JLin was low key a great pg for the rest of his career, he was just a victim of bad coaching and ball hogs during his prime
and injuries. He had great hops and was super athletic and fast before injuries got him, especially the nets injury
Skylord Ah Gaming he was actually a pretty decent defender too and same with his playmaking but he was always an iso scorer that’s why the Houston rockets and golden state warriors traded him so quickly but succeeded in New York
@@wavyiann9788 He wasn't an Iso Scorer, he operated best out of the pick-and-roll and using his underrated athleticism and IQ to punish defenders through driving lanes, spacing, and passing
Marcus RotMG still didn’t fit in the Houston rockets or golden state warriors system
@@wavyiann9788 I didn't really comment on that but GSW just didn't have any space for him, not that he didn't fit in the system. For the Rockets, he was utilized more of a spot of shooter which he isn't best suited for.
Jeremy Linn winning a ring before Melo feels right. Karma does exist
Why u salty tbh he got a ring did he contribute at all
No not really
Lin sanity ws great don't get me wrong but Melo is better overall
@trmk12 but where is jeremy lin now
Yes he has a championship but he plays minimum mins
But he dosent deserve that
Of jeremy lin got more he would have been a good player
@@vb3710 uh, are you just assuming Melo is better because he gets all these contracts and crap? I bet you if Jeremy Lin stayed in Knicks without melo, they would go to playoffs. Melo thinks he's a superstar and is a wannabe Lebron. Learn your stuff before you talk about it.
@@yoshixed244 isn't that what I just said
@@yoshixed244 I said if Jeremyin got more minitues he would have been a good player
Melo:A selfish player is jealous of a unselfish player.
Linsanity could’ve continued for at least another season if the knicks would sacrifice melo
Neither stoudemire nor carmelo wanted him so.......
Χαραλαμπος Νικολαου
Stoudemire did want him, he is literally quoted saying that it was Melo who was salty that Lin was taking the shine
Houston literally offered a now illegal balloon contract that the Knicks couldn’t have matched. Plus he was a system player who only flourished under D’Antoni’s offense
Or if he never got injured in Brooklyn he was on pace for a good year that year
Even if melo is gone D'Antoni would probably still leave the knicks which hurts lin's game cause D'Antoni offence was the reason he scored
Can we blame Melo for the end of Linsanity
Yes
Now they are both out of the league .....
@thirstpolice bruh Lin went to China .. And the chances of melo being picked up are slim to none , Crazy part is melo is still a baller but his attitude is what keeps him from getting signed .... Look it up , Lin even signed a contract
We should
Lin is at least still playing in China, while Melo is not even signed to a contract
Jeremy Lin was a symbol. A hero we all need but don't deserve.
Damn son u speakin facs
Damn bruh
Lmao
A hero 😂
Sounds like Dark Knight...
Carmelo killed Linsanity, he was jealous that Lin was getting all the attention and not him, so he told the organization im not staying if u guys resign Lin SMFH.
kalem rhodriguez Jealous of what ?
Jeremy Lin was not a great player. Not a Very good player.
Carmelo was.
@@Johnkoth he was mad he was having a great season and getting all the attention
If lIn is so dope then why is he not playing now? Meanwhile Dwayne wade just retired and now is possibly going to play for the Lakers...cause he is really that good. Lin sanity had the potential to be a great in the NBA but clearly showed via a video that is still heavily in rotation of him being emotional about not being able to handle being a scrub in the NBA. He is a crybaby... crybabies don't last long anywhere. I actually got to play against him and he was struggling with semi pro ballers so... he was not that great of a player.
He is just another week minded individual using that almighty victim card when reality really told him the truth. Carmelo did not have shit to do with his failing career ya'll giving Melo too much power. Stop it. I know you have heard this saying so I will remind you again ...People don't change people they change them selves... what ever issues he had with Melo or the New York Nicks organization he let them issues destroy him from the inside out. That is not anybody's fault but his own.
He crying after getting a ring GTFOH. Reggie miller,Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury , Karl Malone,John Stockton, Jeff Honacek etc. A lot of well deserving players who never got rings... no crying. This pussy victim mentality is slowly killing off real men while you crybaby bitches complain literally over nothing with out putting in real hard work. GTFOH from a real man.
@@Johnkoth Don't mind this dude he part of that new way of woman hood oops I meant manhood.
Lin wanted to much according to management.
No reasonable team gives a player alot and has never played a full season.
Well-made video! I feel bad for Jeremy Lin, but at least his last season in the Nba resulted in him being an NBA champion with Toronto. I'm also gonna miss Lance Stephenson being in the nba since he was occasionally quite funny while playing for the Pacers.
Brace Brooks in the Chinese league now 😂😂
Brace Brooks lins season with Toronto made him less desirable by teams in free agency. It was the worst season he’s ever had where he actually played games. He got no chances in playoffs and even in the regular season, as he put up his worst PPG in a season ever.
*Lakers*
He now plays in cba (the Chinese equvolent of NBA). I'm happy for him as he gets all the minutes and attention he needed there. He just want to play ball.
Jeremy Lin was the best one
@Jonathan Lumbreras yup he was my inspiration to play basketball even though im short
Also a good example of a player that never got to fulfill his full potential
His career got destroyed by ball hogs
No Lance is
207DaPerfectOne right next to Yao Ming
Jeremy lin on a unselfish team could’ve been a All star 100%
Avg 7. 5 tos per game in nyk
Lin has mentioned multiple times about the racism he faced in the league. Which is not a surprise. NBA is really a white coach black player league. And Lin was neither.
So many NBA black players are tribal bitch made teenage girls too. I can see Lin having trouble being accepted and facing some behind the scenes political opposition
@Rasul Daniels i think it was from both sides honestly. Black players can be racist sometimes, like what Shaq did to Yao Ming when he first started out
@@willyhillydude Yes, well the tables are turned in China. In both the Chinese basketball and football leauges, black players are treated terribly by fans and players alike. If Chinese players want black players to give them special treatement in the NBA, maybe Chinese players need to speak up agains the overt racism Chinese people display towards black players and people in China.
@@sammylong3704 Chinese players in the NBA are far and few in between and they are under NO OBLIGATION to speak about the culture of a different league in a different country many thousands of miles away. Would you ask the same of a black guy from Chicago to comment on inequality in Zaire? No you wouldn't. So expecting a Chinese AMERICAN person born and raised in the US to do that is equally absurd
@@willyhillydude So are the Chinese players in China who abuse black players also tribal bitch made teenage girls?..,..
“Lance led the league in triple doubles with 5”
Russell Westbrook: hold my beer
Hold my rebound
Actually better
Lance led the league in triple doubles with 5
Westbrook: HaHaHaHaha
Pace
Russell Westbrook: Laughs in assists
@420 Bassman yeah
Jeremy Lin would have been really good if he was the main guy
I know Melo ruined it and in bk he got a chance but unfortuntaltly got hurt a lot and then the patella tendon injury
Lin wasnt a one hit wonder. Injuries just sapped his athleticism which he relied on so much. He was actually one of the most athletic guards coming into the draft.
Crazy how Asians are seen as unathletic but here's a Harvard graduate shitting on kobe by dropping 38
@@Poloskii who the hell thinks Asians are unatheltic? Damn people really need to think before they make rumors like this man
You forgot to mention that Melo ruined his career by being selfish btw. Totally agree tho.
I admire the effort u put in makin these vids actuaalllly
ILF PLAYS this dude is one of the top NBA you tubers along with JxmmyHighroller and a couple others. LostnUnbound is ass.
Tyreke Evans was my guy, I used to call him the Layup King
@Noyce Gaming Facts, watched him at Memphis after Rose. Him and Bron was the reason my layup game was impeccable and I'd rather drive than shoot. It's the other way around now 💯
Was NOT expecting anyone to remember Devin Harris. One of my favorite players ever. Liked watching him on the Mavs and Nets (and mavs again)
Weird line though when he said joining Vince in NJ meant Devin could “finally” play with a star
Everyone remembers ludacris
@@ShortSight32 glad I'm not the only one who saw it lol
Jeremy Lin's was Melo's fault. No one can change my mind.
The Knicks had their best season right after Lin Left
Random Wyvern No the Knicks had their best season in like 1988 lmao.
@@j.r.2674 Post Linsanity... was it really necessary for me to spell it out?
Random Wyvern what are you even saying? You’re shmacked.
@@j.r.2674 Alright... let me explain.
Jeremy Lin was with the Knicks during the 11-12 season, the Knicks record was 36-30.
During the 12-13 season (The year Lin was no longer on the Knicks), the knicks record was 54-28.
I'll say it one more time, the Knicks had their best season right after Lin left (post Linsanity).
Roy Hibbert should be a honorable mention
As a Knicks fan this brought a tear to my eye reminiscing on *Linsanity* 😭 If it wasn’t for Melo man 🤦🏻♂️
K B honestly tho
But now Jeremy Lin is from Linsanity to Champion, Melo still got no champ like Chris Paul
Thunder Ball True true although he still feels empty which makes me sad 😭 he woulda been a star along with Melo
@@angelob2375 Maybe he could be a pointing guard version of Yao Ming.
I might watch CBA because of him, but what I remembered was TMAC went to CBA and got 12 continuous loses in games... it's aint eazy
Jeremy Lin is just hitting his prime now. He will be a legend in China playing for the Beijing Ducks. I will follow Jeremy Lin in the CBA closely.
MCW got injured tho, and that injury was said to have a big impact on him and his career
Tyreke wasn't a fluke, no other team plays him right. He is a point gaurd but he's been played at sg or sf for the rest of his career. If he played pg guarantee he would be all star level
jleverett42 Gaming exactly the dude was born with the ball in his hands he is a monster with it
@@ch.illmatic fr tho
But now he’s out of the league and it’s all his fault no one else’s
That's true. Great player wrong team
@@autumnandandre4059 bruh maybe he did drugs cause he was a winner his whole career, and finally his dream job in the NBA gets plagued by injuries and playing on trash ass teams that can't play him right
I love how everyone defends Lin
i remember people used to say that the 2013 draft was weak now look at them now
Tyreke Evans having at least 2 or 3 seasons that were around as good as his excellent Rookie year kind of negates the whole 'one hit wonder' tag on him. He obviously has had multiple excellent seasons at this point, over the course of several years, mixed in with not as good seasons as well. So, at this point, he has had, if anything an extremely 'up and down' career, but certainly not a one hit wonder.
Agreed
I miss linsanity...
I think Jahlil Okafor is going to find his home . He’s played well on the Pels
Maddy Black I’m glad someone else was thinking it. The 76ers never developed him properly and all the trade rumors must have to have caused blocked mindset
Maddy Black he’s only 23 and yeah hopefully he finds his home and hits his max potential.
Nets Lin was at Linsanity stats, but injuries ruined him. The most unlucky player of all time.
Drose 🥀🥀
tmac
Aiden Pierce at least D Rose is making s comeback. Jeremy Lin won’t ever.
Boogie
There is no way you can believe that Lin is more unlucky than markelle faults I swear his parents must have been on sum cause man is he unlucky
I remember people saying Jahlil Okafor was gonna be the new Tim Duncan 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Jeremy Lin at least won a championship tho.
If he doesn't come back in the NBA, at least he leaves w/ a ring
The thing with Jeremy was that he was a bit “system oriented” you could say. He was really good with the pick & roll and Mike D’Antoni’s playing style and when playing with centers like Brook Lopez and Al Jefferson, the pick & roll wasn’t always the best like with Tyson Chandler
Love the video keep the grind going
I'm glad for the love JLin is getting in these comments, he really deserved better.
GREAT vid. great concept.
the Process worked out great with Embiid and Simmons, but they 76ers blew 3 or 4 other picks...
Results matter. Simmons is not a true leader. The process failed to deliver and will not deliver.
I love your videos man
10:31 I freaking knew he would be on this list, its a sad story because he had so many injuries that really held him back
When Jeremy is healthy he produces look at his stats in Charlotte and in the nets
Another great vid
3:13 Boel Embiid
He said “but while, embiid”
Andrew Bynum was accidentally good for a season or 2
It's alright jeremy. Melo's not coming back!
It looks like both of them aren't coming back but at least Jeremy walked away with a ring.
But he is now
Look like melo's the reason why blazers are winning now
@@kidskid8210 bold comment
@@kidskid8210 blazers still ass
Lin and MCW are players who has potential but things outside of their power stripped their potential.
For MCW, it's his pinched nerve injury (remember Steve Nash's time with the Lakers?) For Lin, it's injury in Brooklyn and Melo's jealousy during his Linsanity season.
Ron Artest because he hit one guy during a game and got suspended
Then went on to hit one of the biggest shots in Playoffs history.
He hit another guy in the malice at the palace, so that is more than one hit so that's why he didn't make the list.
Melo ended Linsanity just because he was jealous of Lin's attention. Now Lin has a ring while Melo is stuck ball hogging on a team out of the playoffs this season who last season was in the conference finals
While I am really sorry for Jeremy Lin ... Where the hell is Isaiah Thomas with his great season in Celtics !?
He is a bit more than a one hit wonder
Did you just say 22 points 13 rebounds and nine steals for his first NBA game 🙌🏾 that's wild
Carmelo is more than a team killer he’s a career killer.
What’s wrong with The Association?
They can’t see who the real star is?
Linn is not the only person this has happened to in History but he’s definitely 1 of the most known.
He already accumulated a following that quick so it made no sense that they killed his career over Melo.
Even though Melo did have die hard followers just because they believe everything told to them by ESPN.
Melo didn't kill Lin's career, Lin killed his own career chasing money (also injuries).
He plays best in a fast paced pick and roll offense as the primary ball handler. Which was his role in Atlanta.
Tyreke was straight fire on the court, explosive, athletic, good handles, really given gift to play world class basketball.Sometimes things don't work out in life :/
Lance is not a one hit wonder, he’s a pacer all time great and deserves his jersey retired by the team.
........
Alex Hughes 🤡
Anthony Bowles you ain’t a pacer fan so you don’t understand the fan base surrounding this wonderful man Lance. He’s my favorite player of all time. Lance is love lance is life
Lebron James I’m gonna have Lance blow in your ear again.
He's obviously trolling
Linanity was ruined by Melo. I remember that so vividly. Linsanity wasn’t just about him, but it was getting guys the ball and showing that Dantonis system (not a fan of him) was working as it got the ball to others on the perimeter and set up a high one system, which is what Dantoni had in Phoenix. Lin struggles against aggressive teams that double teamed and took away his right (the heat when they had Norris cole and lebron and wade), but that system could’ve been a foundation and blueprint for potentially new pgs to come to the team. Melo messed it up by wanting to go back to the ineffective iso Melo ball that led the knicks nowhere. And stoudamire said it was Melo, not him, who didn’t want Lin to shine. Remember, amare flourished that half year with Felton In the same system. So he would’ve been fine with Linsanity .
For someone who could come in, get hot so quickly, take over games, etc. Its crazy teams like the Lakers couldn't have at least made better use of JLin as that first guard off the bench. Even if you weren't going to let him really do his thing, for whatever reason teams came up with that week, he could have been a great sixth man.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that jeremy lin got a ring before carmelo,cp3,westbrook, harden and paul george
Don't let this distract you from the fact that he played no minutes
Don't let that fact distract you from the fact that after he got the ring he cried like a emotional little bitch cause nobody wanted him in the NBA. What does it mean to have a championship ring if you only got it by being on the bench when your team won?
@Unixe Lol. Kept track. I really play basketball.. I keep track of all basketball players worth tracking. Jeremy Lin had a great start let people and the NBA get in his head. From that point on I knew he was done. Now if I were a reverse racist then I guess I would choose Yao Ming over Jeremy.. Either way Jeremy lin is a burnt out scrub. Yao Ming left Standing tall and proud representing for his country and people Jeremy left crying like a bitch with a ring. No pity here.
I'm 40 years old still balling no excuses here.
@Unixe Well I happen to be in the circles of pro athletes. I really know and play with pro and semi pro basketball players so..yeah. I also know that Lin will be getting paid at least Half a million less than semi pro players who never made it to the NBA with no rings...so yeah.
You can be mad at the fact that I'm basically shutting down all this delusion on this comment section. There are a ton of Asian basketball players that deserve all this gas ya'll pumping into a certified basket ball lame.
Don't let this distract you from he was in right place at the right time 🤡
Either way good video
THANKS SO MUCH FOR A JEREMEY LIN TRIBUTE
Jeremy Lin was the best one, because he was a world sensation. None of the other guys was on the news like Linsanity. Even it was just 2 weeks, he was bigger than Melo in NYC in all his years combined. Never seen or hear the garden erupt like that since Larry Johnson’s 4 point play over Antonio Davis...
7:50 crazy to think that then the league high in TDs was 5.Just makes us appreciate Westbrook's 42 TDs even more
Quad* including TOs
I’m more of an NFL guy myself but people always forget about these players that have one season where they are awesome and then they fizzle out. I hate when people take one season and judge a player to be the next grade because of it. I’ve got to see a few seasons where they come through and they are consistent. If I remember correctly Jeremy Lin got some big money after his good season and now I’m not even sure where he is. I. Get that team owners want to be able to say that they gambled and got the next big thing but a lot of the time, more often than not probably, it doesn’t work out
Linsanity was a solid and productive guard. He just wasn't in the right situations to where he could maximize his potential. Whether that's playing with Melo in NYK, Harden in HOU, Kobe in LA etc.
Hey everyone! Give me some ideas to try for the Secret Badge down below! I’m going to go through this list tomorrow and try the best ideas on stream! 🙏❤️
What
Honorable mention:
OJ Mayo
Aaron Brooks
Evan Turner
A lot of them either got removed from the best team for them or got injured
Imagine if Danny Granger was able to stay healthy, damn PG, Hibbert, Stephenson (i think his play wouldve been better) and getting Turner, this starting 5 wouldve been absolutely deadly. Granger had such a pure, smooth and collected game.
Clark son might be the next one on this list out of all these ppl
You should do best deadline trades
Coaching effects those one hit wonder guys so much.
Jeremy Lin was a one hit wonder bc the nba doesn’t want him and it’s sad 🤦🏽♂️
He was actually great with Hornets and Nets. His injuries ruined him
I entered comments section and there's like 12 comments about Lin in a row. Guy must have been really special by the time.
I need to see another J/Lin all-star type player foreal this time. I was never big on Yao Ming. I was surprised he went in the hall of fame. I didn't know he was that good
I must mention Mike James' '05-'06 season where at 30 years old he averaged 20ppg & 6apg for the Raptors and he never averaged more than 12ppg in any other season.
I think one of the big reasons why Lin didn’t succeed was that he was always the only good player on his team in high school and college. He was always the go to scorer and had the ball most of the time. Because of this, he was very uncomfortable in the NBA when he was playing off-ball. Most star players adjust to playing with other great players in college, but unfortunately for Lin, he didn’t get a single D1 scholarship offer despite being one of the best high school players in the country. And sadly, he was overlooked partly bc he was Asian. If Jeremy was white or black, I have no doubt he would’ve had a more successful NBA career.
I think Lin and Tyreke could've been superstars given the chance. Due to unfair reputations, they never did. They weren't one hit, it's just nobody wanted to see them succeed in that way
The NBA gods wanted to injure them
Jeremy Lin is more like a one month wonder.
Nobody:
Rookies: I think its time to shave my head
Isaiah thomas should’ve been on this list
Your correct
day 20 of asking Austin to do either the top 20 best left handed shooters in the league right now or the clutchest player from every NBA team ranked based off of their performance last season.
During Linsanity those first seven games was my funnest time watching basketball
Funny thing is none of these guys can hold a candle to the greatest NBA one hit wonder in my lifetime Dana Barros.
Jeremy Lin is a champion and I’m sure he’s happy to live by that as much as hardwork he put in. I’m happy for him.
He said himself that he didn’t think he deserved the championship.
J Lin win the Spurs would work, he would play as passing 6th man. With Parker as first, Manu plays SG and R.Jeff as SF since he's athletic enough.
Make a projections video, who will get mvp, dpoy, rookie etc
Kobe not only create history in NBA, he made the colour Purple proud to be his Logo and Lakers legacy. No one could had made people that love purple that proud anymore .To me Kobe Equal Purple
Melo killed linsanity
Actually Mike D"Antony was fired by the Knicks
Looking back, Jlin would've had a great career, however when you think about it really hard, his greatest asset was his ability to drive hard and finish. Which ultimately led to his injuries. Not to say he wasn't great at anything else, but he was known for getting those tough shots in. Whether Melo accelerated his decline, it was inevitable.
If mcw woulda stayed at one team he woulda been better
Goddamn Lance just faked me out my shoes ...
Sad that some of these ended cause of injuries or other people messing up they game up
I'm confused if someone is rlly good one season why aren't they good next season plz need answer
Smh did you really just say that devin Harris didn’t have a star player with him before Vince carter? Dirk won MVP while he was in Dallas his first go round.
Basically everyone the Sixers drafted between the A.I. & Embiid era lol
Lin ended up winning a ring Melo still hasn’t won one yet so
Felt bad for my guy MCW 😩😩
I missed Jeremy Lin ie Linsanity by Steve Irungu Jermaine
Jeremy lin was nasty. He had good handles.
Jeremy Lin had injury issues and wasn’t trusted enough to have the keys to the offense. When he was leading the offense he had the great stats he had, when the team changed the system around, his numbers dropped a bit.
Terrohn Jackson He did not have great stats ever
j k 25 pts must be something everyone does then🤷🏾♂️ even before he got hurt at the nets he was averaging 20 pts a game
He never averaged 1 season above 18.0 PPG
@@Johnkoth i would love to see you try to put up 18 ppg leave Lin alone
j k obviously you misunderstood what I said, I said he averaged that UNTIL one of the three problems I mentioned happened. If they didn’t happen he would’ve averaged that many for the whole season, but when he was bouncing to different teams he wasn’t trusted to be the 1st option until he finally got to Brooklyn, but got hurt after the first 4 games of the season averaging 25. It’s either injury, not being given a chance, or the arrogance of other teammates(basically what happened at the knicks) that kept Lin from producing at his maximum level
6 Greatest "One Hit Wonders" in the NBA
too bad roy hibbert was not included
