This is a quick how-to guide on the removal of a 2010-2011 Camaro steering wheel and airbag assembly and how to install a 2012+ steering wheel and airbag assembly.
The following is required to do this modification:
2012+ Camaro Steering Wheel: All models interchange (LS/SS/ZL1)
    www.gmpartsgiant.com/oem-chev...)
2012+ Camaro Airbag Unit: 23170890 or interchange
    Tools:
    - 10mm Deep Socket
    - T50 Torx Bit
    - Breaker bar or impact
    - Small flathead screwdriver
    - Long allen key or thin flat tool to disengage airbag clips
    - Torque wrench
    Note:
Watch the video in full before performing this installation and ALWAYS disconnect your battery prior to performing this modification. Failure to remove power has the potential to cause the airbag to deploy.

    • @douggross8093

Normally just turn the wheel 180 degrees so it's upside down to get to the holes. Then I normally use a pick or even a small Allen wrench to insert into the hole and push the clip. They are a pain even at the best of times so it all about patience. If you don't feel comfortable definitely take it to get done somewhere. It sometimes helps to take of the trim from around column off to get better access. And most importantly disconnect both cables from the battery before doing any of this. Good luck!

Know this is a late reply but if the clockspring turned at all while the steering wheel was off then you'll need a new clockspring as the winding inside of the clockspring unwound and broke. It's a thin ribbon of wire inside of the clockspring that is very delicate and the slightest movement can break it. Hope this helps!
