Ended up walking home all dazed and confused and never found my board. I always skate with a friend now. Hoping for speedy recovery for your bro!
I just crashed at 25 mph as well. I was covered in road rash and in so much pain I just wanted to go home and didn't even think to go to the hospital. A day later I gave in and went to urgent care, where I found out I broke my wrist and my elbow, and also tore my TFCC ligament. I still feel so sick thinking about that crash, it was the worst pain of my life.
Wow, that's crazy. I hope you're doing better now. I crashed at 25 and somehow only hit my helmet and slid on it. The only injury I got was a small patch of road rash.
Be careful man. I bought a boasted board 2019 and I was shocked when people were saying they road 30 or plus even 20mph because anything 13mph is terrifying. It’s scary because if u fall at that speed u can break a limb or as u stated “concussion” it’s so scary. I don’t belive most people because my board was steady smooth road was perfect but I knew any thing that happens I could break… people don’t realize it doesn’t take much speed on these things and if u fall at those speeds no protection ur gonna be scarred some way around. Glad ur better and I hope ur comment puts things in perspective . I ate shhh at 17mph and if it was for mmm hoodies and snowboard jacket I’d probably broke my back. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. These boards are extremely fun but they must be used with caution. Enjoy the ride have a blast just don’t Rick ur health…
Sorry bro I know that feeling, I wish your brother a very fast recovery and healing, you guys bring us great videos and we all know how dangerous it could be hopefully we can all learn thanks to your video, we don't have to max speed when we know these boards could hit 30+mph. You do this so we could know thank you and your brother. Ride safe and secure all the time. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys soon heal and recover bro.
I watched the video and instantly felt the fear your brother felt. I've had falls just like this before, but never at such high speeds. Be safe out there guys. Well wishes to you both
dang man, hope he fully recovered from this. I've definitely learned that if something feels sketchy.. probably best to pull back and not do it. I learned that the hard way an ate it going around 35mph on an euc a few years ago. Props for promoting wearing gear!
As soon as I saw the accident was caused by speed wobbles, I immediately knew the hurricane was going to be the accident board. It’s the only one with double kingpin trucks, which are WAY more prone to speed wobbles. This is why I don’t like boards with DKP trucks. IMO they aren’t very well suited to esk8, especially on boards with a dramatic amount of power like all the AT boards on the market right now (ownboard AT, wowgo AT2, verreal RS, backfire hammer, meepo hurricane, exway atlas, etc.). They’re good for slower boards if you want a board for carving, but personally I really wish that esk8 companies would stop putting them on their most powerful boards. Ownboard switched to TKP trucks for the Zeus and Zeus pro which I’m really happy to see, I just wish that more companies would follow in their footsteps. Like, I run the trucks on my modded zealot SUPER loose, and even I don’t like DKP trucks. I have the orange (softest) orangatang nipples bushings on the zealot’s trucks, and I’m able to remain stable at 28mph on it, but that being said I’ve never felt comfortable skating a DKP board. Wishing you a quick recovery, hope to see you back on a board soon! Super glad to see you had the common sense to gear up when skating, we’ve lost way too many esk8ers because they didn’t wear a helmet.
yes dkp is more for carving not really for speed, however its way more fun than traditional rkp. It's about the bushing that you are using on the dkp, toss some riptide performance bushing on it will make a huge difference, plus with an additional 165 65mm race wheels would be hella stable during high speed. I topped my board out at 36mph with no speed wabble at all with riptide 93/96 and 65mm racewheels.
I hope he recovers quickly! I just had a fall on the Hurricane (speed wobbles), landed on right shoulder, arm in sling, torn ligaments, bruised ribs, etc., so much pain. Still an awesome board though!
Yall need to tighten the trucks up or learn to ride.. My landyat evo from 2010 is so tight in the trucks people don't like it but I love it. never any problem with speed wobble. hurricane is basically the same model but with power.
@@RockHeroBand yeah I've been a long time longboarder and skater and like never get speed wobbles even on really loose trucks. But I also have built up the muscles alot that help keep it from wobbling
@@alexanderpopik6780 Well, I thought the same until I hit a pothole on a Hurricane in 45km/h :D It can get wobbly really fast on the DKP trucks. Luckily I wore my 186 killer knee pads I use for bowl so I went full knee slide and ended up with just a few bruises... But the top speed on the Hurricane is not a comfortable speed to go on the DKP trucks.

My biggest injury has been forgetting a hole on my daily route (unsealed pavement from the city after a cable job) and slamming front wheels into it.. went flying and the wierdest injury that never really has recovered.. my foot.. I sprained the foot somehow bad so all the ligaments near the toes got hard swollen, had a cast, took like 1-2 months until I could have weight on the foot and walk un-assisted and then about half a year to get the swelling down.. now I still sometimes feel discomfort at times but only a few times a year when I feel like I need to slow my walking pace as I get wierd pain lol... no protection could have helped that kind of injury although I do member I had sneakers on with thin underside.. and I guess I slammed it hard into the pavement. All im praying is that I can still ride in my 70-s lol, I can deal with the small amount of discomfort.
Dude, Im glad he will be ok, I took a wobble crash on the hurricane and woke up naked in an ambulance on the way to a trama center. The meepo is pretty fast... Becareful.
Meepo should learn from ownboard, they put a more stable trucks, in a high performance board. And i am glad nowdays almost all the company get rid off the DKP (death king pin) trucks and replace it to TKP.

I saw this before my incident (broken clavicle after my zealot s cut out at 10% and threw me off) and now this hurts just watching the end. I am getting the hurricane next week. Do you think wearing a full face helmet, leather motorcycle jacket + leather pants is a good solution? I don’t anticipate in falling but it may happen. Was also going to wear gloves. I ride motorcycles so I already got gear. Sorry about your brother hope he gets better!
Same I ride motorcycles too, it really all depends on how confident you feel on electric skateboards in general. I’ve been riding for 3 years, and have had the hurricane for 8 months. I feel extremely comfortable and safe on pneumatics wheels, so since this test was on street I went ahead and threw on my nobleman gear. Every other regular ride though I just use my half shell helmet, because with my pneumatics I never lose traction and speed wobbles don’t exist going max speed. I would say of course on your first couple of rides because it’s level of power can be scary at first, but afterwards you crave it :)
Wear gloves as well , and get elbowForearm padding insert for the jacket. When you fall you fall forward and if it’s fast enough you’ll smash to the ground without reacting and break something , but slow you put your hand out and brace the fall instinctively. Gloves help your hands not get tucked up , and the forearm insert is when you slide you’ll be sliding on that part and it’ll prevent it from getting fucked up. One can get a motorcycle jacket for around $200 for a nice one , it’ll have air flow all around it , padding , thick fabric for skid protection, and look really cool too.
meepo is pretty worth the amount of money you spend all around easy buying plus their customer service is good, my mini 2 is like a little cadillac in the esk8 community best for ur $. glad y’all are ok👍
hello, random question. What is the width of the board if you measure from edge of the wheel to the other wheel? I want to know if I can fit a voyager into a locker.
look at motorbike gear - honestly if you might hit the pavement at that speed get some leathers or at least a good jacket. can also get chest and spine protectors, obviously it's cash but if you want to put money into safety that's where it's at. edit: looking around Leatt seems to be the go to brand for the kind of bracing that would help for this stuff
yeah… i m not sure going extremely fast is the best on an electric skateboard… i m not saying speed isn’t fun, but some vehicles are better adapted, read as less chances to get badly hurt. so what are skateboarding really good at? what are eskate giving you that other kind of vehicles can’t bring you that easily? CARVING!!!! skateboarding is more about carving imho but yup, to each his own, if you think it s great to go straight and as fast as possible at 10cm from the ground with slim to none protection from the asphalt? well, good luck
I fell off my meepo while pulling my friend we were going 25 and all I can say is thank God I have no brain damage because I wasn't wearing a helmet and when I fell I landed just like him accept I slid bounced up and flipped. My shoulder was fine but my elbow shoulder and knees had the skin torn off of them. So I just went home and cleaned up and took a shower and put neo sporn on all of my wounds. But dude breaks a shoulder and handles that shit way better than me. Hope he has a good recovery.
On a normal skate bored I was skating in my drive way and I fell and broke my leg it hurt really bad I started hopping on one leg twirls my house and my mom was like WHAT GIRL-
Please tell him next time, please please distribute the weight evenly. Don’t lean forward the whole race. That’s why he fell. But let’s set that aside. I hope your bro recovers fast. 🙏
Meepo's speed claims are usually accurate. hell, the V3 is rated for 28 mph but goes 30 (mine goes 33mph thanks to 100mm wheels) and the V4 is said to go 29 mph but can reach 31 in its stock setting. I have no doubt the voyager can hit 37 if you try.
@@David-iq4vy A v4 can go uphills, but it loses torque quickly and burns through the battery. It can do 12 km. I doubt it does 12km with a lot of inclines.
Any chance they’ll be coming out with a new version of the Meepo hurricane? I currently have an Onsra carve but have always thought about getting the hurricane.
It's almost like you should be wearing motocross gear when you're moving 30mph+ I never ride without motocross padding on my v3 I can't believe you guys rode unprotected on a hurricane maxed out.
@@DruMarr Oh I finally got it. I went about 25 and got speed wobbles on the stock pneumatics which is weird. Do you have stock everything?
Yeah but I tightened my trucks
I wear motorcycle gear and love it.
meepo is pretty worth the amount of money you spend all around easy buying plus their customer service is good, my mini 2 is like a little cadillac in the esk8 community best for ur $. glad y’all are ok👍
OH Shit! I have the Hurricane and i love it, but i think the bushings are to soft for highest speed.
I hope your brother is ok! Greetings, Mike.
Anybody know what the board he was riding that he fell off? Not gonna that fast i just want it to be able to go uphill pretty good
Is he ok?
I'm thinking your bro gets the proceeds from this video!
What helmet was that?
Speedy recovery to your bro!!! And as usual your vidz never disappoint... awesome comparison man!!!
Bro it awesome battel next video share in meepo Voyager vs Teamgee H20 t electric skateboard performance
hello, random question. What is the width of the board if you measure from edge of the wheel to the other wheel? I want to know if I can fit a voyager into a locker.
What’s the range you get with the voyager and how’s the off roading capability
That fall was good
look at motorbike gear - honestly if you might hit the pavement at that speed get some leathers or at least a good jacket. can also get chest and spine protectors, obviously it's cash but if you want to put money into safety that's where it's at.
edit: looking around Leatt seems to be the go to brand for the kind of bracing that would help for this stuff
yeah… i m not sure going extremely fast is the best on an electric skateboard… i m not saying speed isn’t fun, but some vehicles are better adapted, read as less chances to get badly hurt.
so what are skateboarding really good at? what are eskate giving you that other kind of vehicles can’t bring you that easily?
CARVING!!!!
skateboarding is more about carving imho
but yup, to each his own, if you think it s great to go straight and as fast as possible at 10cm from the ground with slim to none protection from the asphalt? well, good luck
The board is advertised as 40mph tho 😢 I got the board thinking it would go 40
I just had my first wipe out doing 20mph, I got really lucky and got away with a concussion and some road rash. Hope he heals up quickly.
Why your brother didn't even wear a protective gear?
He should’ve bent his kneels
Damn, hope hes ok
I fell off my meepo while pulling my friend we were going 25 and all I can say is thank God I have no brain damage because I wasn't wearing a helmet and when I fell I landed just like him accept I slid bounced up and flipped. My shoulder was fine but my elbow shoulder and knees had the skin torn off of them. So I just went home and cleaned up and took a shower and put neo sporn on all of my wounds. But dude breaks a shoulder and handles that shit way better than me. Hope he has a good recovery.
I hope your brother gets better soon!!!!
Bend those knees guys. Rule 101. Hope he's ok.
That hurt soo BAD
On a normal skate bored I was skating in my drive way and I fell and broke my leg it hurt really bad I started hopping on one leg twirls my house and my mom was like WHAT GIRL-
That was a brutal wreck. Damn! Wishing him a speedy recovery!
Dude can u update me plz I’d be okay I’m scared for him?
Please tell him next time, please please distribute the weight evenly. Don’t lean forward the whole race. That’s why he fell. But let’s set that aside. I hope your bro recovers fast. 🙏
What would you recommend a hurricane or a voyager? I’m mixed about what one to get
Hurricane for At wheels and acceleration
Hope you heal up quick man. Sorry this happened to you.
He keeps saying he's right there with me.... But I beg to differ
But , i admire your passion and dedication, props to you, keep it going🙏💯
We’re you ever able to see if the voyagers goes 37mph?
I hit 33-34mph, saw him fall and stopped the test
Meepo's speed claims are usually accurate. hell, the V3 is rated for 28 mph but goes 30 (mine goes 33mph thanks to 100mm wheels) and the V4 is said to go 29 mph but can reach 31 in its stock setting. I have no doubt the voyager can hit 37 if you try.
The board could’ve shot out and crashed you too
@@jpain97_ I was thinking the exact same thing I got really lucky
You know it's real when he falls like that, your here him yell, and he the other guy chucks the camera down
Incase you were wondering. The host can sprint 16Mph
You need shoulder protection when doing a top speed test.
Warning caution notes with the MEEPO? Following the checklist might’ve prevented this accident.
Absolutely dying rn
hope your brother get a fast recovery
How do you record your videos with the 360 and what do you hold on to?
Insta 360 one X2
So sorry to hear that, bro. We wish him get well soon.
Hi, nice video! Does have meepo V4 better acceleration and torque than meepo V3? thanks
Yes it does
@@DruMarr What board would you recommend for me under 600 USD? I need uphill power not speed. Travel 12 km to work. Thank you.
@@David-iq4vy A v4 can go uphills, but it loses torque quickly and burns through the battery. It can do 12 km. I doubt it does 12km with a lot of inclines.
Ouch. How's Dru doing?
I’m chilling, my brother is the one who fell lol
Any chance they’ll be coming out with a new version of the Meepo hurricane? I currently have an Onsra carve but have always thought about getting the hurricane.
Yes I can’t disclose any information but you can expect a new model releasing soon ;)
Hopefully real soon. I got to buy a board in the next three weeks lol.
@@veggie_dog8823 i’m waiting so bad for them to release it if they are
thank you for the review AND to your brother get well soon!!
Sorry this happened guys stay safe! p.s ill hit a like and sub
Oh man, sorry about your brother.
It's almost like you should be wearing motocross gear when you're moving 30mph+ I never ride without motocross padding on my v3 I can't believe you guys rode unprotected on a hurricane maxed out.
I always wear biking gear when I ride and it's saved me more than once.
Also. No pads, wears a weighted backpack. Testing max speed on a board you're unfamiliar with....
That was a RECKLESS recipe for injury.
I hope he heals up well and soon. I busted my left clavicle once. I know that pain first hand.
I feel bad
Mit mondott mi baja lett a gyerek eleg nagyott csatant?
Why he scared to punch it lol
je me sentais tellement mal pour lui
Is he OK now?!?!
He’s going to need surgery, it’s not healing correctly
Zero protections = Instant Karma for all of Us only a matter of time.... when ive seen your friend at high speed with zero pads, i know it.....
He was not bending his knees thats why he fell
Good video the voyager is really elite and I wish your brother well.
Kerosene starts playing 💀💀💀
