they're ignoring her.... It would be a miracle for Hoyoverse to buff Dehya.
I've read in a CN forum that they are also very disappointed with Dehya's performance but there's no point in complaining about hoyo because they already deemed her as standard character. Zhongli was mentioned and the only difference between Zhongli being buffed is he is an archon, Dehya is not.
Everytime I hear someone trying to justify that "Dehya isn't that bad with the right units", all I hear is someone saying "my turtle isn't that slow if I give it cocaine, and put it on a skateboard and put the skateboard in a racing car".

i liked her so much that i was considering skipping hu tao for her (despite saving up primos since august for hu tao). Im glad i didnt but man im so sad about what they did to her, shes my favourite character story wise :( i managed to get her anyway from a lucky pull but she will sadly be only useful in my teapot

i really don't understand why dehya fans or really any character fans get offended when you say their character sucks meta wise. im a really big thoma simp but im still sad to this day he's a mediocre support unit that gets outclassed by many others. even before he found his place in burgeon i knew he wasn't that good even after being his simp.
I think a lot of people also don't take into consideration that Dehya doesn't fulfil a single role in the game. Say what you will about weak characters in the meta, each of them excel in a different part of the game. Healers are more functional in the overworld, Yoimiya auto attacks missing and damage isn't a big deal against bosses and large monsters, Yae has damage, you can use a shielder to work around her shortcomings, Kokomi applies hydro really fast to proc reactions. Everything everyone has complained about with previous characters, can be circumvented one way or another, because they themselves excel in something in the game. Dehya doesn't do enough damage to be a main boss killer, her auto attacks knock back so much fighting small mobs affects her overworld, her elemental application isn't fast enough to apply elements, she can't sub dps with her e, and she's suppose to excel as a tank in a game which favours damage because most events are time limited. She's a character that wasn't made for Genshin. Edit: also not to mention that Genshin has designed tanks previously to be mainly shielded or healers, meaning they are off field most of the time to maximise damage.
29:55 The Artifact leaks got updated, the 8s duration got knocked down to 5s. Which isn't a huge difference in the grand scheme of things but the it's pretty audacious that they're still nerfing Dehya somehow.
it's not a huge difference because with proper play there's no difference at all. the stacks still have 100% uptime during her burst as long as someone takes even the slightest bit of damage from her e right before you burst. the nerf seems to be geared towards someone else coming in the future who can use the set who might be too strong with it if given that much freedom of stack uptime
I'm usually devil's advocate. When Kuki Shinobu released (before Dendro) I even made a video clearing Abyss 12 with Physical DPS Kuki. But Dehya... even I couldn't disagree with all the doomposting.
Additional issue not mentioned in the video. You can actually swap cancel her skill if your imputes are to fast. The skill field just disappears. Truly one of the character kits of Genshin Impact. I'm not had it happen in abyss but I've had it happen enough times in the overworld to comfortably say that it is a bug that exists.
For people that say dehya is not meant to do damage then what the hell can she do ? Negate damage that she still take even off field and can die from it, mean while we have bennett, diona, barbara,, dori, etc... I'm not even counting 5 star here, healers exist in this game. If you say she's fit for off field element application, we have thoma that do the same, who also have shield to negate damage, same element and 4 star, and her rate of apply is laughable at best. She's not even one of the good element currently like dendro or hydro or electro. People a sick of playing xianglin in every single comp, but hey she's part of their favorite region, a liyue character, so for sure they're gonna force it down your throat, the next cracked 5 star off field pyro you wanna guess which region ? Cause natlan is pretty far away.
something to note when dehya gets frozen during her burst: you can actually hold alt and click on the mash pop-up to get out of freeze. doesn't make you jump to my knowledge, and while it might be a bit slow, it's still better than just not having a burst
I initially attempted to use Dehya with a Prototype Amber Mona, but Ive found the most success with Bennett C5, Dehya C0 (BiS weapon), Kaeya C6 (favonius), and Kazuha C0 (Xiphos Moonlight). I pretty handily cleared abyss 12 (36 stars) like this with Dehya on a witches set, but as you might see, there is a LOT of effort going into fixing her ER (which sits only at 117% with this build) but I keep 100% uptime with everything included. She needs so much investment to function and but I'm also a guy who forced my physical Kuki to 36 star, so I can't say a 36 star in the abyss is any measure of viability in all cases, as it takes two teams to tango. I'm enjoying Dehya, but her kit is painful to work with.
Well at least Qiqi can use her talents when driving a three unit hyperbloom team without griefing your reactions. With clam set her personal damage is actually higher than Dehya's as well.
Dehya is proof of how crucial leaks are to the community, ALWAYS look at leaks, ALWAYS make informed decisions with your freemos and especially with your money, I’m sure if leaks didn’t exist we would’ve had a lot more devastated dehya mains
The MOST important leak, that's she's going into the Standard Banner, evaded for MONTHS. The first time I heard about it was like 3 weeks into her Beta and was quickly shut down as false. Then the Live Stream comes.... and suddenly everything made sense.
While I agree that one should do their research before pulling any character, I'm not sure that leaks are a net positive. It's something I flip flop on; it's kind of on that line. As such, I'm not even sure if we would have more devastated Dehya players; those who impulse pull will still impulse pull, and those who follow leaks for info will still wait for reports on the live servers.
I mean this isn't necessarily solved by leaks, you can make an informed decision by just being patient. Banners last around 3 weeks, usually it's more than enough time to get a decent verdict on how well (or not) a character functions, even without considering pre TC. The actual advice to give would be to be smart and patient. Not saying i have anything against leaks, i look at them, but i don't consider them this essential tool.
@@fzhs7030 Leaks and Meta is needed in order to keep Hoyo honest. Does that make any sense? If you're a veteran player with an established account, you already know what's up. And even if you are F2P, Hoyo can't magically squeeze money out of you. But since this is a gacha game, which is already predatory, and given the popularity it gained in western cultures who aren't very proficient with gacha systems and the young audience and ages it attracts due to mobile gaming... Now you end up with 15yo-16yo who might not make the best decisions with regards to their money..or their parents CCs. Leaks & Meta aren't just about who works in Spiral Abyss or who's doing more screenshot dmg and who's higher tier than who. They do provide crucial information to people that are still in the early stages of the game and still building their accounts.
Something shitty that people don't seem to mention about Dehya's new artifact set is that Emblem has been in the game for a really long time, so long time players likely already have good enough emblem pieces for Dehya, but if you decide to farm her new set how long will it take for you to get good pieces for Dehya for a full 4 piece set? 6 months? 8 months? No, probably more than that. And even if that happens the damage increase you get compared to emblem is not big enough to make all that grind worth it.
True, but three counterpoints to that: 1) A lot of characters have Emblem as their BiS, and swapping around artifacts sucks. So odds are, your best Emblem pieces already have homes elsewhere, and you still need to farm for Dehya. Especially since you were probably more likely to trash ones that have an HP% substat (which you want C1+). 2) It gets boring farming the same domain all the time. 3) Not all players are long time players, and that percentage will drop with time, as new players join. But to add to your point, the stupid artifact set isn't out now. So right now, when you are most interested in building Dehya, you can't farm for it, and so are probably going to farm Emblem instead. The character and their artifact set really should be released at the same time. Honestly, though, artifact farming to reach the point of a decent set just sucks in general.
Pyro seems to have become the hardest element to balance. They made their lives harder by designing Bennette and Xiangling. Murata will powercreep someone, unless they decide to make her weak.
There is no fucking way they make the archon with Himeko's surname be bad. If they somehow do, then I can confidently say that the genshin team had truly lost their way.
Like if they just make her gold resist apply through her whole E uptime the character would be unironically fixed bc she'd be worthwhile as a defensive utility. The game has enough damage in other characters and her E is the only unique thing she has outside of a very long ult animation.
THIS, I have wanted to scream this from rooftops. Her shit multipliers would still hurt my soul but this would be something. It'd make C2 a pretty good con as well since it fixes her uptime issues.

@@Nyangorou1 i mean sure and we could make her burst an auto attack buff and increase her scaling and make her e an hp shield and rework the whole character. But Hoyo wont really make big changes to her, they have an idea of what they want her to be. I think literally just an E super armor uptime buff would be a small enough change that would make her worthwhile without altering her character. She is clearly not a burst dps character.
Somebody brought up Kazuha, Ganyu, and Kokomi backlash and how they got better over time as an example for why we shouldn't criticize Hoyoverse over Dehya. I tore them a new one for calling Kazuha and Ganyu's "not-worth-it" talk even a backlash. I also gave him examples of incomplete 4 star character kits of Inazuma and Sumeru. That shut them up real good. Brain dead is becoming the norm these days.
The thing is most people who shit on kazu and kokomi are most likely parroting others. I already saw kazuha and kokomi potential miles away. And it turned to be right. I remember defending kazuha for the fact that both him and venti will end up with pretty much the same damage due to same amount of mult and swirl procs. And that's on top of him giving free goblet to everyone. And also dmg% buff was pretty rare at that time. But not with dehya though, zajef pretty much explained that all of her ultility is pretty much outclassed by someone. At best she's going to have 1 specific team that do decently. Or being a viable but kind of inferior alternative on a specific team

I really enjoy playing her in hyperbloom/burgeon comp with a sac claymore and a full EM FLOP set - i've fully cleared all the content w this team and prefer it to her hypercarry team. Thoma is technically better, but I like that I don't need to rely on normal attacks to proc some burgeons, and her pyro application is slow enough to not steal some hyperblooms. I also dont need to rely on Thoma burst for the pyro application, so the rotations feel more comfortable for me. The EM also works with the burning and overloaded that happens I 100% acknowledge this team is copium, but it is still a "fun" Dehya team. Hyperbloom is already so strong that she's just a flex slot. Also works really well with my Nahida and fills the pyro slot!
It's been hilarious seeing how dysfunctional she is from beta up until today. Not spending money during 3.5 already aligned with me having enough crystals for a future 5 star skin so no more Welkins for me (am a Welkin only player). I'm just counting my blessings that my favorite Sumeru characters were not disappointing because they could've been Dehya'd

It's so funny that I think the new Dehya set helps Nilou way more than her just from 2pcs effect. HP 20% more for level 90 NIlou is 3,037 HP increase -> 27% more bloom damage bonus if NIlou's HP is not more than 75k. IDK what overall team damage increase would be but I think it's more than Dehya's 1% increase from changing Emblem to the new set.
that's the reason why i stopped to farm artifacts basically. Its not even because its impossible to drop decent one, but because they are all the same, with different wording and effect, but lets you do ABSOLUTELY THE SAME damage, or worse. Unless you farm them to no end and get "better" crit value. The only way farming new artifacts can become fun, is if they raise the % to find and roll good ones by like 500% because as it is now, you may need to use more than 1 month x decent piece of a whole set. so after you get a decent set, why would you even farm a new one to have a 1% increase? lol

She was a 4 star at start and you can see that. Mihoyo saw "we need new standard 5 stars" and then changed her into one, by just adding star to her name That how it was, 7 months ago, leaks.
For some reason, since the release of sumeru, I felt like dehya was going to be the 1 bad character to come out of sumeru, and looks like I was right worst of it all though is she was the 1 character I had hope for cause she was a Pyro unit making it really hard to screw her up and well hoyoverse found a way and also made a artifact set that's better on other characters than the character it's intended for
I'd say pyro is probably one of the hardest to get right. Problem is, pyro is pretty much only good for Vape, and in some cases, melt. Overall, pretty one trick one pony. That means that trying to design a pyro character that doesn't fit into that has a tendency to not work well. Amber. Xinyan. Thoma (before burgeon gave him a niche). Dehya. And even for those inside the vape category, you get judged against the others, and are probably found wanting. Diluc. Klee. Yanfei. At her launch, Yoimiya, though she's mostly escaped from Hu Tao's shadow now.
I wish this badass looking character could've been the first pyro carry that works great in vape with Mona and forward-melt with double-cryo... (Melt-Bennett is a little niche) I wanted exactly such a character, and I'm pretty sure we literally just needed some decent numbers, maybe a few less drawbacks.
yeah honestly so many people just want another hu tao/diluc, but really dehya just needs better numbers and bug fixes/QoL. her kit is so interesting and unique that it'd be so boring for the meta to put her in double hydro it wouldn't hurt her, but there's such a huge missed opportunity here in making her the first forward melt DPS like you said
@@cinereus4670 There's a lot of things that can be done with any element, on/off-fielder, both or in between, it's a shame to see a character that breaks the mold just isn't balanced and designed anywhere near as well as they could've been. Another pyro carry with a great TF build would also be amazing, that's probably Bennett's most valuable on-field role when it's applicable. I doubt such a character would also apply as much pyro as him, which is the main draw for shields, but the character could of course have it's own effective niche on top of having novel teams/builds. On that note, I'm surprised whenever they make an all around pretty bad character, cause there's just so many niches left to leverage, no power-creep needed, not even much effort. The effort goes into balancing general performance, giving them a niche is easy, it can even be broken without breaking the game. Explosive math like quadratic scaling, distributed dmg like Beidou vs. 2 targets or a shotgun blast that does big single-target vs. large singular hitboxes etc. (Sara Q kinda does that vs. Azhdaha, but from above)
I'm just running her as a pure support for burn/melt ganyu with nahida and another pyro. Have her do no damage but proc ToM and an R3 WGS. It's actually really comfy gameplay I think its maybe the strongest my big triple crowned Ganyu has ever felt
Outside of real melt ganyu which is much stronger but relies on bursting with energy hungry units and doing all the damage within that window. Burn/melt is all using skills and still gets huge melts in a very comfy way
if he was level headed he wouldn't care because basic reading comprehension of her kit and the artifact set would immediately show that the nerf isn't meant for her as it literally doesn't effect her. she still can maintain 100% uptime on the stacks while in her burst even at c6's increased duration because if you get hit while in your E right before you burst, you'll take bleed damage for 10 seconds out of the 9 seconds you are in your burst at c6. ya'll are so ready to be doomposting over stuff you don't even take the time to think about how shit actually works

@@thebrigade7684 why are you acting like you can't get attacked after the of your burst cast a single time near the end of a 9 second animation lmao. sure if every enemy that you attack is just staggered to death sure but then there's environmental damage such as the damaging auras enemies in abyss can have. but yes in a case where all enemies are perma staggered during the burst and there's no enemy auras, then yes the stacks will fall off and that's my bad for not considering that not a single enemy would attack you a single time during a burst that lasts nearly 10 seconds. but there's more and more enemies with high stagger resist released in the last couple of abyss such as the big eremites, and the elemental animal things, and of course there's always boss enemies.
The most effective/easy-to-play team I've found with her is Dehya, Kuki, Nahida, and Fischl. The idea being to crank out very high overload damage, plus mix that with burn, quicken, and so on to trigger Fischl a bunch. This let me clear the four robots in about a minute and twenty seconds. Now, my Nahida is C2, Fischl is C6, and my Dehya has both her weapon and some constellations. But, I do think there are a few ways performance could be improved. A key one is that my Fischl most likely isn't optimized for A4 damage generation, gear-wise. Second to that, my Dehya is running 2 piece Noblesse, 2 piece Witch, so a 4 piece Emblem could help offset the cons a little. And the third, potentially could replace one of the electros with Kazuha or Sucrose? Raiden could also be a possibility. And lastly, no doubt my rotations leave lots of room to improve on ;) Curious to see how well this setup would play out in Zajef's hands, in comparison to the Mona team. Of course, this team setup could be one of those situations where you are better off with Thoma or Bennett. Don't know, don't play either of those, but that also doesn't matter if it works well enough, for those that want to play her. Probably the bigger issue is that it wants Nahida.
I think she performs quite well in Ganyu revert burning melt team and people seem to not notice it. Of course, Deyha in that team doesn't provide as much damage as other options but i found it's quite comfy. With her my ganyu can tank cryo kenki frost field attack even when the attack melt because she is having pyro aura standing on bennett's field, the attack dealt about 9k to my Ganyu and Bennett just heal her up afterward. Normally she will die instantly because that kenki's attack can dealt to 20k with melt.
I was thinking that Dehya can be the pyro Albedo. Albedo albeit not talked about by many is a good sub dps with his E. I was looking forward for a skill with similar off field as his flower but Dehya's skill is so bad its sad.

The only nerf they did to her set was a 3 seconds decrease in time it still offers the same bonus of 50%. Which is bad for c6 but for c1 to c3 the set is fine and still a 10% increase. If you think for some reason this is wrong explain it
I'm curious as to their math on that. Okay, at C1, she gets more benefit from that 20% hp. However, if you are going for X% ER, then that 20% from the 2 piece Emblem bonus has to be replaced. So that means less crit, less crit DMG, or, well the stat people are more likely to give up, hp%. The set won't really change what is the optimal mix of those 4 substats, just where they come from. The main difference is that the new set multiplies the elemental skill, as well as the burst, and I can't see the elemental skill accounting for that much of an increase. C4 definitely makes a difference as to viability of the set. With the energy earned while using the burst, you need less ER. That means less DMG from Emblem. Furthermore, you'll use those substat rolls elsewhere, which will boost the base damage of both the burst and elemental skill, giving the multiplier a bigger number to multiply. And if you do have energy issues now, to such a point that you aren't interested in lowering your ER, then you aren't able to use your burst on cooldown currently (otherwise you could lower the ER with the addition of C4), and, with so much of her damage potential being in the burst... more damage dealt by her. I also think they are likely over-estimating the impact. If you do your initial rotation and don't take any damage before you use her burst, you're at a 10% boost. If you get hit during her burst, it will likely be one instance of damage, so, again, you won't be at 50%. If you get hit just right before her burst, it takes time for the ticks to get up there. If you get got hit before, but there's a bit of a gap between, suddenly your damage drops off, because her burst doesn't snapshot. If you are at C1, you have that 8s gap in E's coverage. There's the circle impact factor, and mobs not deigning to be inside the circle. And, well, consider various bosses that have stunned phases, periods of time where you can whale on them after meeting a certain condition, during which they do nothing to you. So, that begs the question: what exactly is the situation where it is a 10% boost? How much are they taking off it for cases where you won't be at max? I expect there will be a lot of situations where, in practice, it is an overall damage loss.
@@Axterix13 actually I can see you your point on the monster stun phase in that circumstance assuming the set doesn’t activate with burning it would be lower than an attack sands pyro goblet emblem build. I will say though that sacrificing anything on dehya for er will always lead in a dps per hit decrease. I’m at 170 er now with attack sands and Pryo goblet. I deal 21 to 22k per punch at 200cd. At 220 cd I deal 24 to 25k per punch. If I take off my attack sands and switch to er I drop to 15 to 16k per hit. I’m at c3 so drop that to 14k. With emblem switching to hp sands gives a higher damage per hit bonus then going er despite my burst % increase getting higher with my er. Dehya this thing about dehya energy issues are unique to the individual. If you play solo use a battery like raiden and poof gone. I play multiplayer domain mostly and even with a 2 piece shin and glad set I still get my burst back rather quickly. My focus is on the numbers per hit solo damage. Not overall damage from rotation so if you have a better idea for that keep that in mind if you respond. As of right now though in the best condition where you can keep your stack i sill think this set would put perform emblem by 10%. Unless you can do the math on a c1 r1 dehya with the new set without any er sands sacrifice. So far most people are full on taking out her attack sands for er. On the side note the set got nerfed to 5 seconds so dehya could potentially receive a stat update from mihoyo. Tha
Deyha is the only unit that had a reactive heal. This means she's the only character that you can AFK farm stuff using Ocean-Hue set, like an autobattler.
I tested a level 80, c0 r1, burst level 8, 90/220 ratio dehya with kazuha, mona, and bennett, and it took all but the last hit of her burst to kill level 60 raiden (with food buffs). I then tested my diluc (level 90, r2 serpent spine, 80/180 ratio) with an artifactless xingqiu, barely invested yun jin, and bennett, and he killed her faster with just his infused autos (no food buffs, na level 7) 💀
The worst thing going forward is going to be losing 50/50s to her. I am a relatively new player and would MUCH rather have ANY of the other standard 5 star characters than her. I am mostly f2p, but not completely, but if I lose a 50/50 to Dehya in the near future I might just stop spending or even playing all together. Getting her instead of the featured character wouldn't be a consolation price, it would be a fucking punishment.
I always thought that my Xiangling with both EM sands and circlet was built absolutely terribly with 184% total CV (excluding Catch passive), but at least she still outperforms Dehya.
A more comfy team I enjoy but still cope is raiden, kokomi, mona, and burst dehya. With raiden’s team burst buff, off field damage, and her own burst at the end of a rotation for er refund/damage works nicely. kokomi for healing, hydro res, extra hydro app, and clam damage. Mona for ttods, hydro app, and omen buff. Then deyha burst dps and use raiden burst the finish of what didn’t die
I don't think the jumping bug is a "mechanic" at all. You can just simply cancel her burst by switching characters. That has been the case for many other characters now. You want to end Xiao's draining his health during his burst? -> switch characters. You want to cancel childe's stance without pressing E?-> switch characters. You don't want to fly as Oz all the way? -> switch characters. It's such an excuse Dehya mains came up with to deny that the dev didn't care about her design/kit at all.

I rolled up until C2 Dehya and also grabbed her Weapons. So pretty whaley. But this abyss is the 3rd time in total i managed to get 36 stars. In floor 12 i used her on my 2nd team together with Venti, Bennett and Mona. I have ~170% ER on her with EosF 4p set bonus. I actively fed her energy with Bennett and Venti also generates energy with his burst. So that way it did work so that i could burst on CD. But even then it was super close. Without C2 and her signature weapon there would have been no way for me to manage.
Look.. im fine with her low damage cause she's not meant to be a dps anyway. Hoyo stated that she's a character who helps with survivability. BUT im infuriated with how bad her defensive kit. Her dmg mitigation isn't good enough to replace 1 slot of your healer/shielder for her ... Plus.. wth is her burst if she's a "defensive" unit?!!!?? It doesn't provide any utility other than small dmg

Dehya performing even worse than amber and qiqi in a whale nuke showcase isn't only embarrassing for this unit and not only she performs worse in survivability than literally any healer and shielder in the entire game but in the next patch, she gets an artifact set that is only 1% better than emblem is just really the most hoyoverse moment of all time
Said artifact also just ate a nerf in the most recent beta update to cut the stack duration down from 8 to 5 secs.

Funny fact: Playing Coop with Dehya then you're basically instant dead anyway because Dehya mains really love to pick up her circle and use her burst to do 5000 dmg per punch. I would just let my character die intentionally and alt+tab to watch Netflix every time I see Dehya in coop.
How are you dying playing Dehya in co-op? At the start, you double tap E. You now take only 40% of the redirected damage. 6s later, you burst. Post burst, you again take only 40% of the redirected damage. And you heal every 20s. I've died 1x in co-op with her, and that's because I wound up juggled in a corner for some reason.
Now, for your teammates, it does suck a bit. But that is kind of on them. She's not a healer. They'll take damage. Less damage, but damage. And at any point, you could pick up the circle, or it enters that 8s cooldown for those without C2. Or they'll chase a mob outside of it. That's why they should have the MRE, and they can dodge and such, exactly like they would do in the plethora of teams without a healer. Which they should do with Dehya on the team, when the almight defensive ability you offer is to... redirect less than half the damage (because, really, how many Dehyas have 10+ Elemental Skill?). So, basically, to paraphrase a common thing said by MMO healers, "You can't redirect stupid." Dehya makes life safer, but that's different than making life safe.

What's funny to me is that the majority of the player base is casual and most people don't usually min-max builds and go the extra mile to optimize builds. Until now it hasn't been a problem because the past characters have been strong and fun enough to play casually and kill everything in the game.
Now with Deyha, even speedrunners and theory crafters have to put so much investment and work into making Deyha work (and even then her best is worse than Xiangling teams), that even casual players can tell that Deyha is bad.

The funniest/saddest part of Dehya is that you can blatantly see how Mihoyo didn’t give a single shit about her.
Not only did the nerf her when she was already not great, then just tossed her to the standard banner, but the fact they didn’t notice the issue with her AA chain.

Just FYI her auto attack chain doesn't have as much knockback as what was shown in her trailer, for some reason. In game all of her attacks do connect even against lighter enemies

@@lostblueboy my opinion about doom posters. it's usually better to expect the least out of a unit than to pretend the unit is broken. yes kokomi was bad pre beta, that's why she got buffed on release of her e having no icd. yoimiya is worse than hu tao period with a lot of caveats "if only genshin has auto lockon btw" but she is easier to play. some doom posting can be a bit exceessive ? yes it does. sometimes it gets too much, but having it better than "oh you playing the char wrong, just give her some good artifacts and she will do the damage"

Dehya is the embodiment of Murphy’s Law: every day, we find new bugs about her kit and we add a cross mark to more and more possible teams for her.
She is absolutely horrible and her remaining this bad is a massive danger for the game. As a 5 stars, she should feel like a 5 stars, not a 3 stars. Never assume that miHoYo will not reproduce a Dehya scenario in the future.

Dehya truly is a case and point example of "I'd rather be happy than right". Never has a unit been this blatantly bad in terms of unjustified nerfs and negligent design. HYV genuinely seem to hate her for some reason. They really went out of their way to make sure she can't do anything with current rosters. Even if we do get units that utilize her mitigation mechanic, she'll be replaced almost immediately by a Fontaine unit that just does it better. This whole situation is just tragic and it doesn't have to be, but HYV is a shit company and likely won't budge on adjusting her. Forever relegated to the trash heap it seems :(

To add insult to the injury some of her normals dont hit the hitbox of the enemies for whatever reason, the attacks simply miss the target
You know, I'd still be super upset about dehya and how awful she is for the abyss, but at least it wouldn't be so bad if I could use her in the overworld too. But she can't even do that well! Everytime I'm surrounded by enemies, or in a hilichurl camp, I pop her burst and she goes nuts and flies past enemies, punching the hell out of a Pyro, or mist flower, or even one of those invincible brown poles in hilichurl camps!

Even tho I didn't plan to pull for her bcz Al Haitham and Hu tao was my target for months. After doing her story quest, it feels even more sad that such a great character's whole kit is literally useless and will be forgotten with time bcz not being relevant. Being Meta and limited helps to stay a character relevant with time.

I think the biggest problem with Dehya is, that she's replaceable by everything in any team possible. Yes you can find some teams she can work in, but those teams also can benefit from having someone else in them or just flat out make different teams that work well without Dehya even being mentioned. Is a bit sad the way they made her, like you have this gorgeous looking character that looks like she can beat up half of Sumeru on her own, just for her to be some weird ass dmg mitigator. She's literally that 200$ looking cake that taste like a 20$ cake :/.

I watched a video about it where the CZcamsr going into the Chinese community forums. He also mentioned why Zhongli was buffed because the Chinese community was also up and arms for a buff for him. For Dehya, yeah they're ignoring her.... It would be a miracle for Hoyoverse to buff Dehya.

I've read in a CN forum that they are also very disappointed with Dehya's performance but there's no point in complaining about hoyo because they already deemed her as standard character. Zhongli was mentioned and the only difference between Zhongli being buffed is he is an archon, Dehya is not.
Everytime I hear someone trying to justify that "Dehya isn't that bad with the right units", all I hear is someone saying "my turtle isn't that slow if I give it cocaine, and put it on a skateboard and put the skateboard in a racing car".

If your Thoma is C4+, I recommend building if you like burgeon. C4 makes it easier to meet his ER requirement for smooth rotations

i really don't understand why dehya fans or really any character fans get offended when you say their character sucks meta wise. im a really big thoma simp but im still sad to this day he's a mediocre support unit that gets outclassed by many others. even before he found his place in burgeon i knew he wasn't that good even after being his simp.

I think a lot of people also don't take into consideration that Dehya doesn't fulfil a single role in the game. Say what you will about weak characters in the meta, each of them excel in a different part of the game. Healers are more functional in the overworld, Yoimiya auto attacks missing and damage isn't a big deal against bosses and large monsters, Yae has damage, you can use a shielder to work around her shortcomings, Kokomi applies hydro really fast to proc reactions. Everything everyone has complained about with previous characters, can be circumvented one way or another, because they themselves excel in something in the game.
Dehya doesn't do enough damage to be a main boss killer, her auto attacks knock back so much fighting small mobs affects her overworld, her elemental application isn't fast enough to apply elements, she can't sub dps with her e, and she's suppose to excel as a tank in a game which favours damage because most events are time limited. She's a character that wasn't made for Genshin.
Edit: also not to mention that Genshin has designed tanks previously to be mainly shielded or healers, meaning they are off field most of the time to maximise damage.
Dehya Post-Mortem Analysis
29:55 The Artifact leaks got updated, the 8s duration got knocked down to 5s. Which isn't a huge difference in the grand scheme of things but the it's pretty audacious that they're still nerfing Dehya somehow.
it's not a huge difference because with proper play there's no difference at all. the stacks still have 100% uptime during her burst as long as someone takes even the slightest bit of damage from her e right before you burst. the nerf seems to be geared towards someone else coming in the future who can use the set who might be too strong with it if given that much freedom of stack uptime
I'm usually devil's advocate. When Kuki Shinobu released (before Dendro) I even made a video clearing Abyss 12 with Physical DPS Kuki.
But Dehya... even I couldn't disagree with all the doomposting.
The cherry on top is that her "tailor made" artifact set got nerfed recently. They really hate her
Additional issue not mentioned in the video. You can actually swap cancel her skill if your imputes are to fast. The skill field just disappears. Truly one of the character kits of Genshin Impact. I'm not had it happen in abyss but I've had it happen enough times in the overworld to comfortably say that it is a bug that exists.
For people that say dehya is not meant to do damage then what the hell can she do ? Negate damage that she still take even off field and can die from it, mean while we have bennett, diona, barbara,, dori, etc... I'm not even counting 5 star here, healers exist in this game. If you say she's fit for off field element application, we have thoma that do the same, who also have shield to negate damage, same element and 4 star, and her rate of apply is laughable at best. She's not even one of the good element currently like dendro or hydro or electro. People a sick of playing xianglin in every single comp, but hey she's part of their favorite region, a liyue character, so for sure they're gonna force it down your throat, the next cracked 5 star off field pyro you wanna guess which region ? Cause natlan is pretty far away.
something to note when dehya gets frozen during her burst: you can actually hold alt and click on the mash pop-up to get out of freeze. doesn't make you jump to my knowledge, and while it might be a bit slow, it's still better than just not having a burst
I initially attempted to use Dehya with a Prototype Amber Mona, but Ive found the most success with Bennett C5, Dehya C0 (BiS weapon), Kaeya C6 (favonius), and Kazuha C0 (Xiphos Moonlight). I pretty handily cleared abyss 12 (36 stars) like this with Dehya on a witches set, but as you might see, there is a LOT of effort going into fixing her ER (which sits only at 117% with this build) but I keep 100% uptime with everything included. She needs so much investment to function and but I'm also a guy who forced my physical Kuki to 36 star, so I can't say a 36 star in the abyss is any measure of viability in all cases, as it takes two teams to tango. I'm enjoying Dehya, but her kit is painful to work with.

Dehya is proof of how crucial leaks are to the community, ALWAYS look at leaks, ALWAYS make informed decisions with your freemos and especially with your money, I’m sure if leaks didn’t exist we would’ve had a lot more devastated dehya mains
The MOST important leak, that's she's going into the Standard Banner, evaded for MONTHS. The first time I heard about it was like 3 weeks into her Beta and was quickly shut down as false. Then the Live Stream comes.... and suddenly everything made sense.
While I agree that one should do their research before pulling any character, I'm not sure that leaks are a net positive. It's something I flip flop on; it's kind of on that line. As such, I'm not even sure if we would have more devastated Dehya players; those who impulse pull will still impulse pull, and those who follow leaks for info will still wait for reports on the live servers.

I mean this isn't necessarily solved by leaks, you can make an informed decision by just being patient. Banners last around 3 weeks, usually it's more than enough time to get a decent verdict on how well (or not) a character functions, even without considering pre TC. The actual advice to give would be to be smart and patient. Not saying i have anything against leaks, i look at them, but i don't consider them this essential tool.

If you're a veteran player with an established account, you already know what's up. And even if you are F2P, Hoyo can't magically squeeze money out of you.
But since this is a gacha game, which is already predatory, and given the popularity it gained in western cultures who aren't very proficient with gacha systems and the young audience and ages it attracts due to mobile gaming... Now you end up with 15yo-16yo who might not make the best decisions with regards to their money..or their parents CCs.
Leaks & Meta aren't just about who works in Spiral Abyss or who's doing more screenshot dmg and who's higher tier than who.
They do provide crucial information to people that are still in the early stages of the game and still building their accounts.
Something shitty that people don't seem to mention about Dehya's new artifact set is that Emblem has been in the game for a really long time, so long time players likely already have good enough emblem pieces for Dehya, but if you decide to farm her new set how long will it take for you to get good pieces for Dehya for a full 4 piece set? 6 months? 8 months? No, probably more than that. And even if that happens the damage increase you get compared to emblem is not big enough to make all that grind worth it.
You farm Dehya’s set for Nilou and Xiao instead.
True, but three counterpoints to that:
1) A lot of characters have Emblem as their BiS, and swapping around artifacts sucks. So odds are, your best Emblem pieces already have homes elsewhere, and you still need to farm for Dehya. Especially since you were probably more likely to trash ones that have an HP% substat (which you want C1+).
2) It gets boring farming the same domain all the time.
3) Not all players are long time players, and that percentage will drop with time, as new players join.
But to add to your point, the stupid artifact set isn't out now. So right now, when you are most interested in building Dehya, you can't farm for it, and so are probably going to farm Emblem instead. The character and their artifact set really should be released at the same time.
Honestly, though, artifact farming to reach the point of a decent set just sucks in general.
Pyro seems to have become the hardest element to balance. They made their lives harder by designing Bennette and Xiangling. Murata will powercreep someone, unless they decide to make her weak.
There is no fucking way they make the archon with Himeko's surname be bad. If they somehow do, then I can confidently say that the genshin team had truly lost their way.

When her kit first got leaked I honestly thought the devs had messed up and given her the wrong kit. Then v2 came and I lost all hope
Like if they just make her gold resist apply through her whole E uptime the character would be unironically fixed bc she'd be worthwhile as a defensive utility. The game has enough damage in other characters and her E is the only unique thing she has outside of a very long ult animation.

But Hoyo wont really make big changes to her, they have an idea of what they want her to be. I think literally just an E super armor uptime buff would be a small enough change that would make her worthwhile without altering her character. She is clearly not a burst dps character.
Just tie it to her e so that we could use sac for better uptime on ganyu burn melt or something, ANYTHING.
Somebody brought up Kazuha, Ganyu, and Kokomi backlash and how they got better over time as an example for why we shouldn't criticize Hoyoverse over Dehya.
I tore them a new one for calling Kazuha and Ganyu's "not-worth-it" talk even a backlash. I also gave him examples of incomplete 4 star character kits of Inazuma and Sumeru. That shut them up real good. Brain dead is becoming the norm these days.

The most braindead takes i've seen are comparing dehya damage to XIANGLING and defensive utility to ZHONGLI.

I already saw kazuha and kokomi potential miles away. And it turned to be right. I remember defending kazuha for the fact that both him and venti will end up with pretty much the same damage due to same amount of mult and swirl procs. And that's on top of him giving free goblet to everyone. And also dmg% buff was pretty rare at that time.
But not with dehya though, zajef pretty much explained that all of her ultility is pretty much outclassed by someone. At best she's going to have 1 specific team that do decently. Or being a viable but kind of inferior alternative on a specific team

I really enjoy playing her in hyperbloom/burgeon comp with a sac claymore and a full EM FLOP set - i've fully cleared all the content w this team and prefer it to her hypercarry team.
Thoma is technically better, but I like that I don't need to rely on normal attacks to proc some burgeons, and her pyro application is slow enough to not steal some hyperblooms. I also dont need to rely on Thoma burst for the pyro application, so the rotations feel more comfortable for me. The EM also works with the burning and overloaded that happens
I 100% acknowledge this team is copium, but it is still a "fun" Dehya team. Hyperbloom is already so strong that she's just a flex slot. Also works really well with my Nahida and fills the pyro slot!
It's been hilarious seeing how dysfunctional she is from beta up until today. Not spending money during 3.5 already aligned with me having enough crystals for a future 5 star skin so no more Welkins for me (am a Welkin only player). I'm just counting my blessings that my favorite Sumeru characters were not disappointing because they could've been Dehya'd

HP 20% more for level 90 NIlou is 3,037 HP increase -> 27% more bloom damage bonus if NIlou's HP is not more than 75k.
IDK what overall team damage increase would be but I think it's more than Dehya's 1% increase from changing Emblem to the new set.

Its not even because its impossible to drop decent one, but because they are all the same, with different wording and effect, but lets you do ABSOLUTELY THE SAME damage, or worse.

The only way farming new artifacts can become fun, is if they raise the % to find and roll good ones by like 500% because as it is now, you may need to use more than 1 month x decent piece of a whole set. so after you get a decent set, why would you even farm a new one to have a 1% increase? lol

For some reason, since the release of sumeru, I felt like dehya was going to be the 1 bad character to come out of sumeru, and looks like I was right worst of it all though is she was the 1 character I had hope for cause she was a Pyro unit making it really hard to screw her up and well hoyoverse found a way and also made a artifact set that's better on other characters than the character it's intended for
I'd say pyro is probably one of the hardest to get right. Problem is, pyro is pretty much only good for Vape, and in some cases, melt. Overall, pretty one trick one pony. That means that trying to design a pyro character that doesn't fit into that has a tendency to not work well. Amber. Xinyan. Thoma (before burgeon gave him a niche). Dehya. And even for those inside the vape category, you get judged against the others, and are probably found wanting. Diluc. Klee. Yanfei. At her launch, Yoimiya, though she's mostly escaped from Hu Tao's shadow now.
Funnily she even say it herself that she's nothing special, just a normal mercenary.

@@cinereus4670 There's a lot of things that can be done with any element, on/off-fielder, both or in between, it's a shame to see a character that breaks the mold just isn't balanced and designed anywhere near as well as they could've been.
Another pyro carry with a great TF build would also be amazing, that's probably Bennett's most valuable on-field role when it's applicable. I doubt such a character would also apply as much pyro as him, which is the main draw for shields, but the character could of course have it's own effective niche on top of having novel teams/builds.
On that note, I'm surprised whenever they make an all around pretty bad character, cause there's just so many niches left to leverage, no power-creep needed, not even much effort. The effort goes into balancing general performance, giving them a niche is easy, it can even be broken without breaking the game. Explosive math like quadratic scaling, distributed dmg like Beidou vs. 2 targets or a shotgun blast that does big single-target vs. large singular hitboxes etc. (Sara Q kinda does that vs. Azhdaha, but from above)
I'm just running her as a pure support for burn/melt ganyu with nahida and another pyro. Have her do no damage but proc ToM and an R3 WGS. It's actually really comfy gameplay I think its maybe the strongest my big triple crowned Ganyu has ever felt
Outside of real melt ganyu which is much stronger but relies on bursting with energy hungry units and doing all the damage within that window. Burn/melt is all using skills and still gets huge melts in a very comfy way

if he was level headed he wouldn't care because basic reading comprehension of her kit and the artifact set would immediately show that the nerf isn't meant for her as it literally doesn't effect her. she still can maintain 100% uptime on the stacks while in her burst even at c6's increased duration because if you get hit while in your E right before you burst, you'll take bleed damage for 10 seconds out of the 9 seconds you are in your burst at c6.

@@thebrigade7684 why are you acting like you can't get attacked after the of your burst cast a single time near the end of a 9 second animation lmao. sure if every enemy that you attack is just staggered to death sure but then there's environmental damage such as the damaging auras enemies in abyss can have. but yes in a case where all enemies are perma staggered during the burst and there's no enemy auras, then yes the stacks will fall off and that's my bad for not considering that not a single enemy would attack you a single time during a burst that lasts nearly 10 seconds. but there's more and more enemies with high stagger resist released in the last couple of abyss such as the big eremites, and the elemental animal things, and of course there's always boss enemies.

The most effective/easy-to-play team I've found with her is Dehya, Kuki, Nahida, and Fischl. The idea being to crank out very high overload damage, plus mix that with burn, quicken, and so on to trigger Fischl a bunch. This let me clear the four robots in about a minute and twenty seconds. Now, my Nahida is C2, Fischl is C6, and my Dehya has both her weapon and some constellations. But, I do think there are a few ways performance could be improved. A key one is that my Fischl most likely isn't optimized for A4 damage generation, gear-wise. Second to that, my Dehya is running 2 piece Noblesse, 2 piece Witch, so a 4 piece Emblem could help offset the cons a little. And the third, potentially could replace one of the electros with Kazuha or Sucrose? Raiden could also be a possibility. And lastly, no doubt my rotations leave lots of room to improve on ;)
Curious to see how well this setup would play out in Zajef's hands, in comparison to the Mona team. Of course, this team setup could be one of those situations where you are better off with Thoma or Bennett. Don't know, don't play either of those, but that also doesn't matter if it works well enough, for those that want to play her. Probably the bigger issue is that it wants Nahida.

I think she performs quite well in Ganyu revert burning melt team and people seem to not notice it. Of course, Deyha in that team doesn't provide as much damage as other options but i found it's quite comfy. With her my ganyu can tank cryo kenki frost field attack even when the attack melt because she is having pyro aura standing on bennett's field, the attack dealt about 9k to my Ganyu and Bennett just heal her up afterward. Normally she will die instantly because that kenki's attack can dealt to 20k with melt.

The only nerf they did to her set was a 3 seconds decrease in time it still offers the same bonus of 50%. Which is bad for c6 but for c1 to c3 the set is fine and still a 10% increase. If you think for some reason this is wrong explain it
I'm curious as to their math on that. Okay, at C1, she gets more benefit from that 20% hp. However, if you are going for X% ER, then that 20% from the 2 piece Emblem bonus has to be replaced. So that means less crit, less crit DMG, or, well the stat people are more likely to give up, hp%. The set won't really change what is the optimal mix of those 4 substats, just where they come from. The main difference is that the new set multiplies the elemental skill, as well as the burst, and I can't see the elemental skill accounting for that much of an increase.
C4 definitely makes a difference as to viability of the set. With the energy earned while using the burst, you need less ER. That means less DMG from Emblem. Furthermore, you'll use those substat rolls elsewhere, which will boost the base damage of both the burst and elemental skill, giving the multiplier a bigger number to multiply. And if you do have energy issues now, to such a point that you aren't interested in lowering your ER, then you aren't able to use your burst on cooldown currently (otherwise you could lower the ER with the addition of C4), and, with so much of her damage potential being in the burst... more damage dealt by her.
I also think they are likely over-estimating the impact. If you do your initial rotation and don't take any damage before you use her burst, you're at a 10% boost. If you get hit during her burst, it will likely be one instance of damage, so, again, you won't be at 50%. If you get hit just right before her burst, it takes time for the ticks to get up there. If you get got hit before, but there's a bit of a gap between, suddenly your damage drops off, because her burst doesn't snapshot. If you are at C1, you have that 8s gap in E's coverage. There's the circle impact factor, and mobs not deigning to be inside the circle. And, well, consider various bosses that have stunned phases, periods of time where you can whale on them after meeting a certain condition, during which they do nothing to you.
So, that begs the question: what exactly is the situation where it is a 10% boost? How much are they taking off it for cases where you won't be at max? I expect there will be a lot of situations where, in practice, it is an overall damage loss.
@@Axterix13 actually I can see you your point on the monster stun phase in that circumstance assuming the set doesn’t activate with burning it would be lower than an attack sands pyro goblet emblem build. I will say though that sacrificing anything on dehya for er will always lead in a dps per hit decrease. I’m at 170 er now with attack sands and Pryo goblet. I deal 21 to 22k per punch at 200cd. At 220 cd I deal 24 to 25k per punch. If I take off my attack sands and switch to er I drop to 15 to 16k per hit. I’m at c3 so drop that to 14k. With emblem switching to hp sands gives a higher damage per hit bonus then going er despite my burst % increase getting higher with my er. Dehya this thing about dehya energy issues are unique to the individual. If you play solo use a battery like raiden and poof gone. I play multiplayer domain mostly and even with a 2 piece shin and glad set I still get my burst back rather quickly. My focus is on the numbers per hit solo damage. Not overall damage from rotation so if you have a better idea for that keep that in mind if you respond. As of right now though in the best condition where you can keep your stack i sill think this set would put perform emblem by 10%. Unless you can do the math on a c1 r1 dehya with the new set without any er sands sacrifice. So far most people are full on taking out her attack sands for er. On the side note the set got nerfed to 5 seconds so dehya could potentially receive a stat update from mihoyo. Tha
Deyha is the only unit that had a reactive heal.
This means she's the only character that you can AFK farm stuff using Ocean-Hue set, like an autobattler.
I tested a level 80, c0 r1, burst level 8, 90/220 ratio dehya with kazuha, mona, and bennett, and it took all but the last hit of her burst to kill level 60 raiden (with food buffs). I then tested my diluc (level 90, r2 serpent spine, 80/180 ratio) with an artifactless xingqiu, barely invested yun jin, and bennett, and he killed her faster with just his infused autos (no food buffs, na level 7) 💀
Today they found that her normal attack will miss the first hit and that her E can be interrupted
The worst thing going forward is going to be losing 50/50s to her. I am a relatively new player and would MUCH rather have ANY of the other standard 5 star characters than her. I am mostly f2p, but not completely, but if I lose a 50/50 to Dehya in the near future I might just stop spending or even playing all together. Getting her instead of the featured character wouldn't be a consolation price, it would be a fucking punishment.
I always thought that my Xiangling with both EM sands and circlet was built absolutely terribly with 184% total CV (excluding Catch passive), but at least she still outperforms Dehya.
Thats still ~25 CV on each artifact. Thats by far not terrible.

A more comfy team I enjoy but still cope is raiden, kokomi, mona, and burst dehya. With raiden’s team burst buff, off field damage, and her own burst at the end of a rotation for er refund/damage works nicely. kokomi for healing, hydro res, extra hydro app, and clam damage. Mona for ttods, hydro app, and omen buff. Then deyha burst dps and use raiden burst the finish of what didn’t die
I don't think the jumping bug is a "mechanic" at all. You can just simply cancel her burst by switching characters. That has been the case for many other characters now.
You want to end Xiao's draining his health during his burst? -> switch characters.
You want to cancel childe's stance without pressing E?-> switch characters.
You don't want to fly as Oz all the way? -> switch characters.
It's such an excuse Dehya mains came up with to deny that the dev didn't care about her design/kit at all.

I rolled up until C2 Dehya and also grabbed her Weapons. So pretty whaley. But this abyss is the 3rd time in total i managed to get 36 stars.
In floor 12 i used her on my 2nd team together with Venti, Bennett and Mona. I have ~170% ER on her with EosF 4p set bonus.
I actively fed her energy with Bennett and Venti also generates energy with his burst. So that way it did work so that i could burst on CD.
But even then it was super close. Without C2 and her signature weapon there would have been no way for me to manage.
Look.. im fine with her low damage cause she's not meant to be a dps anyway. Hoyo stated that she's a character who helps with survivability. BUT im infuriated with how bad her defensive kit. Her dmg mitigation isn't good enough to replace 1 slot of your healer/shielder for her ...
Plus.. wth is her burst if she's a "defensive" unit?!!!?? It doesn't provide any utility other than small dmg
