- Step by step tutorial on how to program a new key fob to your 2010-15 Chevrolet Camaro if you do not have a spare key already. Since the car doesn't recognize the new key, it will take a while but follow the steps and you will have a working key in about 30-45 minutes. Usually works the third try. Hope you enjoy!

U only have to turn key to off position for 5 secs. No need to take key out. It's called 10x10x10 method.

My original remote was broken so i just ordered a new keyfob and opened the remotees and simply place the old key in the new fob. Didn't have to cut the new one & it worked instantly. But thanks!
Did you use new circuit or old circuit and did your buttons work on the fob automatically??

This worked for me. I had the recall seperate key and key fob from previous owner and one blade key fob. Swapped blade key to new correct fcc id fob and tried spare key method with no success. First time and 30 minutes later I now have 1 new blade/key fob. I started up, remote start and locks/trunk works, assuming panic button works. Then I stuck my recall key into ignition and instantly it said 2 keys programmed but the seperate fob does not work. Any help is appreciated.

My keys still unlock everything.
The deterrent comes on but then if we wait and shut the key off then back on no deterrent comes back on. It’s like the car is fine then go to start and all lights on dash go off.

I did this and it sorta worked but really didn't. It does start my car now, but the remote locks and trunk button don't work, and now neither does my other key. I'm so frustrated! Why did it do this?!

I only have the valet key. Can you confirm that you got your new key fob key cut from your valet key and that you didn't keep the valet key anywhere in the car for this video?

I got one cut from the dealership, but it won’t turn the ignition at all, does that mean they cut the pattern wrong?
Marv If it doesn’t turn at ALL, they probably did cut it wrong. Did you give them the VIN?

Mine 2012 RS has the same issue that theft detterent symbol never gone off !! waiting for +10mins no matter inside/outside car. Gonna try to get some guys to push start the car since I had manual one, not sure it should work tho

This process is to reset and delete all the programed key fobs except for the one you're using. If you're looking to add another fob first put in the working key, turn it to the on position, then turn it to off and put in the new key and fob, and it should be programed. You'll get a message on the display saying how many keys you have programed now
Ex-boyfriend gave me a key from his old Camaro which he no longer has for use as a spare on mine. Does anybody know if I can have to reprogram it when I put the key in it doesn't turn and I saw online where you can leave your door open and hit your door lock switch 5 times Etc in order to program it but I don't know that I used key
Trigger Toes That key will not work with your car. Each car has a different ignition cylinder to prevent theft. You have to get another key cut for your car
angelm_ix question. Maybe not they key, but the actual fob. Can I grab a fob from eBay and reprogram it to my Camaro? I have the original key and it cranks the car no problem, but the buttons on my fob are goners. And I mean the actual insides are toast also.
