    Just wanted to drop in to say I started crocheting about 2 weeks ago, have just been practicing my stitches, and decided to make this my first real project. I was a bit daunted by the new technique at first (backloop!? long sc?!) but after going through your explanation a few times, it turned out to be really easy, and I honestly think it is easier than just a line of single crochets, since the stitches are much clearer to see and count with this method. Thank you!

      Thank you! My hook is a very inexpensive KnitPro Zing hook, I got it as part of a set ages ago but I absolutely love it. Sometimes simple is best!

    Im new to crotchet and having trouble starting this pattern. It seems my chain tightens incredibly as i complete the first row and then that row tightens as I complete the next and so on till i can hardly make row 3. I have tried using a 6.5mm hook and even a 9mm. Any recommendations/tips would be greatly appreciated!

      Hi there, with this stitch pattern, you need to make sure you are skipping the stitch behind each "long single crochet". If you're not skipping the stitch it could cause it to tighten up like you are describing. If you are still having issues feel free to email me and send a pic :-)

    How long would you say it took for you to do this?

    • @nedandmimi
      @nedandmimi  Před 6 měsíci +1

      It probably took me about 2 weeks working on it in the evenings. I'm not a super fast crocheter but the stitch pattern is very repetitive so once you get the hang of it, it moves along pretty quickly :-)

    I start Row #2 with a single crochet and whenever I make a long single crochet I check if I'm skipping one stitch or not ... but my row always ends with a long single crochet instead of a single crochet ... Can you tell me where I'm making a mistake ??

    • @nedandmimi
      @nedandmimi  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi there, it is difficult to say without seeing it - have you double checked that you have an odd number of stitches in Row 1? Email is probably the best way to receive pattern support so please do send me a message if you need further help: sarah[at]nedandmimi[dot].com
