Tatsuya had a hard life. The hardest out of any Persona protagonist. Minato may be dead but at least people remember his sacrifice. Tatsuya saw the first world blow up and since he's a Paradox he can't live in the second so he has to go back to the destroyed universe. A fate probably worse than death. Guess why the title is called "Eternal Punishment".
Minato didn't just die. He has to live his "life" as a seal to nyx. I do agree that tatsuya had a harder life than Minato, it's just that he has it hard as well.
I know that your comment is a week old and I do agree with you. However, Minato became a seal for Nyx so Erebus can't get close to her and Elizabeth is working to save him from his fate so someone at least acknowledges him. Heck, even his teammates don't forget about him.
Tatsuya doesn't have this luxury. He's literally doomed to suffer the chaos of the other side of his sin of refusing to forget about his friends and the life he had just so he can save the world again this time by himself but the kicker is that he knew all this would happen once he's done. He was doomed from the start of the game. And no one is going to help him from this fate. That's why I say that Tatsuya had it the roughest.

@@supersaiyan4songoku980 In my original comment I was trying to say that Minato didn't die at the end of the game; he had to become a seal. By doing this he's not actually dead, but is forced to live there until Liz frees him.

Maya on this side still has Deja Vu in the ending when she saw this side’s Tatsuya so she still remembers to some degree. The idea is that this side is from the adult’s perspective, which means that they don’t have hopes and dreams like kids do, but they CAN defeat chaos by whittling it down little by little. So if Tatsuya is forced to repeat his cursed life, Maya will keep on remembering and perhaps be able to bring paradox Tatsuya to this side eventually.
What he did was an Innocent Sin, what he got was an Eternal Punishment...

I like battles like this. It shows the struggle the protagonist is having against the last boss. Fitting for the final boss fight. Unlike most youtubers who keep posting 'final battle' ownage, it's empty videos. This fight is intense, good job!

I used Tetraja, herios by 3 characters and anti magic bead to beat him. Fuhrer in Innocent Sin was harder though.
I just spammed the dragon fusion spell three times and call it a day.
It’s a bit odd that the games where you’d realistically be beating it by level 70 or so are much harder than, say Four, where you max out your level well before the final boss (or I was, at least, being a few levels below the cap during the Marie dungeon, compared to barely being leveled enough to equip P1’s ultimate personas.)
Having read the plot, it is rather fitting that Maya dealt the final blow.

Both Persona 2 are the best Personas for me. I really love the OST in these games specially the Final Boss theme.
Those sudden death from the spells the boss uses can cause a lot of tactic mess ups. I personally liked Nyarlatothep boss fight due to his personality and how he brings himself as a villain.

Ngl, for this battle I didn’t know the portal leading to it was the final boss so when I got there already damaged, I was freaking out because I didn’t save 😂 still beat it first try tho so that was an experience. I’m just glad I kept all of the Max healing items for then

I believe Tatsuya can undo the destruction of his original world, based that on Persona 5 there are characters who don't die because someone wishes them to live.
Let’s hope the Final Game of the Series gives him and Maya the chance to alter Fate and finally be together again… Then, they can join the other Champions of the Velvet Room from all the games, to combine their powers and finally seal away the Crawling Chaos, the True Great Enemy, once and forevermore !!

Is just me or if Tatsuya didn't do what he did, it would have lead to a timeline loop? Start the rumors, they fight, Maya dies, reset and repeat, Tatsuya by not forgetting gave everyone a chance to escape the loop
Note that the reset basically erased the history of the Innocent Sin cast ever meeting as kids so I don't think a loop would be made

Honestly from what I remember, the only bad voice actor in this game was Joker's. (and Maya's if you even count hers) Everyone else was pretty well done. Nyarlathotep is really good though
If you mean Tatsuya Sudou, his voice acting isn't really terrible imo. And it's surprisingly closer to the Japanese voice than one would expected.

Man. Persona 2 deserves a remake. Both innocent sin and eternal punishment. I love the ending of innocent sin. And how it ends in eternal punishment. God damn the writing is so good
And to this day no villain/antagonist in the persona series has been as powerful/threatening as Nyarlathotep. He’s my favorite antagonist/villain in the entire MegaTen franchise I love him so much. Before anyone says anything about Nyx or Yaldaboath being more powerful than him they aren’t since they are only pieces of the collective unconscious that were created by humans and aren’t specifically the embodiments of humanity where Nyarlathotep and Philemon are, and are called the rulers of the collective unconscious and have the same powers and abilities as Nyx and Yaldy if not to a higher extent as demonstrated in this duology.

Chaos element is pretty bad when it hits a high multiplier. I didn't understand why it sometimes wiped random characters out with 800 ish damage but other times did like 200.

i think Erebus is one aspect of the dark side of the human consciousness, while Nyarlathotep is all of them.
I thought Erebus was humanity's desire for death while Nyarlathotep is the chaos and hate of the human heart.
Nyx and Erebus combined are pretty much retconned Nyarlathotep. They both have his features.

Finally I have completed this masterpiece today, before the release of Tactica, what can I say even better ride than Innoncent Sin.
Played PSP version with HD textures and English Dub mod, you also get the additional scenario if you have IS saves, which kinda nice bonus, true shame that is forgotten by Atlus.
That being said best story of Persona games.

Innocent Sin’s final boss was way better and harder imo. I still love Nyarlathotep’s design here though.
Master 18 is the WORST attack of all Persona series.
The fact that he has multiple moves makes it more difficult.
Although its fair they only gave Nyarlathotep one turn in this game I mean Shadow kill and Unperishable Blavk can disintegrate your HP. Him following it up with another move like Chaos Element will be too unfair.

There's certain choices to make during the shadow encounters that will either make the fight easier or make it harder, there should be some online guides out there with the choices for what does what.
Damn i always was interested on the first 2 persona's, this is just disheartening, there's no winning on this one, now i see why Persona 3's resolution was like a "bang" with the protagonist literally sacrificing itself to protect everyone from their wicked desires so P4 and 5 could be more "lighthearted" than the rest, this is just like entering a void knowing you cannot escape while having no choice

julie martinez It's implied they know each other, they just never remember the most important memories (those being the Nyarly fights and flashbacks) they made together. They can be friends again too, it was Tatsuya from the Other Side that prevented that since he was a Paradox.
I do recommend you to play it because Innocent Sin is a good game on its own, this one is more like a nice additive to the ending.

in persona 5 every time you make a new persona, or talk to them to obtain them..they literally speak to you.
