In "The Most Iconic Skateboarding Trick Ever Done?! Jeremy Wray Water Tower Ollie", we revisit one of skateboarding's greatest, most memorable and groundbreaking moments, the Ollie across the Water Tower Gap. The gap remains untouched to this day. Jeremy takes us back to that fateful and spontaneous day with Ty Evans and Daniel Harold Sturt that would unknowingly go down in history and still be talked about nearly 30 years later. Jeremy breaks down why this legendary trick ended up in 411 video magazine rather than a Plan B Skateboards or Adio Shoes video, how they avoided confrontation with the Police, how he found the spot, trials and tribulations of trying the gap and the entire day in depth. Did you know he filmed the Ollie the same day as he filmed the Transworld "Starting Point" video? IN fact, you may be able to learn how to ollie from this video if you are a beginner! Also, it turns out, Jeremy also planned to do more on the gap after ollie, in fact, he still may have plans to Kickflip it...
Jeremy used a very tedious art technique called "scratchboard" to design this graphic, where he takes a black scratchboard and uses a thin blade to remove the black, revealing white underneath. Basically, reverse drawing. This graphic was then scanned and placed on a board that he signed!
Ryan Sheckler and Chris Joslin also chime in with their two cents on this famous trick. Signed Boards are available now at storiedskateboarding.com and stay tuned right here for "The Most Famous Ollie" video coming very soon!

@@Dee-nonamnamrson8718 It was my dream from 3rd grade until 7th grade, when I finally wasn't the best skateboarder my age in my town anymore. I skated A LOT too, but was missing the level of fearlessness others seemed to have. Most of the stuff I was doing involved moderate risk. I was still one one the best flip tricks skaters with the people I grew up with, but when it came to big stair sets, rails, etc., many others were much better than I.
I'm not sure how many people know him these days, but when I was in 7th grade I was helping Jon Dickson learn tre flips. A year later he was better than me, and he eventually became pro. I still love to skate, and I'm actually glad I didn't become pro as I love the life I have now that involves less risk than skateboarding.

If you freeze the frame, you can see the rear wheels are slightly passed the edge when the tail hits the ground at the start of the ollie.
    Insane, awesome and ducking scary.

Got a severe twisted ankle which hurt worse then the three bones I have broken.

If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't be able to decide what the gnarliest trick ever was. A contender that doesn't get mentioned often is Jaws' drop in at that one crazy spot in AZ. I can't remember the name of that spot, but I think it was an old drive-in theater. That seemed like a legit life-threatening trick if it went south, because that thing is like 20 feet tall at least.
